Google Pixel 10 family's prices in Europe leak

GSM Arena11-07-2025
Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 10 family at an event on August 20, and ahead of that today a new leak purportedly brings us Eurozone pricing for the entire family, along with the Pixel Buds 2a.
So, here's the entire price list in a handy table - it looks like the prices will be unchanged from the Pixel 9 devices last year. Google Pixel 10 Google Pixel 10 Pro Google Pixel 10 Pro XL Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold 128GB €899 €1,099 - - 256GB €999 €1,199 €1,299 €1,899 512GB - €1,329 €1,429 €2,029 1TB - €1,589 €1,689 €2,289
The Pixel 10 Pro XL will start at 256GB unlike its predecessor which also had a 128GB option, and 1TB of storage versions will be available for the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro Fold despite the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold not getting such variants.
The new Pixel 10 phones will all be powered by Google's Tensor G5 chipset, the first one built on a TSMC process. Looks-wise they're all expected to remain very similar to their predecessors, but the vanilla Pixel 10 is getting a telephoto camera - and all of the phones' telephotos are also rumored to come with macro shooting abilities.
As for the Pixel Buds 2a, these will allegedly be priced at €149.

Will this year's Pro model be worthy of your dollars? How will Google's upcoming foldable compare with rivals like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or the Oppo Find N5?Luckily, we don't have to sit in darkness for the next two weeks. There are plenty of rumors and leaks – Google is notoriously bad at keeping things will be announced on August 20, 2025. That's a Wednesday. As usual, the new devices will be presented to the public at a special live event with numerous Google officials and experts on phones will be extensively talked about: their cameras, their AI capabilities, their new chips and clever usual, pre-orders will be available on the same day for the biggest Google fans. After a brief period (usually ten days or so), the new phones will hit the shelves both in online stores and in brick and mortar outlets. Carriers will also offer the four new Pixel phones for next to nothing – not counting the obligatory trade-ins and/or new plan isn't confirmed yet, but there are rumors that while the "vanilla"and theare expected from August 28 onwards, the(along with the Pixel Watch 4 and the Pixel Buds 2a) might be released to the public much later:So, if you're after the, theor theXL, you'll probably be getting it at the end of this month. Still, nothing is confirmed at this point, so be sure to come back to PhoneArena on August 20 after the big Google event and we'll update you on the handsets' is a bit late, at least compared to the Pixel 9 lineup. Of course, that's strictly in terms of what the calendar says:As you can see, there's precisely a week of delay. To be honest, that's perfectly fine with me: I prefer having to wait a bit longer for the next-gen device, compared to having a phone every 11 or 10 way I see it, there's only one thing to be said: do not buy a new phone right now. The period I'm asking of you to wait is not even two weeks long. Once August 20 passes, avid PhoneArena readers will have the whole picture and will be able to make an informed decision – Pixel flagships, like other 2025 phones, do not come cheaply.

