SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A man who allegedly pointed handgun at a store clerk in a robbery on Sunday at Casey's on 500 N. Kiwanis Avenue in Sioux Falls has been arrested, according to court records.
Aaron Christopher McBride, 24, is charged with first degree robbery, aggravated assault and second degree petty theft. McBride pointed the handgun at the clerk, demanded money and said 'don't do anything stupid or I'll blow you away,' the complaint alleges.

The clerk denied the request for money. McBride and a second person fled from the store, according to the complaint. Several bottles of liquor including a bottle of Crown Royal, a bottle of Crown Royal Peach and six bottles of Pink Whitney were stolen from the store.
Later that night, McBride left a vehicle and knocked on a door of a residence where he pointed a gun at the resident's face, the complaint alleges. The resident shut the door and McBride left, the complaint alleges.
Police identified McBride through witnesses and a tattoo, as well as additional confirmation through the police department in Sioux City, Iowa.

The program started nearly two years ago as a partnership between Sioux Falls Police, Southeast Technical College and Sioux Falls Development Foundation. 1 arrested in connection with last week's shooting Lieutenant Rob Forster with Sioux Falls Police talked about the program at this morning's police briefing. 'When they leave this program, they will have some professional experience about how the actual operation of a police department works within the community. They also have the chance to become a police officer with their degree from Southeast Technical College,' said Lt. Rob Forster of the Sioux Falls Police Department.
