Belgium Squad for Upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Announced

On Monday, Belgium announced that squad for Belgium's contests in the upcoming round of the 2026 FIFA World Qualifiers.
Belgium's squad for the upcoming international break will include Diego Moreira after FIFA approved a switch of nationality for the 20-year-old.
Moreira was born in Belgium and played at under-15 level for it, but after that chose to compete for Portugal, featuring in March for its under-21 side in a 4-2 loss to England at The Hawthorns.
He requested to switch his allegiance by Belgium's new coach Rudi Garcia.
Kevin De Bruyne will continue as captain despite his departure from Manchester City at the end of the season.

Portugal triumphed in the UEFA Nations League, beating Spain 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regular and extra time. The final was held on Sunday evening at the "Allianz Arena" in Munich, Germany. Spain's first goal came from midfielder Martin Zubimendi in the 21st minute, before Nuno Mendes equalized for Portugal with a brilliant solo effort in the 26th minute. Just before halftime, in the 45th minute, Mikel Oyarzabal scored to give Spain a 2-1 lead. In the 61st minute, Cristiano Ronaldo equalized for Portugal, capitalizing on a defensive mistake from Spain. However, he was injured shortly after and had to leave the field, with the game heading into extra time and then penalties. Man Dies After Falling from 2nd Deck onto Media Area in UEFA NL Final
Rana Atef On Sunday, a fan died after falling from the second deck onto a media area during the UEFA Nations League final between Portugal and Spain. The incident at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany occurred during the first half of extra time, according to the Associated Press, ESPN and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). In a statement on Monday morning, the UEFA confirmed the fan died, according to the outlets. "There was a medical emergency at the Munich arena, and despite the best efforts of the medical team, the person sadly passed away at 00:06 (CET). Rana Atef On Monday, FIFA announced the acts of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final. The performance will take place in the half show of the final game, such as Super Bowl halftime shows.
