Lulu to headline Hebridean Celtic Festival in her farewell tour year
This year's festival will take place from July 16 to July 19 in and around Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis.
Known for her hit singles such as "Relight My Fire," "Boom Bang-A-Bang," and "Shout," Lulu will grace the main stage on July 18.
Having rocked the crowd at Glastonbury last year, this will be Lulu's final year of touring.
Skerryvore (Image: Supplied) Lulu said: "I'm looking forward to visiting the Outer Hebrides and performing at HebCelt in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis - see you in July."
Joining her is the Celtic rock band Skerryvore who will celebrate their 20th anniversary with a performance on July 19.
Accordionist and founding member Daniel Gillespie said: "This is a special year for the band as we celebrate 20 years of Skerryvore.
"To headline the Saturday night at HebCelt means the world to us as we remember playing McNeils Bar all those years ago and dreaming of playing the main stage of the festival.
Nina Nesbitt (Image: Supplied) ''We can't wait to see everyone on the island in July and have a very special show planned to celebrate 20 years."
Other performers include "Mountain Music" star Nina Nesbitt and headliners Tide Lines.
Nina, who has been supporting Snow Patrol on their sold-out UK and Ireland tour, will make her HebCelt debut.
She said: "I'm looking forward to visiting HebCelt for the first time - it's always a pleasure to play for a Scottish crowd."
The 2025 line-up also features Brit Award-winning Eddi Reader, Kassidy, Tom McGuire & The Brassholes, TRIP, Astro Bloc, Isla Scott, Laura Silverstone, Cassie and Maggie, Alasdair White & Keith Morrison, Ciorstaidh Beaton, Iona Mairead, and Fèis Eilean an Fhraoich.
They will be joined by previously announced acts such as Beluga Lagoon, Lauren Collier, LUSA, El Sartel, Samba Sene & Diwan, The Tumbling Souls, Josie Duncan, Madison Violet, Elias Alexander, Cala, Trail West, Ruairidh Gray, Malin Lewis Trio, internet sensation NATI, and Gaelic TV icon Donnie Dòtaman.

"Our Celtic roots are proudly represented with Skerryvore marking their 20th year and consistently one of our most requested acts by fans, Highland heroes Tide Lines, and festival favourites like Trail West, Cala, and The Tumbling Souls.
"We're also thrilled to spotlight talents like LUSA and Elias Alexander, alongside live sensations Beluga Lagoon, Tom McGuire & The Brassholes and Kassidy.
"There's truly something for everyone at HebCelt, including cult Gaelic star Donnie Dòtaman who lit up so many childhoods, and the talented young musicians from Fèis who once again are opening the Island Stage on Saturday afternoon.
"This year's festival also has the strongest line-up of female performers any of us can remember, from our headliners Lulu, Nina and Eddi to the likes of Madison Violet who have just announced this will be one of their last shows, plus new and exciting talent such as Laura Silverstone, Iona Mairead, Ciorstaidh Beaton and Isla Scott.
"We simply can't wait to welcome music lovers of all tastes to what promises to be one of the most eclectic, vibrant, and memorable festivals yet."
A record 70 per cent of the acts this year are female-led or have female members.
This aligns with the festival's pledge to Keychange, an international campaign addressing gender inequality in the music industry.
HebCelt has had at least a 50:50 gender balance every year since 2014.
The festival will also feature a special celebration of An Lanntair, a renowned arts centre in Stornoway, marking its 40th anniversary.
Details will be revealed next month, including one-off performances and collaborations, live band ceilidhs, and the return of the beloved late-night festival club.
HebCelt has been a key event in Scotland's cultural calendar since 1996, attracting music lovers from around the globe to the Outer Hebrides.
The festival is on course to have helped generate more than £40 million for the local economy by its 30th anniversary in 2027.
Earlier this month, Creative Scotland endorsed the festival, securing its long-term planning with a three-year funding package.
Businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities, including three-year deals, can now apply.

