Glance launches new AI powered shopping app with virtual try-on and personalised suggestions
Glance, a popular consumer-centric AI-based software company, today launched Glance AI, a new app designed to enhance the online shopping experience.
Available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, the company says the Glance AI platform is 'powered by its most advanced proprietary AI models.' The app, which wants to change the way we shop online, moves beyond search and instead offers an 'inspiration-led discovery experience.'
Unlike traditional e-commerce stores that heavily rely on users to search for products, Glance AI lets users discover products curated by AI. To get personalised fashion recommendations, simply take a selfie or upload an existing image, and the app will show products with the user taking the centre stage. When a user likes an outfit, the app will show them how it would look on them using AI models.
The company says each experience is personalised and generated in real-time using a native engine that uses advanced diffusion models to display products from more than 400 brands. Users can also save styles generated by the app and use them as wallpapers.
Glance says that its initial model is trained on fashion, but the same experience will be available across other categories like accessories, beauty and travel sometime later this year.

Apple, at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference 2025, unveiled various upgrades to its operating systems on Monday, including the release of iOS 26 as the tech giant decided to change its naming convention. The tech giant announced the release of its new iOS this fall. Originally, as per the usual sequence name after iOS 18, this year's release would have been called iOS 19. However, since Apple declared that it is changing its naming convention, saying that its future iOS versions will be numbered on the basis of the year, similar to how car manufacturers name new models, this year's release will be called iOS 26. "Our releases for the fall that will power us through the coming year 2026 will be version 26," said Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president. The upcoming latest software versions cross all products of Apple will end with '26' - iOS 26, watchOS 26, macOS 26, visionOS 26, iPadOS 26, tvOS 26. Apple also announced a new "Liquid Glass" design language for its software. This will display apps and toggles with a translucent, glass-like shine. The new design will be implemented in buttons, sliders, media controls and larger elements such as tab bars and sidebars, along with matching redesigned toolbars and navigation system. The tech giant is releasing updated Application Programming Interfaces so that developers can begin adapting their apps ahead of the release of the new design later this year. The company said that it is also making new additions of Apple Intelligence to its operating system, including Live Translation. Image Playground is also getting a new feature boost with the incorporation of OpenAI's ChatGPT. Apple will also let users learn more about what's on their iPhone screens with the help of Visual Intelligence. Users can search about images on their iPhones across Google, Etsy, and other supported apps. If the tool finds out that you are viewing an event, iOS 26 will suggest that you add it to your calendar. Additionally, the tech giant said that it would add generative AI to its Xcode coding tools that can help developers write code, test it and resolve errors.

Google alert: These incoming calls could compromise your phone—ignore them to stay safe and secure
Google says there's a new phone scam by a dangerous hacker group called UNC6040 . These hackers don't hack your phone directly, they trick you into giving access by pretending to be someone trustworthy. This scam started months ago and is still happening, so you have to be careful now, as per reports. It doesn't matter if you have an Android or iPhone, both are at risk. The attack is called vishing, and it's getting worse because people don't take it seriously. UNC6040 calls employees pretending to be IT support, and asks them to install fake Salesforce apps like a fake 'Data Loader', as stated by the report by Forbes Once the fake app is installed, they get into the system and steal sensitive data, then spread into other connected cloud services. They are targeting companies in industries like hospitality, retail, and education in the U.S. and Europe. These attackers are in it for money, and sometimes another group helps make money from stolen data months after the attack, as per Google Threat Intelligence Group . Google found signs that UNC6040 might be linked to a cybercrime group called The Com. The Com is a group of hackers who hang out on Telegram and Discord, sharing tips and bragging about their crimes. They use the same tricks, like pretending to be IT, stealing login info like Okta credentials, and mainly target English-speaking users at global companies. But Google says they're not sure if UNC6040 and The Com are directly working together, they could just be using the same methods. Live Events FBI joins the warning The FBI has also warned about a separate but similar phone scam happening since April 2025. Scammers send texts and AI-generated voice messages, pretending to be important U.S. officials to steal personal data and online accounts. The method includes smishing, vishing, and spear phishing that move the victim to another platform where malware or fake sites are sent. FBI accounts like FBI Cleveland and FBI Nashville, and New York State Police, posted this warning on X and other sites. Google's safety tips to stop attacks 1.
