Suns-Raptors live updates: Phoenix must play with desperation for play-in spot
The Phoenix Suns (31-37) enter Monday night's game against the Toronto Raptors (24-44) at PHX Arena needing to play with a sense of desperation.
"We are confident with each other against whoever we play, but at the same time, our actions have got to show that we're desperate, that our season is on the line each and every night," Suns point guard Tyus Jones.
Arizona's Family (3TV) is televising the 7 p.m. game locally.
The game is the second of a back-to-back for both teams. Phoenix is coming off a 107-96 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers while Toronto fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 105-102.
The game marks the start of a five-game homestand for the Suns and is the third of a four-game Western Conference road swing for the Raptors. Toronto defeated Phoenix, 127-109, Feb. 23 at home.
Phoenix is 11th in the Western Conference, 1.5 games behind the Dallas Mavericks for the 10th and final play-in spot in the Western Conference. The Mavs play Wednesday at Indiana.
Toronto is 11th in the East, 4.5 games behind the Chicago Bulls for the 10th spot.
