
Lawyer's restricted influence over media funding
MediaRoom column: Media Minister Paul Goldsmith anticipates blogger and lawyer Philip Crump will recuse himself from journalism funding debates on the board of NZ on Air now he is on a New Zealand Herald advisory board.
Crump, who was part of the attempted board takeover of Herald owner NZME by investor Jim Grenon, but missed out on a director's spot as Grenon was largely held at bay, will now advise the Herald's editors on improving the paper and site's journalism.