Samsung's next best-selling Galaxy is almost ready to get in your cart

Samsung Galaxy A17 5G. | Image credit – Samsung Samsung's next budget hero, the Galaxy A17, is just about ready to drop, and honestly, at this point, there is not much left to the imagination. Multiple leaks have spilled pretty much everything already. Just like before, Samsung is going with two versions: a 4G model and a 5G model. And now, we are getting another early peek at both. The Galaxy A17 5G is expected to come in three colors: The Galaxy A17 5G is already live at Samsung's Irish store. | Image credit – Samsung Meanwhile, the 4G version will launch in Black and Light Blue, with rumors hinting at a possible third option joining the mix, too. Galaxy A17 4G leaked in two colors. | Image credit – Evan Blass The Galaxy A17 will carry the torch from a long line of Samsung's best-selling budget phones – the Galaxy A14, Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A16 – which have consistently been the top-selling Galaxy models globally. Samsung Galaxy A16 5G Review: Some improvements, but one red flag remains And it is dropping soon. In fact, it is already live on Samsung Ireland's website, where the Galaxy A17 5G is listed with shipping scheduled for August 18. It has also popped up in other European markets, so an official announcement can drop any day now. And what is the difference between the 4G and 5G versions besides the obvious? First off, price. As always, the 4G version will be more affordable and early leaks suggest no price hike this time. So, you can expect the 5G variant to land at around $200 and the 4G one to come in at about $130. Under the hood, the 5G model is expected to pack the Exynos 1380, which is a bump up from the Exynos 1330 in the A16 5G. It is the same chip found in the Galaxy A35 5G and A54 5G, so expect decent day-to-day performance – not blazing fast, and sure, some stutters here and there, but solid for the price. The 4G variant, on the other hand, should be running the MediaTek Helio G99, a proven chipset in the budget space. Display-wise, don't expect any big changes. We are still looking at a 6.7-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, just like last year's model. On the camera front, things are mostly unchanged – except for one big upgrade: the main snapper is said to now come with OIS (optical image stabilization), which should help with sharper, steadier shots. Expected rear camera setup: 50 MP main (with OIS) 5 MP ultra-wide 2 MP macro Other key features? A 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging, IP54-rated dust and water resistance, and support for expandable storage via microSD card. Software-wise, the both A17 versions should ship with One UI 7 based on Android 15, and Samsung is promising an impressive 6 years of OS updates and security patches – which is kind of a big deal in the budget space. So yeah, if you are hunting for a super affordable Android phone that won't feel outdated in a year, the Galaxy A17 might be worth the short wait. After all, it is already practically live, at least in Europe. We are just waiting for Samsung to push the launch button so you can finally click, add it to your cart and call it yours. And if you are not dead set on Samsung, you might also want to check out the CMF Phone (2) Pro by Nothing. It is a bit pricier (starts at $280), but it stands out with a more unique design and feel. Move to 2nm process node will have TSMC raking in the dough

TSMC is expected to have 60,000 2nm wafers ready each month from four fabs. These facilities will be running at full capacity, and the price of these wafers is expected to rise 50% to $30,000 for each wafer from the $20,000 price TSMC charged for 3nm wafers. Reports indicate that TSMC is seeing strong demand for 2nm production from AI companies as tapeouts for the first two years of 2nm are higher than 3nm and 5nm during those process nodes' first two years. A tapeout is when the chip designer (like Qualcomm, Apple, and Nvidia, for example) sends a file with the final chip design to the foundry. It marks the start of production of a particular chip. We've often pointed out how TSMC's client list contains the who's who of tech giants, including the three aforementioned names we mentioned at the start of this paragraph. Most of these companies are believed to be working with the foundry on 2nm chips. Why is the process node used by a foundry so important? The key thing to remember is that as the process node numbers decline, the size of the transistors used in a chip gets smaller. As the size of transistors shrinks, the transistor count, the number of transistors inside the component, increases. Even more important, the transistor density increases. This metric measures how many millions of transistors are shoehorned into the chip per square millimeter (MTr/mm². The Transistor density number is very important because the higher the figure is, the more powerful and energy efficient the chip is. Certain transistor density numbers also coincide with specific process nodes. Look at these figures: TSMC's 5nm: Approximately 130-170 MTr/mm² TSMC's 3nm: Approximately 190-220 MTr/mm² What this is telling us is thanks to the use of smaller transistors with lower process nodes, 29% to 46% more transistors can be packed into a 3nm chip compared to a 5nm chip manufactured by TSMC. This indicates why a more advanced 3nm chip will typically outperform a 5nm chip while consuming less energy. TSMC will also debut its Gate-All-Around (GAA) transistors with its 2nm process node. With GAA, the gate wraps completely around the channel, reducing current leakage and improving the drive current. Chips made using GAA transistors will show better performance and use less energy. After 2nm, TSMC will start mass production of 1.4nm chips in 2028. However, TSMC's new naming scheme will replace nanometers with angstroms (Å), with 1 nanometer equaling 10 angstroms. The 1.4nm process will therefore be referred to as A14.