Owners Adopt Shelter Dog, Get DNA Test—Results Reveal Shocking Twist
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Four years after adopting a dog named Lulu, a pet owner decided to do a DNA test. What followed was a shocking and heartwarming discovery: Lulu had a sister living in the same town. The owner, Amber Patrick, who shared the incredible story in a Reddit post, called the reunion of the two dogs "a dream come true." Patrick, 42, spoke to Newsweek about how she felt seeing the two pups get reacquainted, and what's to come for the siblings. In the post, Patrick explained that she and her family adopted the dog, a mix of dominantly 61 percent beagle, 18 percent chihuahua, and 6 percent Parson Russell terrier, from a county shelter. A couple of years later, a DNA test revealed a sibling match. Stock image: Two beagles play in the park. Stock image: Two beagles play in the park. Roman_Gorielov/Getty Images Patrick quickly connected with the sister's owner, and a playdate was arranged. "We got them together for a park playdate yesterday and it was one of my favorite afternoons ever," Patrick wrote in the post. "They were so much alike." Lulu's sister, named Lucy Lou, was also a rescue—though she was adopted as a puppy. "[Lulu] was around 10 years old when we got her and she has been the absolute best dog," Patrick told Newsweek. "We always say we aspire to have Lulu levels of chill. When we met her sister, it was like seeing the same dog with different coloring." A Sibling Reunion The two dogs not only looked similar but also acted alike. "Their personalities are so similar and the minute they met, they were comfortable with each other," Patrick said. "I don't know that they remembered each other but there was a familiarity there. They felt something special for sure." The reunion was filled with sweet, subtle moments that suggested an instinctive connection. "Usually my dog initially barks (she is friendly though, it is just her knee jerk response)," Patrick added in the post. "But she didn't bark at all at her sister. That really surprised me!" They added that while they're not sure if the dogs remembered each other, they did sniff each other for a very long time. The story's serendipitous nature was a hit with other Redditors, with one writing, "That is so awesome! How serendipitous that you ran into each other." "They even have matching names!" another wrote. "Oh, I just love this so much!" A Happy Ending for Two Rescue Dogs The details of the dogs' lives before their reunion were a mystery. Patrick shared they weren't sure if the pups were together earlier in life. Lucy Lou's owner told Patrick that she was found on the streets and was "basically feral" when she was first rescued. In contrast, Lulu was turned in as a stray but seemed comfortable in a home. Now, Patrick said she feels like she has a few more family members—and the pups will have a whole week together when she pet sits Lucy Lou in September. What started as a simple curiosity on her part became a joyous reunion, suggesting that some family bonds are just meant to be. "I always hoped something like this would happen. I always hoped we would meet a sibling or one of her puppies," Patrick said. "It took a couple of years for the dream to come to fruition but it was absolutely worth the wait. Also, the fact that we live in the same town just feels too good to be true, almost divinely inspired."

Hellblade and London's Passarella Death Squad Unite for a Shadow-Soaked Capsule
Summary: Both Hellblade and Passarella Death Squad have been described as 'harrowingly beautiful.' One,Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, is an action-adventure video game by Ninja Theory rooted in Celtic and Norse mythology that follows the journey of a warrior named Senua as she navigates a hellish underworld. The other,Passarella Death Squad, is a British multidisciplinary studio producing clothing, music, books and art, all united by a contemporary noir aesthetic inspired by The Factory, Andy Warhol's famous Manhattan studio. To mark the release ofSenua's Saga: Hellblade II Enhanced EditiononPlayStation 5, the two are celebrating their harmonies once again through a curated capsule clothing collection titled 'Hellblade x Passarella'. Fittingly, the London-based studio's music has featured in the beloved game. Specifically, a remixed version of their track 'Just Like Sleep' that plays during the final battle in the game, – marked by haunting synth loops, drifting echoes, and a deep sense of both beauty and despair. Showcased through campaign imagery that captures their shared dusky allure, the exclusive release includes short and long sleeve T-shirts featuring graphics that reflect both brands' commitment to rich visual storytelling, with one tee reading 'I see through your darkness' across the back. The capsule also features four jackets with a streetwear edge, four sweats, and a short-sleeved shirt. Each piece is carefully crafted in England using a mix of Japanese and English fabrics, with designs intended to 'channel the haunting beauty of Hellblade, filtered through Passarella Death Squad's darkly romantic and cinematic lens.' The Hellblade x Passarella Death Squad capsule is out now, ahead of the August 12 release of Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Enhanced Edition on PlayStation 5 for the first time.
