Is Ed Sheeran ageing in reverse? Here's how men can look 10 years younger
If Ed Sheeran were to enter an Ed Sheeran lookalike contest anytime soon, you'd be forgiven for wondering if he'd actually win.
It's a sentiment shared by fans of the singer following his appearance at the Time100 gala in New York on Thursday night, where he looked a decade younger than his 34 years.
His followers on TikTok have been making the same observation. Poking fun at the trend for sharing your 'morning routine', Sheeran's latest clip sees him waking up next to his guitar, rubbing oranges on his face and cleaning his teeth with hot sauce. Yet among the obvious jokes, there are some elements of truth – the most obvious of which being that he does have the ageless look of a biohacking bro.
@edsheeran Everyone saying I look like I'm aging in reverse. Here's my morning routine. #saratoga #realblokesdopilates #NewMusic ♬ Azizam - Ed Sheeran
Here, we break down some of the ways men can look younger like Ed.
Pilates
The Shape of You singer has recently shared his devotion to Pilates on Instagram, as well as in the aforementioned TikTok clip, which is hashtagged 'realblokesdopilates' – a nod to the widely held preconception that the practice is for women only. 'Pilates is brilliant for men because it helps lengthen and strengthen muscles, which supports a leaner, more agile physique,' agrees personal trainer Aimee Victoria Long. 'It also improves posture, flexibility and core strength – things that are often neglected in traditional workouts. Plus, the focus on breath and controlled movement makes it a powerful tool for mindfulness and stress relief, which is something we all need more of!'
Facial ice baths
While Sheeran might not be filling his sink with Saratoga bottled mineral water and buckets of ice every morning as he depicts in his TikTok video, he'd definitely feel the anti-ageing benefits if he did. 'Ice face plunging may sound extreme, but it's a powerful tool for skin health and anti-ageing, especially for men in their 30s,' explains Alex Manos, a functional medicine expert at The HVN. 'Cold exposure boosts circulation, reduces inflammation, tightens pores and encourages lymphatic drainage, giving the skin a firmer, more toned appearance. Over time, the plunging can increase circulation delivering more oxygen to your cells, promoting overall skin health and a vibrant complexion, helping slow visible signs of ageing. It's a simple, natural biohack that fits right into a modern man's wellness routine.'
Skincare
It's 2025 – men having a skincare regime is no longer the symbol of metrosexuality that it once was (in fact, according to Clearpay, overall beauty spending by men in the UK has increased by 77 per cent year on year). Yet that doesn't mean all skincare in your 30s is created equal. 'Looking good in your 30s as a man is all about consistency, and skincare is your foundation,' explains aesthetics doctor Dr David Jack. 'This is the decade where early signs of ageing start to show, especially from accumulated sun damage and lifestyle stressors. Daily SPF is non-negotiable. If you're already seeing signs of pigmentation or dullness, incorporating regular resurfacing treatments like my Yellow Peel can help undo sun damage, even out skin tone and stimulate collagen.'
Supplements
There's a blink and you'll miss it shot in Sheeran's TikTok of him stirring a supplement into his drink – a must-do for wellness types these days. But which supplements are recommended for men in their 30s and beyond? 'A high-quality men's multivitamin can help support collagen production, skin repair and hormonal health,' says Xuxa Milrose, an in-house nutritionist at OMNI Wellness. 'Key nutrients like vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, selenium and B-complex vitamins all play crucial roles in keeping skin firm, clear and energised from the inside out. Omega-3s are also a great addition to reduce inflammation and keep the skin barrier strong.'
Cutting down on alcohol
A study published in the Annals of Medicine this week confirmed that we can't party like we used to once we get to the age of 36. It's good news then that the once hard-partying Sheeran has dramatically cut down on his beer consumption since becoming a father in 2020. Speaking to Rolling Stone in 2023, he said: 'It's just a realisation of, 'I'm getting into my 30s,' grow up! You've partied, you've had this experience. Be happy with that and just be done.' Milrose explains that reducing the amount of nights you have on the beers is one of the easiest ways to look younger in your 30s and beyond: 'Cutting back on alcohol is one of the simplest – and most impactful – ways to support a more youthful appearance,' she says. 'Alcohol dehydrates the skin, disrupts sleep and increases oxidative stress, all of which speed up visible signs of ageing.'
Tweakments
While we've no idea if Sheeran has gone down the tweakment route, he'd certainly not be alone, with the British College of Aesthetic Medicine reporting a 70 per cent increase in men receiving aesthetic treatments since 2021. 'More and more men in their 30s are turning to subtle tweakments like Botox to stay looking fresh, not frozen,' says aesthetics doctor Dr Joney De Souza. 'Botox gives a refreshed, more youthful look without making it obvious you've had anything done. Think of it as maintenance, not makeover. Done right, Botox helps you look like you – just the well-rested, slightly glowier version.
'It's not about changing your face, it's about softening those frown lines, preventing deeper wrinkles, and keeping that effortlessly youthful look. It helps slow down the formation of deeper wrinkles, keeping your skin looking smoother and more rested. And in today's world, where confidence and looking sharp matter personally and professionally, Botox is becoming part of the modern man's grooming routine.'
Dr Ahmed El Muntasar, a cosmetic doctor and NHS GP, also recommends collagen -boosting treatments to fight the signs of ageing. 'Male skin is approximately 33 per cent thicker than female skin, which offers some initial resistance to ageing, but collagen loss still occurs steadily, eventually leading to structural changes. Maintaining skin thickness is therefore key. Collagen stimulators such as Ellansé and LaLuma are excellent options as they help rejuvenate the skin and restore lost volume over time. Skin boosters are also highly recommended for improving hydration and enhancing overall skin quality, promoting a fresher, plumper appearance.'

