EastEnders Vic takeover 'begins' as Elaine's slip-up leaves her job at risk

Daily Mirror10 hours ago

It was a dramatic night in EastEnders tonight as Elaine Peacock's fatal error lead to police visiting the Queen Vic - as rumours spread new owners will be taking over
There were celebrations all around in tonight's EastEnders, with the Mitchell half Christmas and Patrick's surprise party at the Queen Vic. However, in true soap style, things go terribly wrong as Elaine Peacock finds herself in trouble with the police.
It's been a tough time for Elaine as she struggles through her split with husband George Knight - as she often leaves Linda to deal with the Vic alone.

Spoilers for next week reveal that Linda tells Elaine she wants to share her half of the Vic, as it's been suggested in recent months that we'll be seeing new owners behind the bar very soon.

Tonight, it looked like Elaine's reign in The Queen Vic has already started to decline, as a fatal error ended in a visit from police. Still raging at George's presence at the party, Elaine is approached by Joel and Denzel desperate for a drink.
Using their charm, and a white lie from 16-year-old Denzel who told her his dad Howie is fine with it, Elaine gave in, offering them one glass of punch each.
The duo then took two jugs back to Denzel's where they hosted a party while looking after the kids, Bert, Ernie, Raymond and Pearl, but disaster soon struck.
Kat and Alfie's twin sons Bert and Ernie could be seen eyeing up the punch, and things went downhill pretty fast when they realised the one jug had gone missing - meaning the kids had drunk the alcohol. As Joel called for help, a raging Linda asked Elaine how she could serve alcohol to underage teens.
"I let a 16 year old have one cocktail at a family do, how did I know he was going to steal a couple of jugs and feed them to kids?!", she exclaimed.

The kids were taken to hospital for a check over, and although they were fine, the police had been informed, as they entered the Vic in the middle of Elaine and Linda's spat.
"We've been informed that a minor in Walford general was served alcohol from these premises," the coppers said. "We're here to investigate."

The rumours of a new owner in the Vic came after a huge social media slip from the soap last month, in which they posted a TikTok video with a "for sale" sign outside of the Vic.
Ever since, fans have been sharing their theories on who the knew owners will be, with many thinking Kat and Alfie would be making their way back behind the bar.
Will this put her role as landlady at risk? And will this mark the start of the new owners in the Vic?

Is everything okay? Amy Shark sparks concern as she makes shock confession in worrying video

Amy Shark has sparked concern among fans after posting a candid and emotional video to TikTok, revealing a deeply personal family rift. The Australian Idol judge, whose real name is Amy Louise Billings, 39, shocked followers as she opened up about her strained family relationships, saying she doesn't speak to her parents at all – and that the only person she truly cared about has since passed away. 'I don't think anyone on here actually realises just how f**king crazy I could be,' she began in the raw video, staring directly into the camera. 'I don't talk to my parents. Not my mum or my dad. Not even like … like, no one,' she continued. 'The only person that I cared about is dead now. And like, my brother's ... we're fine, but he's six years younger than me. So he's not telling me what to do.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Amy then appeared to spiral further as she confessed: 'I could be going f**king crazy, crazy. Like I could do anything. I'm not gonna disappoint anyone.' Reflecting on her upbringing, she added: 'My parents had me when they were like 19 and 20. I found videos - I know what the f**k they were doing.' She concluded the emotional clip with a plea for recognition: 'I just think I need a little more respect from people to be like, wow, Amy turned out pretty good.' The post quickly amassed thousands of views and an outpouring of support, with fans flooding the comments to express concern and solidarity. 'Are you okay Amy?' wrote multiple users, while one added, 'I haven't spoken to my narcissistic psycho parents for over 10 yrs now. Life is so peaceful since I finally deleted them.' Another fan reassured her: 'You are an awesome, talented, most incredible person. Just keep being you.' One comment read, 'I hear you girl! More credit for breaking generational traumas! You are amazing,' while another person shared, 'Only the strong get given the job of breaking generational curses. You got this, well done mate.' The video struck a chord with others who've experienced similar family estrangement, with one viewer admitting, 'I had no choice but to remove some family members. Safest thing for my mental health.' But not all comments were supportive, with some questioning the motive behind the confession. 'Why don't you talk to your parents?' one asked, while another said, 'Am I witnessing an Amy Shark crash out? Because same girl.' Despite the mixed reactions, the overwhelming tone was one of empathy and encouragement. 'You're crazy OMG,' one user joked, while another wrote: 'Love seeing you just being yourself. You are awesome.' Daily Mail Australia has contacted Amy Shark's representatives for comment. It comes after the Queensland-born star sold her Tweed Coast home for $2.35million earlier this year, after confirming her relocation to Sydney. In 2024, she also put her waterfront mansion in Queensland under the hammer. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom pad is located in the pricey suburb of Broadbeach Waters, near the Gold Coast and sold for $3.65million in 2024. Amy bought the chic spread in 2018 for $2.25million with her husband Shane Billings. Her sell-off on the Gold Coast came four years after she first talked about moving to Sydney to be close to her music label Sony's HQ in Sydney. 'The Gold Coast will always be home for me,' the Australian Idol judge told The Courier Mail in 2024. 'But I'm looking forward to spending more time in Sydney and basing myself there for the foreseeable future.'

