Metallica's M72 world tour is coming to London in 2026 for two massive shows: dates, ticket prices, presale, seating map and everything you need to know
The huge world tour began in 2023 to support Metallica's eleventh studio album 72 Seasons. M72 stopped by Castle Donington for Download Festival two years ago but hasn't come to the UK since. Until now.
Metallica will play four shows in the UK next year, including two here in the capital. For those, the band will bring its tradition of 'No Repeat Weekends', playing each night with entirely different support acts and setlists. Here's everything you need to know if you want to get your hands on tickets.
When are Metallica playing in London?
The band will be at London Stadium on Friday, July 3 and Sunday, July 5, 2026.

When do Metallica tickets go on sale?
You'll be able to get your hands on two-day tickets from 10am on Friday, May 30, 2025. Find them on Ticketmaster here.
Single day tickets will go on sale on July 25.
Is there a presale?
Why of course. Dedicated Metallica fans could get early access to tickets from 11am on Tuesday, May 27. You just needed to sign up for a presale code here.
There was also an O2 Priority presale beginning at 10am on Wednesday, May 28 and lasting 48 hours, while a Live Nation presale from 10am on Thursday, May 29 will last 24 hours.

In the presale it was revealed that two-day standing tickets started from £190.

Who are the support acts?
For the first London show (on July 3), Metallica will be joined by Gojira and Knocked Loose. The second show (July 5) will be opened by bands Pantera and Avatar.

Metallica are offering two-day 'enhanced experience' packages for their London shows. Starting from £395 and going all the way up to £2,795, they include complimentary drinks, premium spots in the stadium, and, if you're willing to splurge the max amount, a meet and greet with band members. Timberlake shared the news in a post commemorating his Forget Tomorrow tour, which wrapped in Turkey on Wednesday, adding that the disease 'can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically'. I'm so glad I kept going'. Lyme disease is transmitted by Ixodes ticks, also known as deer ticks. It can cause flu-like conditions, neurological problems, joint pain and other symptoms. In the vast majority of cases, Lyme disease is successfully treated with antibiotics. 'I honestly don't know what my future is onstage, but I'll always cherish this run! And all of them before! It's been the stuff of legend for me,' Timberlake wrote. Timberlake cancelled and postponed multiple shows throughout the tour's run, citing health issues including bronchitis and laryngitis. Six of his US shows were postponed from October and November to February, the singer announced on Instagram. Timberlake ultimately cancelled the final show of the American leg of the tour in Ohio due to the flu in February. Justin Timberlake performed at the Isle of Wight festival (David Rutherford/Isle of Wight Festival/PA) Representatives for Timberlake did not immediately respond to The Associated Press's request for comment. Timberlake pleaded guilty to driving while impaired in New York's Hamptons in 2024. As part of his plea deal, the singer gave a public safety announcement in September, urging drivers not to get behind the wheel after drinking. The 10-time Grammy winner ended the post thanking his wife, Jessica Biel, and their two sons, Silas and Phin, saying 'nothing is more powerful than your unconditional love. Elton John and Spin̈al Tap release new version of Stonehenge – and correct stage prop disaster
Elton John and Spin̈al Tap have joined forces on a new version of the band's song Stonehenge – and have finally corrected one of the great scenery-based mishaps in classic rock. The song, performed in the 1984 rock-mockumentary This Is Spin̈al Tap, is at the heart of one of the film's most cherished scenes: when the band, having made a mistake when commissioning an 18ft Stonehenge stage prop, have to make do with an 18in version being lowered from the rafters. After some hired dwarves caper around it, the band's David St Hubbins complains that they looked likely to crush it underfoot. No such problems with the new version made for the long-awaited sequel Spın̈al Tap II: The End Continues, which will be released 12 September in the US and UK (and 25 September in Australia). In the scene, released today along with a recording of the song on streaming services, the band put in a considerably more triumphant performance, complete with full-sized standing stones and the return of the dwarves. Appearing in a cloak from beneath the stage is Elton John, who takes over the lead vocal, singing lyrics such as 'Stonehenge, where a man's a man / and the children dance to the pipes of Pan' with the requisite po-faced grandeur. John is one of a number of starry cameos in the film, along with Paul McCartney, Questlove, Metallica's Lars Ulrich and more. Michael McKean reprises his role as St Hubbins alongside Christopher Guest as Nigel Tufnel and Harry Shearer as Derek Smalls, heading up a supporting cast filled with British comedy stars such as Nina Conti, Chris Addison and Kerry Godliman.
