The show examines the hidden life of murder suspect Rex Heuermann and the unsolved crimes linked to Gilgo Beach.The documentary premieres on Peacock on June 10. It includes interviews with Heuermann's wife, children and close friends. Viewers will see inside his Long Island home for the first time. He worked as an architect in Manhattan and lived a quiet life, making it hard for investigators to link him to the murders.The Gilgo Beach killings happened between 1993 and 2011. The victims were mostly women. Their remains were found in Long Island. The police investigated the case for years without major progress.In July 2023, Rex Heuermann was arrested. By December 2024, he faced charges in the deaths of seven women. These included Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy, Amber Lynn Costello and Maureen Brainard-Barnes. The car, registered in Ludhiana district, was parked in the university's premises when a foul smell drew attention. Locals alerted the police, who arrived at the scene and recovered the Kaur, a resident of Ludhiana, had a following of more than 3.83 lakh on Instagram. She was known for posting frequent reels, some of which had sparked controversy. Her online presence had made her a recognisable figure on social media police findings suggest Kaur may have been killed somewhere else, and her body transported in the car to the university campus before being abandoned. Police officials are working to trace the movements of the vehicle and any individuals Superintendent of Police (Bathinda) Amneet Kondal confirmed that a forensic team has been brought in to examine the scene and the vehicle. 'Prima facie there seems something fishy and FIR under murder charges is being registered,' she said. This triggered an SOS from Meghalaya and MP police, who alerted us.'This alert led the police to track her down at the dhaba and take her into said Sonam had purchased three mobile phones — one basic handset and two Android smartphones — using ID documents of co-accused Anand Kurmi. 'Raj helped arrange the purchase,' the officer entries from the mobile shop matched police records. All phones and SIM cards were reportedly destroyed in Meghalaya in what officials describe as an attempt to erase digital footprints and mislead the are now focusing on verifying whether Sonam intended to elope with someone else, and whether others in the case were also misled about her true plans.
