Viral Video: Ian McKellen receives grand reception at Glastonbury as crowd chants his name during surprise appearance
Glastonbury Festival continues to serve unforgettable moments in its latest edition, but few could match the thunderous reception that greeted Sir Ian McKellen during an unannounced appearance on stage with the Scissor Sisters. The legendary British actor, best known for his iconic roles in 'The Lord of the Rings', 'X-Men', and numerous Shakespearean productions, stunned fans when he walked onto the stage to perform a dramatic reading of the monologue from the Scissor Sisters' track 'Invisible Light'. Originally voiced by McKellen on the band's 2010 album 'Night Work', the piece has remained a cult favourite for fans of the group. This live rendition, however, took things to another level. As the first words of the monologue rang out across the crowd, audience members erupted with cheers. Many began chanting 'Ian! Ian! Ian!' in unison, visibly moving the 85-year-old actor, who appeared touched and emotional as the tribute echoed through Worthy Farm. Social media quickly lit up with fan reactions, many describing the moment as the highlight of the day. 'Ian McKellen showing up to perform with Scissor Sisters might have been THE highlight of the day (sic),' one fan wrote on X. 'Sir Ian McKellen gets emotional as the #Glastonbury crowd chants his name. I love this man! (sic)' read another post. 'Sir Ian McKellen doing the 'Invisible Light' monologue during Scissor Sisters set at Glastonbury! MAJOR MOMENT, goosebumps all over. One of my all-time favourite tracks from one of my all-time favourite albums (sic)," a user exclaimed. Others captured the emotional resonance of the moment: 'Oh Christ, Ian McKellen rocked up with the Scissor Sisters #Glastonbury,' wrote one fan. Another user wrote 'I spent the entire set screaming for Ian McKellen to come out and then cried when he did.' McKellen, a long-standing supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and an openly gay icon in the arts, has collaborated with the Scissor Sisters before but has rarely performed the monologue live. His appearance at Glastonbury not only delighted the crowd but served as a poignant reminder of the intersection of queer artistry, performance, and legacy. The festival, renowned for its eclectic line-up and cultural significance, has once again proven its power to deliver moments that transcend music. Amid performances from the likes of Neil Young, Rod Stewart, Alanis Morissette, and Brandi Carlile, it was Sir Ian McKellen's theatrical cameo that truly stole the show on Saturday.

"Eggs To Die For": Gordon Ramsay's Perfect Way To Fry Eggs Is A Hit Online
Eggs have always been a staple in breakfast platters. From omelettes and scrambles to unique innovations of eggs, the recipes don't fail to amaze foodies. But do you know the perfect way to fry eggs? In a recent video going viral on Instagram, British celebrity chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay shared how to fry eggs in foaming butter using a few delectable sauces. The chef starts his recipe by cracking two eggs into an oiled frying pan filled with a cube of butter, left for heating. The chef says, 'Eggs to die for. First off, a touch of oil, butter into the pan, get your eggs, crack on a flat surface, open them up and into the pan. Again, into the pan [goes the second].' Then, he adds pepper, a touch of salt, and a little touch of chilli flakes for a nice seasoning, and continues, 'Once you've got that butter foaming, roll the pan around and that foaming butter cooks the egg white beautifully. And when you roll them around like that, it sort of almost floods the centre of that egg with that foaming butter.' The multi-Michelin-starred chef calls it 'quite an art' to fry an egg perfectly. He also mentions, 'I love the ends nice and crispy. I like all the white beautifully cooked,' before adding a touch of sriracha and then Worcestershire sauce onto the eggs. 'And then from there, just turn the gas off, and the remaining heat in this pan will continue cooking those eggs.' Undoubtedly, the fluffy end products left our mouths watery. The video has been viewed close to 5.3 million times. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Gordon Ramsay (@gordongram) Take a look at the reactions to this recipe: Professional recipe developer Megan Keno wrote, 'Knows what I'm making for breakfast.' Popular Middle East chef Leyla Fathallah mentions, 'Butter makes everything better.' 'Eggceptional,' read a comment. A person mentioned, 'Looks tantalising.' Meanwhile, many others pointed towards the amount of oil the chef used in his dish. One user said, 'Gordon: Just a touch of oil. Also Gordon: pours half the bottle and throws in a stick of butter. Me: Is the egg frying or going for a deep sea swim?' Another person asked, 'Hello Gordon, how do you deal with two eggs that are too oily?'
