Singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen calls out Trump admin
Bruce Springsteen called out the Trump administration during a recent show in the U.K., urging fans to "fight authoritarianism."
The Bear is now The Boss.
Jeremy Allen White, Emmy-winning star of FX's culinary TV series "The Bear," transforms into Bruce Springsteen in the first trailer for "Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere," a new biopic about the legendary singer.
The movie is set for release on Oct. 24 and centers on the creation of "Nebraska," the rocker's sixth album that included tracks like "Atlantic City" and "Open All Night." The trailer, released on June 18, features Springsteen's iconic tunes "Nebraska" and "Born to Run" and includes black-and-white scenes showing flashbacks to his childhood.
The tracks for Springsteen's hit "Born in the U.S.A." were created around the same time as the lo-fi classic "Nebraska," which was released in 1982. "Born in the U.S.A." debuted in 1984.
The "Nebraska" songs were recorded in a rented home in Colts Neck, New Jersey.
"Succession" star Jeremy Strong also appears in the trailer as Springsteen's manager, Jon Landau, who narrates the footage and describes the singer as a "repairman" who is fixing a hole in himself with his music. "Once he's done that, he's gonna repair the entire world," Landau says.
Disney's 20th Century Studios previously dropped a teaser for "Deliver Me from Nowhere" on June 17 showing a cassette being put into a tape player. The cassette reads "Colts Neck — Demo" and the song it plays is an acoustic version of "Born in the USA."
The film is based on the book "Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska" by musician Warren Zanes.
"It's about a very specific time in Bruce's life," said White to the Associated Press last month. "It's a period in which he finished 'The River' tour and he's locked up in Colts Neck and he's writing 'Nebraska,' so it's him by himself there for a lot of time."

"It's about the writing process and the creative process. We finished it in January and Bruce was there a lot of time. Jon Landau, his manager was there a lot of time. They seemed happy and that makes me happy.'
Location filming for "Deliver Me from Nowhere" took place primarily in New Jersey, including shoots in Asbury Park and Freehold, over the winter.
White does his own singing in the film, directed by Scott Cooper ("Crazy Heart," "Black Mass"). Paul Walter Hauser, Stephen Graham, Odessa Young, Gaby Hoffman, Marc Maron and David Krumholtz also star.

Earlier this month, she opened up to British GQ about how some of her previous work wasn't as emotionally challenging as she wished. More specifically, 2021's Free Guy starring Ryan Reynolds. While she had a great time working on the film, it just wasn't the right choice for her professionally. 'It was my first film and I had the most amazing experience on that job — they were just the most gentle, inclusive, supportive people, and it was incredibly fun," she explained. "But I realized, when I was coming home, Ah, there's something I'm not feeling. I feel like I'm not stretching. Or not discovering. And I realized that it was the emotional part of it. I wasn't exercising [that] part of myself.' Ultimately, Comer said she wants to challenge herself more. "If the instincts aren't there, if I'm not excited by it, then I just don't want to go near it because then I'm pulling from an artificial place," she noted. "It feels almost dishonest with myself.'Jodie Comer, 32, Is a Silver Stunner in Metallic Gown on the Red Carpet first appeared on Parade on Jun 18, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 18, 2025, where it first appeared.

Regulars Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney and guest stars Mary Elizabeth Ellis and David Hornsby also appear. FX renewed It's Always Sunny for four seasons in 2020. That guaranteed seasons 15-18.
