PSG vs Tottenham - Super Cup Final: Live score, team news and updates as Spurs eye their second trophy in just three months
I have been listening to a lot of Elton John lately - his music is literally in my ears as I type this opening post - so I thought I would incorporate some of his music into the blog. Why not?
It's a feel-good tune, and boy, do I feel good about what we have in store for you tonight.
We had the English football curtain raiser on Sunday, now it's time for the opening scene of the European football show. Let's hope we are in for an entertaining start, like we were at Wembley.
Last season's Champions League winners, PSG, take on the reigning Europa League champions Tottenham (yes, they really did win a trophy last season) at the Blunergy Stadium in Udine, Italy.
Pre-season is well and truly over now, folks; this is where the fun truly begins.
Grab yourself a drink, some snacks, and enjoy the show.

This time Hugo Ekitike turns provider, laying the ball into the path of Cody Gakpo on the left of the penalty area. Lovely stuff! 4 minutes ago By Sam Dymond Cody at the Kop! 27 minutes ago Ken Lawrence on Antonine Semenyo abuse There always has to be an idiot. On a night so full of emotion around the tragic death of Liverpool striker Diogo Jota, amidst a belter of a game with Bournemouth really impressive on the counter before Hugo Ekitike's fine Prem debut goal, the last thing the occasion needed was a racist comment. But that is what Antoine Semenyo reported to referee Anthony Taylor that he heard from the crowd. The guilty party or parties should be ashamed of themselves. Disgraceful. 28 minutes ago By Sam Dymond Liverpool 1-0 Bournemouth 42. Milos Kerkez goes into Anthony Taylor's book.
