Karan Aujla, Honey Singh summoned by Punjab Women's Commission over vulgar lyrics
Chairperson Raj Lali Gill issued a sharp statement, condemning the nature of the lyrics. 'Those who use such language will not be tolerated. These songs will be banned. Singers are the voice of society. On one hand, they speak about loving their mothers, and on the other, they use abusive language about them in their songs. This won't be tolerated,' she told ANI.Though both artists are currently said to be abroad, they have been asked to ensure their attendance. Notably, this isn't Singh's first brush with controversy - in December 2024, the Commission had also taken legal action over his song 'Makhna'.Karan Aujla's new album 'P-Pop Culture' will release on August 22.- EndsTrending Reel

Amaal Mallik opens up about cutting ties with Bhushan Kumar, says he ‘shocked' T-series boss by rejecting offer: ‘People poisoned his mind against me'
Composer Amaal Mallik said that certain individuals have poised T-series head honcho Bhushan Kumar's mind against him, after the two had a falling out over music. He said that he turned down an offer to compose remixes for a T-series project, which 'shocked' Bhushan. He described the music mogul as a father figure of sorts in the industry, and said that he is certain Bhushan understands the true reasons behind his rejection. In an interview with Shardul Pandit, Amaal said, 'It's like a very step father, step son relationship. There is no personal animosity towards T-series. Bhushan Kumar is completely responsible for Amaal Mallik becoming Amaal Mallik. He's like an industry father to me. Salman Khan launched me, but Bhushan Kumar held my hand and took me to the biggest of movies and the biggest of production houses, on pure belief in my talent.' Also read – Amaal Mallik says he earns Rs 25 lakh in one evening, spends Rs 1 lakh in a day and Rs 20,000 on dinner: 'I am a very generous person' Amaal continued, 'He knows that he can count on me. He is the biggest man in music, he is the biggest label in the country. He can literally decide who becomes a star.' Asked what made him take Bhushan Kumar head-on, Amaal said, 'My understanding about how music should be made.' He explained, 'I tell him to his face that I won't do certain things. He may have (an ego about it). If I was that big, maybe even I would've had. I don't blame him. But in the last five or six years, he has understood…' Amaal admitted that it took Bhushan a while to come to this understanding. 'Initially, he was shocked that I was turning down his movies. But I know that no one has delivered 40 hits immediately after starting out; I have. If there is one person who has given more hits with T-series, it's Himesh Reshammiya. But if you tell me to remake Aashiq Banaya or Masakalli, I won't. I don't want to. Why should I? I'm working so hard to build my family's legacy, and I don't want the listeners' brickbats.' He said that when he left Bhushan's hand, Bhushan left his. 'He went ahead with the remixes regardless. My parents were definitely scared. My friends were as well. Even I was in two minds about it… But I know that he has a soft corner for me. When a man is very big, there will be people around him who will poison him. Also, I've never been disrespectful towards him and said, 'Jaa, nahi kar raha yeh picture'. I've always been respectful.'
