Brain Navi has officially landed in Spain!
TAIPEI, Aug. 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Such an achievement has been made possible through the first of many collaborations with our valued partner, Palex Healthcare. This milestone has been reached not only thanks to Palex's solid reputation and deep experience in the Spanish medical market, but also due to the trust and commitment of their team. Brain Navi CEO Jerry Chen stated, "Brain Navi is proud to work alongside a partner that shares our vision of surgical innovation and desire to improve the well-being of patients continuously."
At this year's SENEC Congress, Spain's leading annual event hosted by the Spanish Society of Neurosurgery, which gathers experts from across the country to share the latest scientific advances and clinical innovations in the field, Spanish neurosurgeons had the opportunity to witness NaoTrac, Brain Navi's neurosurgical navigation robot, in action. Alongside Palex, Brain Navi showcased its technology throughout the event. Surgeons from all around Spain expressed strong interest in NaoTrac's capabilities and potential applications in their hospitals. "Spain holds great promise as a hub for neurosurgical innovation," said Carles Calaf, Director of the Neurosciences Business Unit at Palex Healthcare. "At SENEC, we witnessed firsthand how strongly surgeons responded to the need for more intelligent, AI-powered tools in the OR. This aligns with our belief that technology like NaoTrac can genuinely enhance surgical precision and support clinical teams in delivering better outcomes. With Brain Navi as our partner, we are confident this is only the beginning of helping more hospitals — and more patients — across Spain."
Just one week after the congress, the first NaoTrac system was installed in a Spanish hospital, where neurosurgeons, supported by Brain Navi and Palex teams, performed the country's first surgeries using the NaoTrac. The surgeons were highly impressed by NaoTrac's precision and intuitive design, highlighting its user-friendliness and value as a powerful asset in the Operating Room.
"At Palex, our mission is to bring cutting-edge medical technology closer to those who need it most," said Eulàlia Llopis, General Manager of the Hospital Area at Palex. "Collaborating with Brain Navi reflects our commitment to supporting clinicians with solutions that truly make a difference — in precision, efficiency, and above all, patient care."
For Brain Navi, this marks a major milestone in our global expansion, reinforcing the mission to improve patient outcomes through advanced medical technologies and to empower surgical teams with the best tools available.

Some call the Sussexes' Netflix deal a demotion - but the company still sees them as a power couple

While we're all desperate to know what this new deal is really worth in dollars and pounds, one thing I can tell you for certain is that Prince Harry and Meghan want us to know they're delighted that Netflix again wanted to get a deal done. "Absolutely over the moon" is how it was described to me. But they'll also be aware of the attention it'll attract as we all try to pick apart what it means. Firstly because of that ongoing fascination in how they're making money since stepping away from royal life and losing financial support from the King, but also because of the recent reports that Netflix were intending to cut ties. Yes this is a different type of deal from their original one in 2020. Some have argued that a "first look deal" looks like a demotion from what they previously signed up to. With no real clarity on how much their original deal was worth, and no numbers being publicly thrown around this time, that is hard to judge. But talking to those who know something about these kinds of deals you do get a sense it could potentially be more lucrative than it looks on face value. With first look deals, yes there is often financial commitments from the likes of Netflix to get that first exclusive look at projects and first refusal. But there could be other significant monetary incentives for the Sussexes to sign. For example, when the Obamas signed a first look deal with Netflix, the streaming service agreed to pay the operational costs for their production company "Higher Ground". Could it be that Netflix are also now covering the costs of Archewell Productions? It's stating the obvious to say that Harry and Meghan continue to divide opinions, some wanting to watch their programmes from a place of respect and fondness, others as a reason to grumble about them. But signing on this latest dotted line shows Netflix still sees them as a power couple, who attract significant attention and are worthy of investment, whatever that really adds up to.

Clarks launched its first podiatrist-approved walking shoes so you can log miles in comfort

Clarks is widely known for its comfortable everyday footwear (Walabees likely come to mind), but not so much when it comes to fitness-focused shoes. That is, until this month. The brand just launched its first-ever pair of walking shoes, called the Pace, which are podiatrist-approved to boot. While it may be tempting to lace-up your favorite running shoes for your daily walks, it's important the shoes you wear are actually suited for logging your 10K steps a day. That's exactly why Clarks created this innovative pair of sneakers specifically for casual strolls. Clarks Women's Pace Walking Shoes Clarks' Pace walking shoes feature the brand's Infinity Energy Capsules embedded into the soles, which help boost energy return for a fuss-free stride. These comfy kicks also come in medium and wide sizes for a more custom fit. Clarks Men's Pace Walking Shoes These shoes also boast a dual-layer foam that offers cushioning and stability, along with a molded heel for all-day support. Plus, these shoes also come in men's sizes and colors. If you're like me and expanding your fitness shoe lineup, it's likely time to invest in footwear made just for your daily walks. In fact, research shows that walking and running require different gaits and types of support, so it makes sense that you'd need to wear different shoes for each activity. Plus, having one pair of shoes dedicated to one activity could help increase their lifespan. Clarks' Pace walking shoes are approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association and have multiple features that make them ideal for walking. Most notably, they have a two-part sole system that delivers cushioning and stability, as well as an S-curve molded heel that offers immediate comfort to cut down on break-in time. The rubber outsoles also provide optimal traction and grip for a slip-free experience on a variety of surfaces. Not to mention, these sleek shoes can be easily paired with your favorite stylish athleisure and come in a variety of gorgeous colors. I own these in the Dusty Rose shade, which almost works as a neutral depending on what I'm wearing. I've taken these shoes on a few walks and they are definitely comfy. However, they feel a bit different than a running shoe, so they might take a little getting used to if you typically wear something super bouncy like a Brooks running sneaker (like I typically do) while logging your daily steps. Barcelona have closed their transfer window

Barcelona have closed their transfer window originally appeared on The Sporting News According to major Spanish outlet Barcelona are closing up shop for this transfer window after the departure of Iñigo Martinez. This news comes despite many fans wanting Barcelona to fill in the hole left behind by Iñigo and a backup fullback. Barcelona believe that they have enough depth even in the centre back position positions as they believe Pau Cubarsi, Ronald Araujo, and Andreas Christensen are all starter level players and Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia and Gerard Martin are good enough to play the position. It also comes down to Barcelona once again struggling to meet financial fair play rules and having to focus more on trying to register players before trying to sign any. They do have ways to do it but Barca have to wait if La Liga will approve the sales of VIP seats and if they approve Marc-Andre Ter Stegen's medical report which would free up his wages for registration. This could all be approved and Barcelona would be well within the 1:1 rule but it seems they have learned from the past to wait and see if everything goes right. Barcelona fans may feel underwhelmed by letting a starting centre back go for free as the team is left with Cubarsi, two injury prone centre backs, Kounde and Garcia who haven't been playing centre back, and Gerard Martin who has never played the position at a professional level. It's probably the wrong decision to let go of a centre back when Barca have more talent and depth in a position like midfield where they could afford to let a player go ,but as long as Barcelona register their players, it is still a great team and it should be an exciting season.