Lauren Goodger 'back with Charles' as they enjoy double date with TOWIE cast

Reality TV star Lauren Goodger has all but confirmed her rekindled relationship with ex Charles Drury after the pair were seen enjoying a double date with her Towie co-stars Junaid Ahmed and Joe Blackman Lauren Goodger appears to have confirmed a reunion with Charles Drury after months of speculation, as the pair enjoyed a double date with her Towie co-stars. The 38-year-old reality star and Charles, 26, share their three-year-old daughter Larose and separated in 2022 following the heartbreaking loss of their baby daughter, Lorena. Rumours about their reconciliation have been swirling for a while, but Lauren's recent repost of Junaid Ahmed's Instagram story -captioned 'Double dating @joeblackman_98 @laurengoodger @ - strongly suggests they're back together. ‌ The group spent the evening at Cinnamon, an Indian restaurant in Epping, marking Lauren's first public appearance with Charles in a long time. Their reunion first sparked buzz after a joint TikTok live session with Junaid and Joe, Lauren's first live video on the platform in over a year. ‌ Reflecting on their co-parenting journey last year, Lauren told MailOnline: 'It has not been easy, but we're at a place at the minute where it is running smoothly. Charles sees Larose very regularly. It's a lot of travelling for me because he lives 3.5 hours away, and I meet him in the middle. It's not ideal but it is what it is.' The couple endured a devastating tragedy in 2022 when their newborn Lorena died during childbirth. Lauren had been thrilled to welcome their second child just months after Larose, describing Lorena as the 'most beautiful healthy baby she'd ever seen' before her life was cut short by complications. Reflecting on the tragic loss of her daughter, Lauren told Mirror that, sadly, it is a pain that never leaves - but is one you gradually learn to live with. 'Nothing can make it better and I don't think anything can change the loss, the pain never leaves you,' says Lauren, whose daughter Lorena was born with the umbilical cord knotted and around her neck and passed shortly after labour, despite a 'textbook' pregnancy. ‌ 'Lorena was a beautiful baby, there was no complications with me or her and it never should have happened. She should be with us now,' says Lauren. Though she admits you never stop grieving, the TOWIE star says it's important to remember not to blame yourself, something she found herself doing, after losing Lorena. 'You go back and think, 'Should I have been in hospital rather than a home birth? Should I have done this, or done that? But I had a home birth the year before and it was absolutely fine, so there was nothing that could have been done. I think when anyone loses anyone, we think about what we should have done. As a parent, you just keep going over it. "You think, 'Why me? What have I done wrong?' But in time you heal, and that's the positive part. You never get over it but you do learn to live with it.' ‌ Admitting that the loss not only impacts parents as singulars, but it can also 'break' a relationship, Lauren says: 'Losing a child can give a massive strain on the relationship - it can make or break you. It can break families but I really do hope that they stick together and get through it because they're going to need each other. "That's one bit of advice I'd give to anyone, stick together and you'll get through it together,' continued Lauren. Lorena wasn't Lauren's first child - with the star already sharing Larose, who turns four next month, with Charles. Lauren said being a mum that got her through the grief of losing a child, admitting that she threw all of her focus into Larose.
