Hoppers' Teaser Out: Disney Pixar's Film Blends Human And Animal World

News186 days ago
Hopper's teaser follows the journey of 19-year-old Mable, who uses advanced technology to transfer her consciousness into the mind of a robotic beaver.
Whenever Disney Pixar announces an animated flick, it promises to be a delightful treat. So, on Wednesday, July 16, when the company unveiled the teaser of the upcoming toon Hoppers, it was quick to grab the attention. Hoppers, directed and written by Daniel Chong, follows a plot similar to James Cameron's iconic Avatar movie: it connects the animal and human kingdoms through mind-hopping. Hoppers, featuring actress, singer Piper Curda as the leading voice artist, is scheduled to hit the big screens on March 6, 2026.
Hoppers' teaser follows the journey of 19-year-old Mable, who uses advanced technology to transfer her consciousness into the mind of a robotic beaver and inhabit its otherwise lifeless body. The tech-savvy creature is created by a group of scientists known as Hoppers. Mable is on a mission to save the animal habitat that a construction firm wants to destroy.
As Mable adjusts herself inside the machine, she says, 'This is like Avatar", teasing the classic film. To this, one of the scientists replies, 'It's not", hinting at all the surprises Hoppers has in store.
Initially, Mable, in the beaver body, is exhilarated to discover that she can understand and communicate in the animal language. At one point in the teaser, she tries to save another fellow beaver from a bear attack. However, through the act, she learn an important lesson — in nature, everything is about balance. With forest politics at play, Mable befriends some creatures to win against the cunning and evil Mayor Jerry.

Although Hoppers kicks off as a fun experience, it is likely to become a touching story about identity, purpose and the connection between humans and nature.
Social media users showered love on Hoppers' teaser. 'I am so totally going to see this movie in the theatre when it comes," one of them wrote. Another quipped, 'This movie looks like a Dam good time." 'A film about being able to talk to animals? Yes, please," noted one individual.
According to Daniel Chong, the Avatar joke in Hoppers was purposeful. The director, in a conversation with Variety, revealed that the film will be 'a little bit crazy" and 'chaotic" with some 'tongue-in-cheek" moments.
Apart from Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm have also lent their voices in Hoppers.

Park Bo Gum Gets A Sweet Surprise From IU On The Final Shoot Of The Seasons

Last Updated: IU also apologised to Park Bo Gum for not being able to attend his music program. South Korean singer and actress IU just gave her When Life Gives You Tangerines co-star Park Bo Gum a pleasant surprise. She sent a heartfelt message to him during the final shoot of The Seasons: Park Bo Gum' s Cantabile, which he co-hosts. While her message certainly left him emotional, what came after it brought tears to his eyes. The two stars share a close bond ever since they worked on the Netflix K-drama, which took the world by storm. They have always spoken highly of one another and supported the other whenever needed. So, the latest gesture made by IU was not something totally out of the blue. As Park Bo Gum was preparing to wrap up the show, a video message started playing. In it, IU congratulated him on the successful run of the show, saying, 'As much as it's your last shoot of The Seasons, I wanted to congratulate you via this video message." Further, she apologised for not being able to appear on any episodes of the show. The singer added, 'When you had your first broadcast, I said that I would definitely appear on the show. I apologise for not being able to keep my promise to be a guest. I'm really, really sorry. But you know my heart's sincerity and that I watched the broadcast almost every week, right? You were the best as an MC." Bo Gum shook his head softly, assuring her that it was alright. She continued, 'I was able to enjoy singer Park Bo Gum, performer/ musician Park Bo Gum, so it was great. You were really amazing on Cantabile. I'm so sorry about not appearing that…I'm here." Then came the twist. With a bunch of flowers in her hand, she entered onto the stage. She got down on her knees and presented the bouquet to her friend, who was already overwhelmed by her kind gesture. IU patted his back to calm him down. Park Bo Gum Got Emotional Seeing IU On The Stage Bo Gum had tears in his eyes when IU introduced herself as his 'friend." Seeing him all emotional, the audience, in harmony, said, 'Don't cry." IU even shared that she wanted to keep her appearance as cheerful as possible and did not want to make him cry. To this, the actor asked, 'What are you doing (here)?" She then explained that she had been waiting for the right time to surprise him, and she managed to squeeze in some time between her drama shoots. Furthermore, Bo Gum told the audience that he did not want to burden her by asking her to attend the show. So, he was as surprised as anyone in the room. Park Bo Gum and IU played the lead couple in When Life Gives You Tangerines, which premiered earlier this year. Sometimes, the feeling of summer, the breeze, the warmth, the escape can come in the form of a scent. With just a spritz of the right fragrance, even a mundane city street can feel like a sun-drenched paradise. Fragrance Moods That Transport You According to Nitin Jain, Founder, La Pink, the right fragrance mist can transform your daily routine into a dreamy escape. Here are four summer-inspired scent moods to match your vibe, no passport needed: 1. It's your summer secret whispered under the stars. Where it takes you: A hidden beach party under the moonlight. Pair it with: Smokey eyeliner, tousled waves, and a fearless vibe. A Dermatologist's Take: How to Make Scents Last and Stay Skin-Friendly Dermatologist Dr Sirisha Singh reminds us that smelling like summer should also be kind to your skin. Her top tips for a summer fragrance routine: Hydration first: Always moisturize with a lightweight, fragrance-free lotion before applying scent. Well-hydrated skin holds fragrance longer and helps prevent irritation. Opt for summer notes: Coconut, citrus, vanilla, and tropical florals mimic ocean air and exotic vacations. These are great for lifting your mood while being gentle on the skin. Use alcohol-free options if you have sensitive skin, and avoid heavy musks in hot weather, which can mix with sweat and trigger breakouts or body odor. Try natural essential oils like bergamot, neroli, or ylang-ylang for a fresh, mood-boosting alternative. The City Girl's Staycation Whether you're sipping chai on your balcony or dashing between meetings, your scent can be your escape. Layer your fragrances or switch them up based on your mood your 'vacation" can change daily. With the right scent and skin prep, you don't have to leave the city to feel like you've escaped it. Summer is always just a spritz away. view comments First Published: July 23, 2025, 09:01 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
