Sunday will be partly to mostly cloudy, humid, with heavy showers and thunderstorms. HIGH: 83
Sunday evening will be mostly cloudy with some showers and thunderstorms. LOW: 68

Notes from the First Alert Weather team:
Sunday morning is muggy, with temperatures largely in the 70s and some 60s well inland.
It is a mostly dry start to Mother's Day, and there will be several dry hours on Sunday, especially in the morning.
Through the afternoon and evening, rain and thunderstorms are anticipated to expand in coverage and intensity across essentially the entire viewing area.
Like Saturday, a few strong storms are possible. Localized flooding will be possible, too.
Rain and storms will remain possible through Sunday night and into Monday.
We quickly dry out by Wednesday, with near-record heat later in the week.

First Alert Weather: A few late afternoon storms, shifting inland later this week
The Action News Jax First Alert Weather Team is tracking a few showers and storms that will continue to develop this afternoon from the St. Johns River to the coast. Notes from the meteorologist: Heavy downpours, lightning and a few gusty winds will be embedded in the storms as they move generally east. A few lingering showers/storms are possible this evening through 9-10 pm inland. Wednesday morning commute will be mild and muggy. Scattered showers and storms will shift more inland tomorrow afternoon as the Atlantic sea breeze is able to move farther west. Flooding the main threat as showers, isolated storms move across North Texas in coming days
Good Tuesday morning! The First Alert Weather Team has been tracking a complex of storms to the west on Tuesday morning as they move into the area. The northern edge of the complex is breaking up as it heads east into Palo Pinto and Parker counties. Some of this activity may hold together as it nears Tarrant County. The southern edge of the line is more robust and is capable of small hail, gusty winds and heavy rainfall. The highest rain chances today are southwest of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and south of I-20. A few afternoon storms in DFW can't be ruled out as we are on the northern fringe of the activity. Temperatures on Tuesday will be cooler south of I-20 due to the rain and clouds, and warmer along the Red River where it remains drier. First Alert Weather days have been issued for Wednesday and Thursday as waves of heavy rain will move through the area. A slow-moving area of low pressure will track across North Texas tomorrow through Friday. Flooding is the main concern, but an isolated severe storm with hail and damaging winds can't be ruled out. Please remember "Turn Around, Don't Drown." Do not try and drive through water-covered roadways, as it is very hard to estimate how deep the water is, and you could put yourself in a life-threatening situation. The low-pressure system shifts east of the area this weekend, allowing for more sunshine, drier conditions and warmer temperatures.

First Alert Weather: Daily afternoon storms through this week
The Action News Jax First Alert Weather Team is tracking a warm and muggy evening, with early chances for showers. Notes from the meteorologist: A few showers and storms are possible through the 5-6 pm timeframe in NE Florida mainly north of I-10. Showers and storms in SE Georgia could bring gusty winds through 6 pm. Warm and muggy this evening with temperatures in the 80s. We drop down to the lower to mid 70s tomorrow morning. Showers and storms will redevelop by midday to the west of Jacksonville and spread east through 2-4 pm Tuesday. Storms that do form will be capable of brief torrential rain, strong gusty winds, and frequent lightning. Wednesday and Thursday look to feature the most storms across our area with an active sea breeze. TROPICS: No areas of concern.
