Airtel's Nxtra raises renewable energy sourcing deal with Ampin to 200 MW
Airtel
on Monday said it will source additional 125.65 megawatt renewable energy from Ampin Energy under a fresh agreement signed between the two companies.
With this, the total renewable energy partnership between the two companies has crossed over 200 MW (megawatt).

"Nxtra by
Airtel
and AMPIN Energy Transition have strengthened their partnership with a new, power-wheeling agreement involving 125.65 MW of
solar-wind hybrid energy
through
Inter-State Transmission System
(ISTS) connected plants," Nxtra said in a statement.
Earlier, the company had signed two deals for sourcing around 75 MW renewable energy from Ampin.
The additional capacity will be delivered to Nxtra in two phases, each through captive solar-wind power projects in Rajasthan and Karnataka, respectively, the statement said.

"This achievement highlights our leadership in using ISTS-backed clean energy to power our facilities sustainably, boosting reliability and ensuring tangible climate impact," Nxtra by Airtel, CEO, Ashish Arora said.
Ampin has been supplying solar power to Nxtra through intra-state, open access in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha.
With this new agreement, AMPIN will add 11 new states as well as new technologies such as large-scale ISTS renewable energy supply and the seamless supply of renewable energy from a single Independent Power Producer (IPP).
"With this partnership, we demonstrate that through a seamless blend of inter-state and intra-state renewable energy solutions backed by a pan-India presence, we can take any customer through a nearly 100 per cent energy transition.
"Nxtra by Airtel, a leader in the data and fast-growing data centrespace shares our vision for sustainability and we are proud to make data centres green by this association," Pinaki Bhattacharyya, Founder, MD and CEO, AMPIN Energy Transition, said.
Nxtra joined the global RE100 initiative in June 2024, pledging to source 100 per cent of its electricity from renewable sources.

Nayara exports first fuel cargo after EU sanctions, tanker heads to Oman
Russia-backed Indian refiner Nayara Energy has exported its first gasoline cargo since the privately-owned company was sanctioned by the European Union on July 18, according to four shipping sources and LSEG data. The tanker Tempest Dream, carrying about 43,000 metric tons (363,350 barrels) of gasoline, sailed on Monday, according to the sources and LSEG shipping data. The vessel, sanctioned by Britain in June, is headed to Sohar, Oman, shipping data showed, although buyer details could not be verified. Mumbai-based Nayara Energy did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment. A second vessel, the Sard, is currently at the western Indian port of Vadinar used by Nayara, set to lift about 43,000 tons of diesel, according to two sources and LSEG shipping data. Nayara has been forced to reduce crude runs at its 400,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Vadinar due to difficulties in obtaining ships and selling fuel from the port in the wake of the sanctions, Reuters has reported. Nayara, which runs 6,600 fuel stations in India, has approached state fuel retailers for domestic sale of products, industry sources have said. It recently used tanker Leruo to move about 43,000 tons of diesel to Mundra port in western India, data from traders and Kpler shiptracking showed. The Leruo and Sard have been sanctioned by the EU since July and May respectively.

Beware Apple users! Government warns against critical risk: How to stay safe online
The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a high-severity alert regarding multiple security vulnerabilities found across a wide range of Apple products. The flaws, if exploited, could allow attackers to execute arbitrary code, bypass security mechanisms, escalate privileges, or cause denial-of-service (DoS) conditions on affected devices. This warning is part of the recently released vulnerability note CIVN-2025-0163. According to CERT-In, the vulnerabilities impact several Apple operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. Devices running versions older than the latest available releases are particularly at risk. The affected versions include iOS prior to 18.6, iPadOS prior to 17.7.9 and 18.6, macOS Sequoia before 15.6, macOS Sonoma before 14.7.7, macOS Ventura before 13.7.7, watchOS before 11.6, tvOS before 18.6, and visionOS before 2.6. CERT-In's advisory highlights that the risks posed by these vulnerabilities are significant. If exploited successfully, an attacker could gain unauthorised access to sensitive information, manipulate system data, disrupt services, or take complete control of the affected devices. These flaws result from a variety of technical issues, such as type confusion, integer and buffer overflows, race conditions, logic errors, improper input validation, flawed memory management, and incorrect privilege handling. Attackers can potentially exploit these by sending specially crafted requests to the targeted system. The cyber agency has assessed the overall risk as high, particularly for both individual users and organisations that depend on Apple devices for critical functions. The consequences of a successful attack could include data breaches, system downtime, and severe reputational harm. CERT-In has strongly advised users to treat this issue as a priority and take immediate steps to secure their devices. In response, Apple has released patches addressing the identified vulnerabilities. Users are urged to promptly apply these updates to ensure their systems are protected. The relevant security patches are available through Apple's official support channels and cover all impacted platforms. Users can find update details on Apple's website via dedicated links to updates for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. Cadillac will add value as 11th F1 team, says McLaren's Zak Brown
Cadillac's arrival in Formula One next year as an 11th team will bring added financial value with new partners and more fan engagement rather than diluting resources, according to McLaren's American chief executive Zak Brown. The General Motors-backed team have taken staff already from rival outfits, their European headquarters at Silverstone being close to other factories, and are also competing for sponsorship. Brown, whose team are dominating this year's championship after winning the 2024 constructors' title, saw no reason to fear a dilution of resources, however. 'I think on employees they are definitely going to take a lot more than they give, which is fine,' he said at last weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix. 'My general view is if someone wants to go work for a rival team then shame on me. Brown expected Cadillac also to bring more competition eventually, although it faced a tough challenge as newcomers, and more fans to a series that now has three U.S. rounds and a growing audience in America. 'Will we get a better U.S. TV deal, more American presence? I think their sponsors and Cadillac will spend money in the sport, the teams get a percentage of that so I see them as a value add to the sport,' he added. 'I'm not worried about maybe some of the short term-ness of they are going to take an employee here or there or poach a sponsor here or there. I think the contribution will be bigger than that.' Cadillac secured approval of their bid in March, after a 764-day entry process and initial opposition from Formula One and the other 10 teams wary of a potential reduction in the share of revenues. The team are also backed by TWG Global, whose CEO Mark Walter has an estimated net worth of $12.5 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
