Global Skin Health in Focus as Dubai Derma 2025 Kicks Off with Record-Breaking Participation

The 24th edition of the Dubai World Dermatology and Laser Conference and Exhibition (Dubai Derma 2025) opened today at the Dubai World Trade Centre, drawing over 25,000 professionals from 114 countries for three days of intensive knowledge-sharing and innovation.
Inaugurated by Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, the event features the latest advancements in dermatology, laser treatments, and aesthetic medicine. Al Ketbi, accompanied by senior officials, toured the exhibition, engaging with global leaders and reviewing cutting-edge technologies transforming the field.
Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, Chairman of Dubai Derma, highlighted the event's growing prominence as the region's largest dermatology gathering. 'Dubai Derma is a premier platform that not only showcases pioneering innovations but also brings together thought leaders shaping the future of skin health,'
he stated.
This year's conference hosts 170 scientific sessions and 502 specialised lectures covering emerging trends in therapeutic and cosmetic dermatology. Key topics include the use of artificial intelligence in dermatology, treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas, and tackling region-specific conditions like cutaneous leishmaniasis.
Additionally, 30 scientific posters are being presented, underscoring significant research milestones. The accompanying exhibition features over 1,875 international brands, represented by more than 500 companies, including national pavilions from South Korea, France, China, Turkey, and Italy.
Organised by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions in collaboration with regional dermatology associations, Dubai Derma 2025 stands as a vital global platform for collaboration, investment, and advancement in skin science and aesthetics.

In addition, Sheikh Hamdan confirmed the appointment of Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita as Director General of Dubai Municipality, following his service in an interim capacity. Furthermore, Sheikh Hamdan announced the appointment of Omar Bushahab as Director General of the Dubai Land Department and Chairman of the Board of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment. Sheikh Hamdan also appointed Mohammed Al Shehhi as Acting CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment. Sheikh Hamdan also named Major General Harib Mohammed Al Shamsi as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Affairs, and Major General Ahmed Zaal Al Muhairi as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Administrative Affairs.
