
Malaysia names Saudi Hajj Minister Al-Rabiah 'Hijra Personality of the Year'
KUALA LUMPUR — King Ibrahim bin Iskandar of Malaysia has awarded the prestigious Hijra Personality of the Year medal, also known as the 'Prophet's Hijra Award,' to Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah. This international award was presented in recognition of Saudi Arabia's pioneering role in enhancing the Hajj and Umrah experience.
The honor was bestowed during an official ceremony in Kuala Lumpur celebrating the Hijri New Year 1447 AH, held under the patronage of King Ibrahim bin Iskandar with the theme 'Building a Civil Nation.' The ceremony was held in the presence of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister of Religious Affairs Dr. Mohd Na'im bin Haji Mokhtar.
The annual award recognizes two individuals, one Malaysian and one international, whose contributions have had a significant and positive impact on their communities, particularly in promoting Islamic values and serving the Muslim nation.
Dr. Al-Rabiah was honored for the Kingdom's transformative efforts in modernizing Hajj and Umrah services and enhancing the overall experience for pilgrims worldwide. The award is one of Malaysia's most distinguished national honors and is traditionally conferred in conjunction with the anniversary of the Prophet's Hijra.

'I offer my deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to you and to the families of all the deceased, asking God Almighty to have mercy on the deceased, grant a speedy recovery to all the injured, and return the missing safely,' he said. More than 300 people were killed in northern Pakistan after two days of heavy rains and flash floods. The deluge hit the remote mountainous northern part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, with cloud bursts, flash floods, lightning strikes and landslides in the deadliest downpour of this year's monsoon season.

King issues orders to relieve 3 senior officials of their positions
Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH— Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has issued a royal order relieving Assistant Minister of Defense Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi of his position. In two other decrees, the King also removed two other senior government officials from their positions. They are Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Madi, chairman of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) and Ghassan bin Abdulrahman Al-Shibl, advisor at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.

King Salman issues royal decrees to relieve senior officials of duties
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's King Salman issued royal decrees on Sunday that included relieving several senior officials of their duties, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The orders relieved Mohammed Al-Madi from his position as head of the Military Industries Corporation, Ghassan Al-Shibl from his role as advisor to the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and Talal Al-Otaibi from his post as assistant minister of defense.
