How Teddi Mellencamp's Husband Edwin Arroyave Talks to Kids About Her Health

Yahoo04-04-2025

It's been five months since Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum filed for divorce on November 1, 2024. Despite their separation, her husband is supporting her through her treatment for stage 4 melanoma cancer.
'No matter what, I will always love Teddi,' Edwin said on the April 3 episode of The Eds podcast. 'She's been a big part of my life. And I just like taking care of people, it's just what I do.'
'So [taking care of Teddi] wasn't even like a question,' he added. 'It was reflexive. And the main thing is … getting her to a point where she felt confident, she felt like she wasn't alone.'
Since 2022, Teddi has been open about her fight with melanoma. In February 2025, she shared that the cancer had metastasized to her lungs and brain. Surgeons removed the largest of the tumors at that time. But in late March, her doctors discovered four more tumors in her brain.
'I'm fighting for my life,' she said. 'But also for my family's life and all the people I love.'
Teddi and Edwin were married for 13 years and share three young children: Slate, 12; Cruz, 10; and Dove, 5. Edwin also has a daughter from a previous relationship, Isabella.
One of the toughest parts of going through this cancer journey has been reassuring their children. Edwin tries to be age-appropriately honest with them, preferring they get information from him rather than online. But he's also trying not to 'sugarcoat it too much.'
'I said … this is what we think's going to happen,' he told co-host Eddie Judge. 'This is sort of how we're going to deal with it, and this is why I'm confident that she's going to make it through.''
'Kids are resilient,' he added. 'I've been very impressed with them. They've still been doing great in school [and] in sports. I've just tried to keep it consistent with them … [They're] strong.'
Although Teddi has also been open about her health, she's studiously avoided the mantra she's always used with her children: 'Mommies always come back.'
'They all know I'm fighting the hardest I possibly can,' she said. 'But I haven't said, 'Mommies always come back,' because I don't wanna lie to them. And I don't know.'
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.

‘Wheel of Fortune's Vanna White Delights Fans With Photo of ‘Stud' Son Nikko

'Wheel of Fortune's Vanna White Delights Fans With Photo of 'Stud' Son Nikko originally appeared on Parade. Vanna White wished her son, Nikko, whose real name is Nicholas Santo Pietro, a happy 31st birthday by sharing a photo of him looking handsome while seated in a blue suit. In the caption, she wrote, "Happy 31st birthday to my wonderfully kind, hard working and loving son. You will always be my baby boy, no matter how old you are! I love you Nikko!" White doesn't often share photos of her son but she's not nearly as private about her family as Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings, who recently shared a photo of himself and his son at a baseball game. This particular snap had fans in a frenzy as they chattered in the comments about how handsome he is in the photo. "Your son is handsome Mrs Vanna ❤️❤️❤️" one of White's followers wrote. Another joked, "Wow, it must be hard being that homely 🙄😂" Yet another commenter quipped, "What a Stud." White's son has mostly stayed out of the limelight, despite going viral in the past as his Wheel of Fortune co-host mom bragged about his culinary skills. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 Santo Pietro has a Hollywood connection via his career in real estate. He works for The Agency RE, the Beverly Hills real estate brokerage owned by Mauricio Umasky, who has appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and his own Netflix series Buying Beverly Hills, which also featured Santo Pietro as an agent. Santo Pietro is White's oldest child with ex-husband George Santo Pietro. Her other child, daughter Giovanna, is 28. Writers Roundtable: Seth Rogen, Jen Statsky, Craig Mazin, Lauren LeFranc & More

When you gather the creative minds behind six of the most entertaining and acclaimed shows of 2025, the conversation is destined for narrative intrigue. The writers who took part in this year's Envelope Roundtable touched on social media blackouts, release strategies, runaway production, even the wonder of Bravo's 'The Valley.' How's that for a twist? This panelists are Debora Cahn of 'The Diplomat,' about an American foreign service officer thrust into a thorny web of geopolitics; R. Scott Gemmill of 'The Pitt,' which focuses on front-line healthcare workers inside a Pittsburgh hospital during a single 15-hour shift; Lauren LeFranc of 'The Penguin,' a reimagining of the Batman villain Oswald Cobblepot as a rising Gotham City kingpin, Oz Cobb; Craig Mazin of 'The Last Of Us,' an adaptation of the popular video game series about survivors of an apocalyptic pandemic; Seth Rogen of 'The Studio,' a chronicle of the film industry's mercenary challenges as seen through the eyes of a newly appointed studio chief; and Jen Statsky of 'Hacks,' about an aging comic's complicated relationship with her outspoken mentee.
