Detectives probe two suspicious vehicle fires in West Lothian

Detectives are appealing for information following two suspicious vehicle fires in West Lothian.
Around 1.10am on Wednesday, 28 May, 2025, a BMW was found alight in Kingfisher Brae, Livingston.
Two men were seen in the area. One wearing a grey, white and black hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and dark trainers.
The other man was wearing a blue hooded top with white stripes down the arms, blue jogging bottoms and black trainers with white sole.
Just after midnight on Sunday 25, May, a white Ford Fiesta Zetec was set alight in Ladeside Avenue, Blackburn.
A man described as being of average height, of medium build, wearing a balaclava, grey Berghaus jacket and matching bottoms was seen in the area.
Detective Inspector John Irvine said: 'Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact us.
'I would also ask anyone with private CCTV of the area at the time to come forward. You may have captured something that can assist our investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0215 of 28 May, 2025. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Van passenger sustains serious injuries in Co Down crash

The 19-year-old male driver of a BMW was arrested following the collision in the Markethill Road area of Tandragee on Saturday afternoon. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the two-vehicle crash which happened at around 1.40pm to come forward. 'The collision, between a white Peugeot van and white BMW 3 Series, left the passenger in the van with serious injuries,' a spokesperson said. 'These are not believed to be life-threatening at this time. "The driver of the BMW, a man aged 19, has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving and using a motor vehicle without insurance. He remains in custody at this time. 'We would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact us on 101, quoting reference 720 of 07/06/25.'