Sue Cleaver reflects on '25 years of laughs' after Coronation Street exit
Eileen Grimshaw had a special send-off during Friday's episode of the soap, where she was seen leaving for Thailand alongside her son Jason Grimshaw, played by Ryan Thomas. Simon Gregson's character Steve McDonald, Tony Maudsley's George Shuttleworth, and Eileen's son Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, all said goodbye to the matriarch before drivers from the local taxi firm honked their horns as she was driven off. In an Instagram post, Cleaver said: 'Well… that's a wrap. 25 years of laughs, tears, costumes, chaos — and one unforgettable journey. A post shared by Sue Cleaver (@officialsuecleaver) 'I'll miss this character like crazy, but what a ride it's been. Thank you for every moment.' Cleaver has played the outspoken and uncomplicated Eileen in the ITV show since 2000. Eileen came to Weatherfield to work at the local taxi firm, Streetcars, to provide for her two tearaway teenage children, Jason and Todd. She soon became friends with her boss Steve and came into conflict with Helen Worth's character Gail Rodwell (also known as Gail Platt). Cleaver took part in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022, where she opened up about reconciling with her birth mother, and was eliminated third. She also said her family is 'bizarrely interconnected' to other Coronation Street stars, including Worth who is godmother to one of her half-sisters, while her other half-sister's husband, John Bowe, appeared on the cobbles as Duggie Ferguson. In 2024, she released a book A Work In Progress in which she discusses how she feels she is not past her prime. In recent years she has appeared as a panellist on ITV chat show Loose Women.

Meghan Markle shares video of her, Prince Harry and their kids at Disneyland
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, continues to share sweet snippets of her family life with husband Prince Harry and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet. In her latest Instagram post, the former Meghan Markle shared a video collage filled with photos of their trip to Disneyland for their daughter's fourth birthday. 'Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!' Meghan captioned her post Friday. The video, set to Peggy Lee's 'It's a Good Day,' shows Lilbet and Archie meeting Elsa and Anna from 'Frozen.' In all the pictures she included of their little ones, their faces are obscured or covered with a heart. The recap of their trip to the Happiest Place on Earth also includes the family on rides like Tiana's Bayou Adventure, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the Cars Land ride and many more. There's also a silly photo of Meghan and Harry screaming while on Space Mountain. The two are sitting front row with their mouths wide open — yet appearing like they're having fun. And the festivities continued for the family of four. Meghan also shows Lilibet's 'Little Mermaid' birthday cake, their Mickey and Minnie stuffed dolls, the corn dogs and pickles they munched on during their trip and several other family photos from the park. Among the cutest is one of all four posing together, in which Lilibet is barefoot and in a pink dress with bows. The latest look into Meghan's personal home life comes after she celebrated her daughter's birthday on June 4. The former 'Suits' star shared a number of photos of her little girl from when she was born to their most recent adventures together. There were also snaps of Harry and his 'favorite adventurer' holding hands. 'Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives — and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!' Meghan wrote in her first post. Additionally, she also posted a never-before-seen video of when she was pregnant with Lilibet and dancing with Harry at the hospital in hopes to induce labor. 'Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work — there was only one thing left to do!' she captioned the fun and rare video of them. Meghan returned to Instagram on Jan. 1 after leaving the platform in early 2018 during her highly publicized engagement to Harry. Among her posts include family photos, outings and news about her podcast, Netflix projects and more.

Woman's simple storage trick keeps avocados fresh for 'three months'
Cutting into an avocado to find it's gone all brown and inedible on the inside is every foodie's worst nightmare - but one woman has shared a simple storage hack Discovering a brown and mushy avocado can be a real downer, especially when you're in the middle of rustling up some food. Avocados, a staple for brunch enthusiasts, are notorious for their fleeting perfect ripeness, often leaving us with no choice but to bin them if we miss that narrow window. But fear not, an ingenious tip from a culinary expert on social media claims to keep your avos fresh for an astonishing 'three months', potentially saving those precious fruits from the bin. Instagram's @lilsipper, also known as Bethany, is the brains behind this life-altering hack. With over 1.3 million followers hanging onto her every word, it's no surprise her avocado-saving method has caught the attention of food lovers everywhere. In her latest Instagram reel, Bethany unveils a three-month-old avocado that still boasts its lush green hue, all thanks to her clever preservation technique, reports the Express. Her secret? "This is a trick I do when I have too many ripe avocados at once." For those who find themselves with a surplus of ripe avocados but aren't ready to eat them, Bethany's solution is simple: chuck them in the freezer, where they can last for 'months'. Bethany further advises: "When you're ready to use, just run them under hot water and sit them on the counter for a few minutes and you're good to go. Enjoy!". Further detailing in the caption, Bethany explained: "The reason I even tried this was because back in 2020 lockdown, I had a bunch of ripe avocados and I didn't want to waste them, nor go to the grocery store multiple times unless absolutely necessary.... and it worked so well! 4 years later it's still a staple hack in my home and it will be in yours too!" In the comments beneath her video, people lavished praise on Bethany for her nifty trick, while others chipped in with their own avocado-preservation tips. Some pointed out the technique is especially useful for whipping up smoothies or ice cream with avocados. One enthusiast gushed: "Never thought about freezing an avocado!" Another chimed in: "I've been doing this for many years." Someone else proclaimed: "Best hack I've ever seen." A further tipster suggested: "Submerge ripe avo in a container with water and leave in the fridge. Lasts weeks." Nevertheless, there were those who mentioned that the avocado hack didn't pan out for them - meaning it might just be one to trial and see if it takes your fancy.
