Melbourne's first Hologram Zoo opening in Ringwood Square
Majestic humpback whales, herds of elephants, tigers and even extinct dinosaurs will be on display at a new zoo in Ringwood.
The only catch? All the animals will be life-size 3D holograms.
Eastern suburbs locals Kerri Pearce and Andrew Campey will open Melbourne's first Hologram Zoo at Ringwood Square on Saturday.
'We are so excited to have people come face-to-face with animals in a way they would never be able to see them,' Dr Pearce said.
The zoo will have 20 different wildlife enclosures with animals from the sea, savanah, rainforests and even extinct dinosaurs.
It will also have a function space for parties and a photo studio.
'We are both vegans and nerds that want to pour our heart and souls in conservation,' Dr Pearce said.
'This zoo is a more sustainable way to connect with nature and a responsible way to experience wildlife without captivity.
'No live animals means zero environmental footprint while still inspiring a love for wildlife and conservation.'
Dr Pearce said the 20 enclosures are just the beginning for the Hologram Zoo, with more animal encounters and experiences to be added to the space in the coming months.
The holograms were created by Bruce Dell's Axiom Holographics, the company behind
Bill Gates' hologram aquarium in the Maldives and a hologram table for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Hologram Zoo is located at 24 Charter St, Ringwood.

Jesinta Franklin house bound for most of first trimester of third pregnancy to Buddy
Don't miss out on the headlines from Confidential. Followed categories will be added to My News. Jesinta Franklin says she was in for a big surprise when she found out baby number three was on the way. The model mum-of-two is now half way through her pregnancy, looking radiant at the Melbourne International Film Festival gala night opening on Thursday night. But she said it hasn't all been smooth sailing with her first trimester finding her house bound for most of the way. Stepping out for her first public appearance since finding out she was pregnant in her role with Armani Beauty — a major sponsor of the film festival which goes from August 7 to 24 — Franklin said she was happy things were now on the up. 'I spent about 10 weeks on the couch and that was pretty hard,' Franklin said on the MIFF red carpet at Melbourne Central. 'I am so grateful and thankful but it's nice to have come out on the other side.' She was later in for a wild ride, with cinemas goers watching the Australian launch of If I Had Legs I Would Kick You starring Aussie actor Rose Byrne as a harried mother dealing with a roller coaster of issues, with visiting US filmmaker and director Mary Bronstein telling the audience to 'strap yourself in'. The wife of former AFL superstar Buddy Franklin gave a frank update on the trials of motherhood in April this year, revealing she was 'easily the most sleep-deprived I've been since the kids were newborns'. 'Kids, sickness, emergency room visits with ear infections, huge workload, early starts, kids not sleeping. Shout out to all the mummas showing up every day, look after yourselves,' she said. The Franklins, who live on the Gold Coast, share daughter Tullulah, four, and son Rocky, three.

Kandi Burruss makes host Steve Harvey blush with raunchy answer on Celebrity Family Feud
Don't miss out on the headlines from TV. Followed categories will be added to My News. Celebrity Family Feud Season 11 is in full swing. Hosted by the Steve Harvey, the long-running ABC game show in the US has been blessed with some incredible stars. So far, audiences have seen the families of Taraji P. Henson and Jennifer Hudson face off against each other. The casts of General Hospital and The Young and the Restless delighted viewers with their friendly (and not-so-friendly at times) rivalry. But this week's episode is for Bravo fans. Former Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and current Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards have brought some of their loved ones along to duke it out as they try to win money for charity. Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Kandi Burruss gave a raunchy answer when asked about bald men on Celebrity Family Feud. MORE: Real Housewives of Sydney's secret stash On Team Kyle, playing for Nami (National Alliance on Mental Illness), are Richards' four daughters: Farrah Aldjufrie, Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky and Portia Umansky. On Team Kandi, playing for Kandi Cares (Burruss' own charity), are Burruss' daughter Riley Burruss; Burruss' stepdaughter Kaela Tucker; Burruss' cousin Kight Dallas; and, Kandi Koated Entertainment GM DonJuan Clark. Anything can happen when these two celebrity teams try to glean what the 'survey said.' The reality TV star couldn't help but crack up after she answered the question. In this exclusive clip from tonight's episode, Burruss and her team are now are in control of the question. Harvey stands by team captain Burruss to playfully pose the question: 'We asked 100 women: name something you do to a bald man's head to get him in the mood.' Burruss, who has never been shy about sharing details of her sex life, winces and grits her teeth as she thinks of an answer. 'Oh, man,' says Burruss. 'Um, I'm gonna say straddle it.' Host Steve Harvey, who is a bald man himself, did not know how to take her answer. Immediately, the crowd begins to hoot and holler. With a big grin, Burruss turns to the audience as they cheer for her raunchy response. Burruss' daughters can only giggle. Harvey, a bald man himself, takes a minute as he lets Burruss' steamy guess settle in. 'You know when you hear something and you don't know what to do?' Harvey asks the audience as he squirms. Harvey collects himself and continues. 'That is such a Kandi answer, though.' Aware of the fact that she only knows how to be herself, Burruss just laughs and nods. Harvey turns to the board and yells 'Straddle it,' as a big red X flashes on the screen, indicating that Burruss' guess was not one of the top 5 responses from the survey.
