Blow for Leinster as Jamison Gibson-Park ruled out of URC Grand final after picking up knock
The scrum-half was pulled from the starting XV this morning having picked up an unspecified knock in last week's semi-final win over Glasgow and failing to train properly during the week.
Gibson-Park is a world-class No.9 who is due to tour Australia with the British and Irish Lions this summer.
Luke McGrath, an experienced player who has played second-fiddle to Gibson-Park in the last five years, will step up from the bench while the inexperienced Fintan Gunners is added to the bench.

Niall Horan gets emotional revisiting beloved ground
Niall Horan has recently opened up about an emotional return to his beloved Pride Park – the home of Derby County. The former One Direction star is a huge Derby fan and shared how much he loves the club and the ground itself when he returned to watch them take on Coventry City on Saturday. Unfortunately for Niall, it wasn't a victorious return, although he did get to see a lot of goals in the Rams' 5-3 defeat to Frank Lampard's side. Niall Horan is a huge Derby County fan. Pic: GMCD Derby were 3-2 up with 20 minutes to go but couldn't hold on as Coventry sailed to victory, scoring three goals in seven minutes to claim all three points. Niall spoke about his long time support of the English side and revealed he used to get up at 4am to watch their matches while he was in the US. He told BBC Derby: 'I get very emotional about being here. I love this place. I love this ground. I love the vibe it gives off. I just love Derby County. Niall attempts to watch as many games as he can. Pic: Steve Galli/REX/Shutterstock 'I probably get here twice or three times a season, but get to a lot more away games. 'When we're on the road, I find it easier to make a quick train journey somewhere on a Friday night or a Saturday, maybe in London or something like that. Something that's a little bit closer to me. 'But I do spend a lot of time in the States and travelling and stuff like that. But I watch every single game on Rams TV for my sins sometimes, but I've been up early across the planet to watch the Rams. Won't miss a game.' Niall watched on as Derby lost 5-3 to Coventry. Pic: Jon Hobley/MI News/NurPhoto via Getty Images Niall went on to heap praise upon Derby manager John Eustace, who he believes in the best head coach in the EFL Championship. The singer continued: 'I love John, I think John Eustace is one of the best, if not the best, manager in the league. '(He's) one of the greatest British managers flying around. He's proving himself everywhere. He kept us up last season. He just needs to accumulate this team and make them look good. We've got a lot of injuries obviously, but today we were just sloppy. Unfortunately for Niall, it wasn't a victorious return, although he did get to see a lot of goals in the Rams' 5-3 defeat to Frank Lampard's side. Pic: GMCD 'I'm sure I won't be the only person to say that. We were all over the place. We didn't look energised, we didn't look like we could win a second ball. It was just very, very frustrating, but not a crazy day to be a Derby County fan. We've seen this before, and we'll be here again.' Niall's beloved side haven't had a great start to the new Championship season, losing 3-1 to Stoke City on the opening day before the defeat to Coventry. However, they did knock West Brom out of the EFL Cup in the first round on penalties. Derby have been drawn away to Premier League side Burnley in the second round, which will not be an easy task. Niall will be relieved that he still gets to watch Derby in the Championship after they narrowly avoided relegation to League One last season. The Rams' 0-0 draw with Stoke on the final day of the season was just enough to keep them up by a single point, but they rallied to win the two previous matches to escape the drop. Derby's late surge of form condemned Luton Town to back-to-back relegations. Niall will no doubt be keeping an eye on the side in their next Championship clash against Bristol City on Friday night.

Bournemouth sign Morocco winger Adli on five-year deal
Bournemouth have signed Morocco winger Amine Adli on a five-year contract from German side Bayer Leverkusen, the Premier League club said on Thursday as they continue their recruitment drive after losing several key players. Financial details were not disclosed, but British media reported that the 25-year-old France-born Morocco international was signed for a fee of around £25 million. Adli joins Ben Doak, Adrien Truffert, Dorde Petrovic and Bafode Diakite as new additions at Bournemouth. The club lost Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid, Milos Kerkez to Liverpool and Illia Zabarnyi to Paris Saint-Germain in the close season. Adli started his senior career at French side Toulouse before moving to Leverkusen in 2021. He registered 23 goals and 25 assists in 143 appearances for the German club, helping them to an undefeated domestic league and Cup double in the 2023-24 season. "Amine is a proven winner and someone that will be a real asset to our squad," Bournemouth's President of Football Operations Tiago Pinto said in a statement. "He's someone that has competed at the highest level and his ambition is very much aligned with ours." Adli will link up with Bournemouth ahead of Saturday's Premier League home game against Wolves. Bournemouth, who finished ninth last season, lost their opener against reigning Premier League champions Liverpool 4-2 last week. Reuters

‘Signing on fee of £1m... wow' – Roy Keane and Gary Neville reveal how much they earned at Manchester United
Keane moved to United from Nottingham Forest in 1993 for what was then a British record transfer fee of £3.75 million, with his status as the rising star of the Premier League securing the Irishman a big initial signing-on fee and huge rewards as he went on to become United captain. Now, a brutally honest Keane has opened up on his wages at United, with Neville holding up his contract on their YouTube show and announcing how much he was earning. "There is a contract for £2.75m-a-year in 2000 to 2003,' said Neville. 'Signing on fee for £1m. Wow. So you got £3.75m-a-year.' 'Then you've renewed and gone to £3.5m-per-annum in 2003-2005. And then they put your wages down,' questioned Neville. We need your consent to load this Social Media content. Keane then revealed he was paid less in his final spell at United, as older players were given performance-related contracts when they get older. The contract that was displayed by Neville also revealed that Keane was paid a £1m 'signing on fee' for 2002, 2003, 20024 and 2005 by United. Neville went on to reveal his salary during his time at United, in comments that gave viewers a candid insight into the finances that were being paid to the game's top players two decades ago. "That's double what I was earning in my last contract,' said Neville, as he compared his contract to Keane's. "He left six years before me, I finished on £2.3m in 2011. "I didn't negotiate my contracts, I just signed them, I was not bothered. Whatever they offered me. "Whatever they offered me, I just said 'That's fine, I'm not bothered'. I did question it because someone told me they had been offered £250,00 and I said I should be on the same as then." Keane brought some of his old Nottingham Forest, United and Ireland jerseys into the studio as he looked back over his career. He became emotional when he showed a photograph of his parents taken after one of United's Cup final wins at Wembley, with fellow Overlap contributor and former Arsenal striker Ian Wright tapping him on his shoulder to offer his show his support.
