F1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2025: Race, Qualifying, Practice Start Times And How To Watch Live
Formula 1 wraps up its first triple-header of the 2025 season this weekend at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah, running from April 18-20.
After four rounds into the 24-race season, McLaren is dominating both championships, sitting pretty at the top of the constructors' standings with 151 points – 58 points ahead of Mercedes and 80 points clear of Red Bull.
On the drivers' front, Lando Norris has stretched his lead to 77 points after finishing third last time out in Bahrain. His teammate, Oscar Piastri, has jumped Max Verstappen for second place after pocketing his second win of the season last weekend, now sitting at 74 points – just five points ahead of the Dutchman.
While McLaren is clearly the team to beat right now, Mercedes is demonstrating considerable strength after netting three podium finishes in the first four races through George Russell and could very well challenge the Woking squad in the upcoming rounds.
Round five of the season at Jeddah Corniche Circuit kicks off with FP1 on Friday, April 18 at 4:30 p.m. local time, followed by FP2 later in the day at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, April 19, drivers will climb into their cars for the final practice run (FP3) at 4:30 p.m. before they fight for grid positions in qualifying at 8 p.m.
The 50-lap race will get underway at 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 20.

Bryson DeChambeau named chair of President's Council on Sports Fitness & Nutrition
In addition to two-time U.S. Open winner, Bryson DeChambeau has a new title: chair of the President's Council on Sports Fitness and Nutrition. DeChambeau was at the White House Wednesday, standing alongside WWE wrestler Triple H, NFL great Lawrence Taylor and other athletes to help relaunch the Presidential Fitness Test as President Donald Trump signed an executive order to expand the Presidential Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. DeChambeau said he has a new mission beyond trying to break 50 on his YouTube channel. "We believe we can change the fabric of our communities and kids' livelihoods for the future generations that are to come,' DeChambeau said during the announcement. 'I can't thank you enough and looking forward to making massive changes in kids' lives and America's future." 🚨🏋🏻♂️🗣️ #NEW: Bryson DeChambeau has joined the Presidential Council on Sports, Physical Activity, and Nutrition. Speaking from The White House, DeChambeau says they have the opportunity to change kids lives. @BrysonLegion DeChambeau also did an interview on Fox News Channel's Special Report with Bret Baier. Asked why he was taking on this role, he said, 'Well, I think, look, I grew up in an era in my public education side of the coin where we had a fitness test. In reading up about it, since 1956, President Eisenhower established this and it has changed in form numerous times. And, you know, for me, all I want to do is inspire the next generation of young individuals that have passion around sport, health, nutrition, and fitness. And from my standpoint, re-establishing the President's Sports Council as well as the fitness test is a huge initiative for America and its health and fitness all across the board. 'So, we couldn't be more excited. I've got a great team behind me. We're establishing more council members as time is going on. And we're going to be excited to showcase what we have for the American public here soon.' DeChambeau famously re-made his body, consuming more than 6,000 calories per day and gaining around 40 pounds in an effort to chase speed and become the longest driver on the PGA Tour. He earned the nickname 'the Incredible Bulk.' He has since revealed that he regretted that decision due to some negative health impacts and has lost much of the weight. "I want to get kids excited about pushing themselves," DeChambeau said. The full interview with Bret Baier can be viewed here.

Rival's huge Oscar Piastri title statement after admission from McLaren teammate
Mercedes driver George Russell has given Oscar Piastri the edge to claim the Formula One world title ahead of McLaren teammate Lando Norris after marvelling at the Aussie's consistency this year. While Norris suggests the title will be decided by the driver who makes the fewest mistakes in qualifying, ahead of this weekend's Hungarian grand prix. Piastri will take a 16-point lead over his McLaren teammate into the next race in Hungary, where the Aussie will be looking to extend his lead in the drivers' championship standings. Piastri will be buoyed by his victory at last week's Belgian GP, where he overtook Norris on the first lap, on his way to a sixth race win of the season. Norris has claimed four victories himself this season but the ledger could have read 7-4 in the Aussie's favour, if he wasn't denied victory at the British Grand Prix. Piastri copped a penalty for braking behind the safety car at Silverstone, which handed Norris victory, but Mercedes rival Russell believes the Aussie looms as the man to beat this year. "Oscar's been very solid. I think he gets the most out of himself every single weekend, is my takeaway, he's very consistent, doesn't get flustered, and just delivers reliably, Russell said. "Whereas I feel Lando's got huge raw speed, but probably the hit rate isn't as high as Oscar's. "But they're two incredible drivers, and I think they'll continue fighting for quite a while. But Oscar doesn't seem very phased." Russell said Piastri's slip-up at the British GP shows how quickly momentum can shift in the title race but has been thoroughly impressed by Piastri's improvement this season. "It swings so quickly, doesn't it? The momentum shifts so quickly," he added. "But I think Oscar was a bit unfortunate in Silverstone. He could have also won the race in Austria, it could have gone very differently. "Lando, over the last three years, has beaten Oscar over that period, so you can't count out either of them, but I think it's definitely fair to say Oscar's sort of stepped up this year." Lando Norris identifies key to F1 title race Norris accepted there were 'certain things' he could have done better in last week's Belgian GP but admitted it would not have guaranteed victory. But the Briton insists that whoever makes the fewest mistakes - particularly in qualifying this year - will almost inevitably end up winning the title. "It's just who qualifies first and second more often. And you kind of just hold on in Turn One and then go from there," Norris said. "There's not been many races where positions have swapped through a race. So therefore it's more who can make the least mistakes when they qualify first." The Briton admits he's had a tendency to push the envelope too often, when a more conservative approach to his driving would be better. "Sometimes this year, even 95% would have been fine," Norris said. "These are some of my mistakes from earlier on in the season. I mean, I tried before at 101%. Sometimes that's amazing. Sometimes that's, I think, as good as you can get. I do believe that. But also at times I should drive at 95% or even 90% and that's not enough to be on pole or P2 sometimes." RELATED: Oscar Piastri responds amid uproar over Aussie's act on podium F1 driver in danger of being axed after incident with Oscar Piastri While a 'confident' Piastri echoed Williams' remarks by highlighting consistency as the key to his success. "Just trying to put together a solid, consistent year is ultimately going to be important," Piastri said. "The pace in the last few weekends, especially Spa, I've been very confident in and very proud of. "I'm more than capable of continuing that for the rest of the year. I'm confident that I can do it, but it's not going to be easy."
