Roger Waters Scores A Brand New No. 1 Album
He remains, however, incredibly famous in his home country, and he regularly churns out new albums, usually focusing on live sets and compilations of his most popular tunes.
Waters is back on the charts in the U.K. this week with another live project, which brings him back to the top spot on one list he knows very well.
This Is Not a Drill Launches at No. 1
This Is Not a Drill – Live from Prague launches at No. 1 on the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart, the U.K.-based tally that looks specifically at the top-selling titles in those genres.
Under his own name, Waters has conquered the tally four times, and This Is Not a Drill is his third leader in a row.

Is This the Life We Really Want? spent two frames running the show beginning in mid-2017. His most recent three projects — Us + Them and The Dark Side of the Moon Redux — also quickly shot to the summit as well.
Waters has reached the top 10 on the tally eight times, and half of those projects have hit No. 1.
He has sent nine different titles to the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart throughout his solo career. That sum doesn't include his work with Pink Floyd, as the band has been far more successful on that ranking.
Pink Floyd Outpaces Roger Waters
Pink Floyd has racked up seven No. 1s on the Official Rock and Metal Albums chart — almost twice as many as Waters on his own. The group scored a brand new leader earlier this year with At Pompeii MCMLXXII, a full-length that accompanied the concert film of the same name. That title didn't only rule the rock ranking, but also the general tally of the most consumed albums in the U.K.
This Is Not a Drill Starts Inside the Top 10 on Multiple Rosters
This Is Not a Drill debuts on six different charts in the U.K. this week, and it reaches the top 10 on all but one of them. The live set, which was recorded at a concert in May 2023 in Prague during Waters' farewell tour, kicks off its time at No. 20 on the Official Albums ranking. The set earns loftier starting points on the Official Album Sales and Official Physical Albums lists, where it begins at No. 3, and it also launches at No. 7 on both the Official Album Downloads and Official Vinyl Albums charts.

How day of play brought joy to Bradford children
A BOUNCY castle, face painting, and a day of play brought joy to Bradford children living with special educational needs this month. Creative Learning Academy's Summer Funday made sure the day was suitable for SEND children. It brought families and the wider community together at Bellevue Business Centre. The free activities were designed for an array of interests and abilities. Children enjoyed the bouncy castle, balloon artist, face painting, and more. They were joined by PC Danny and his colleagues from West Yorkshire Police. Children could explore the police car and learn about their experiences in the police force. Zohra Nazir said: 'The amazing success of the Funday would not have been possible without the extraordinary efforts of our staff and the generosity of the community. 'Special recognition goes to Hummera, our dedicated support staff member for her leadership and commitment. 'Our sincere thanks also go to the entire Creative Learning Academy staff team for their collaboration and hard work. The event would also not have been such a success without the dedication of all the amazing volunteers. Bradford's new market to host first 'Great Northern Day' - a celebration of the North
BRADFORD will host the first Great Northern Day – a celebration of all things Northern. Darley Street Market will host the first of what is planned to be an annual event, and will bring together local brands including Seabrook Crisps and Northern Monk brewery. Held in the market's courtyard on Bank Holiday Sunday, the event will bring together food, drink, music and art. Northern Monk brewery, which began in Bradford and recently opened a bar in the market, will join forces with iconic Northern brands including Seabrook, Bundobust, and Great North Pie Co for the event. Running from 11am to 7pm, the event is free to attend. Great Northern Day aims to spotlight the North's contributions to music, food, industry, and design, inviting the whole of the UK to recognise and celebrate the region's cultural impact. The launch event line-up includes: Music from across the North - brass bands, DJs, Bhangra and Northern Soul Exclusive pie collaborations, including Bundobust x Great North Pie Co and Finer Pleasures x MyLahore, and local favourites Taplins butchers, which also has a stall at the market Craft beer from Northern Monk and alcohol-free soda from Hip Pop Northern art market and creative workshops curated by Mek Summat Northern-inspired clothing and merchandise from Northern Power Garms Through the day, there will be music from Punjabi Roots, City of Bradford Brass Band, Back Chat Brass, Jordan Wilson (Northern Soul) and the No Hands DJs. The Flag of the North - a symbol of Northern unity, resilience, and pride - and Great Northern Day, a celebration of everything that makes the North, the North." Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council's executive member for regeneration, planning and transport, said: 'We're delighted that Northern Monk have chosen our new Darley Street Market as host for the inaugural Great Northern Day. "I think we can all agree there's something pretty special about the North, its people, and our culture - we like a party and we've lots to celebrate. 'The main activity will take place in the Courtyard, and our Darley Street Kitchen will be open as usual. 'Our near neighbours on North Parade, will also be holding their street party on the same day, so there's plenty of fun to be had in the city centre.'
