Popular Stylist Brittany Hampton Keeps It Real on Styling WNBA Star Rickea Jackson (Exclusive)

Popular Stylist Brittany Hampton Keeps It Real on Styling WNBA Star Rickea Jackson (Exclusive) originally appeared on Parade. Brittany Hampton is bringing bold flavor to the fashion and sports world, literally. The stylist and former House of DVF winner has teamed up with snack brand Cheez-It for a playful new collaboration that fuses her eye for design with the snack brand's signature crunch. For the collaboration, she worked with WNBA player Rickea Jackson of the Los Angeles Sparks. Known for styling various athletes and celebrities, Hampton brought her expertise to crafting a custom look that brings a whole new flavor to tunnel fashion and allows fans to wear their love for Cheez-It. In an exclusive interview with Parade, Hampton opens up about how she broke into the sports fashion industry, the inspiration behind the collaboration and why this partnership has been one of her favorites. Hampton was a high school basketball player, so working with athletes has always felt natural for her. Based in Los Angeles, Hampton got her start in styling professional athletes with NBA star Russell Westbrook, whom she styled from 2019 to 2023. She serves as the art director for Westbrook's clothing brand, Honor the Gift, which has led to her working with other celebrities, stylists and brands like Cheez-It. This next project with Cheez-It and Jackson marks a new era in athlete partnerships, while also paying homage to one of their favorite snacks. 'Both [Jackson] and I are avid Cheez-It eaters,' Hampton explained with a smile. 'So, this opportunity was great, but I think for this one, it was very particular and very true to both of our hearts.' Dubbed the 'Cheez-Fit,' this gender-neutral collection includes athleisure staples like a small yellow cross-body bag, a red and orange windbreaker with a checkered Cheez-It pattern on the upper sleeves and a matching pair of pants that feature the scalloped edges, just like the popular cheese-flavored cracker. Plus, the pants include a protective pocket to fit a bag of your favorite cheesy snack. When it comes to dressing today's top athletes, the fashion designer says she finds endless inspiration in the younger generation of athletes. Whether it's basketball phenoms like Paige Bueckers or Azzi Fudd, Hampton calls them her 'little youngins,' and they affectionately call her 'auntie.' 'Getting to work with them is honestly an honor. I love working with younger women because I feel like they really inspire me on a day-to-day basis,' Hampton said. 'They constantly push me through everything that they've been through, and it's so incredible to be a part of that journey.' Tunnel walks have been a huge part of sports culture, especially in leagues like the NFL, NBA and WNBA, where fashion is often as talked about as the game itself. These pre- and post-game looks give athletes a chance to showcase their personal style and connect with fans beyond the court. But for many players, it's also an opportunity to spotlight designers, promote collaborations or make cultural statements, turning the tunnel into an extension of their brand and voice. Out of all the pre-game looks she's styled, Hampton names this Cheez-It collaboration as her favorite to date. 'To create a Cheez-It fit for the tunnel, and this to be an inspiration moment for tunnel walks, I think is really unique,' she said. The Cheez-Fits Hampton created with Jackson aren't just for game day tunnels, they're for anyone who wants to make a bold (and cheesy) statement. Fans can shop the Cheez-It collection on their official website starting this Thursday. Machine Gun Kelly barely has any meals planned in a week Machine Gun Kelly recently shared his super simple diet in an interview. The rapper talked about what his daily meals look like in a video interview, shared by @hiphopnmore on Instagram. During the casual chit chat with the group of hosts, the singer admitted that his daily diet mainly consists of water instead of any lavish meals. 'I don't really eat. I just do water a bunch,' Kelly revealed to the hosts. Shocked by his statement, one of the hosts asked if he meant he 'fasts', which the 35-year-old confirmed with a nod. The rapper then explains that he ate a burger on the show because they are streaming and 'that's my man's s—t.' This prompted the other hosts to ask if they were not streaming, then what would he 'have had for dinner?' The 'Cliché' singer immediately responded to the question, saying he 'probably' would have had 'water.' The answer left the host intrigued. He then questioned the dad of two whether he 'ever feel weak or lightheaded' with this diet. 'Yeah, sometimes. I'll eat, like, a couple times a week,' the actor revealed, adding that his meals mainly consist of 'bone broth with kimchi and sauerkraut' because it has 'good probiotics.' Elaborating further about his meal choices, Kelly said that since water fasts 'kills all the good bacteria,' he cooks 'organic' Kimchi and sauerkraut in 'bone broth' for good gut bacteria to stay 'healthy.' However, the pop icon revealed that apart from 'coffee and cigarettes,' he does make an exception by drinking 'celery juice sometimes,' as well as 'coconut water.'
