Riize packs two years into documentary

Riize will chronicle its two-year career with a documentary of its growth, label SM Entertainment announced Friday.
From its first fan meetup 'Hello, Briize' that marked the 100th day of its debut to opening and closing shows of its first fan concert tour 'Riizing Day,' live performances along with commentary from the bandmates will be packed into '1st Stage to Riize' which will be available in Blu-ray and digital formats.
In the meantime, the band of six held a stand-alone concert in Seoul last week, drawing more than 30,000 fans over three days. It marked the beginning of its tour 'Riizing Loud' that will resume in Kobe, Japan, on Saturday. It is slated to visit four more cities in the country and six in Southeast Asia until Feb. 7, 2026.

A poster for aespa's upcoming world tour, including stops across Asia, was uploaded on Wednesday via label SM Entertainment. The four members will open the tour in Seoul on Aug. 29 and is set to head to Japan in October. They will have two shows each in Fukuoka, Tokyo and Nagoya before returning to Tokyo the following month. The Japan leg will be followed by live shows in Bangkok and Osaka, Japan. Next year, they are expected in Hong Kong, Macao and Jakarta. The quartet took to the stage at KCON LA 2025 last week and on Sept. 5 will bring out its sixth EP 'Rich Man.' The set will have six tracks including the lead single of the same title. It comes about three months since single 'Dirty Work' which became its sixth consecutive million-seller.

Solo album from SHINee's Key to feature English single, Seulgi collab

The upcoming album from Key of SHINee will include an English-language single as well as a track featuring Seulgi of Red Velvet, label SM Entertainment announced Friday. "Hunter," Key's third solo album, comprises 10 tracks and is set to roll out Aug. 11. One of the B-side tracks, 'Strange,' will be in English and asks introspective questions over rough synth sounds. For 'Perfect Error,' he teamed up with Seulgi to encourage listeners to believe in themselves and keep on going. The latest solo endeavor comes about a year after his third EP, 'Pleasure Shop,' which topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 21 regions. The EP is themed after urban legend and looking into one's own mind. In the fall, Key will host the solo concert '2025 Keyland: Uncanny Valley' in Seoul on Sept. 26-28.

Red Velvet's Joy to return as soloist

Joy of Red Velvet is poised to make a comeback as a solo singer after about four years away from K-pop, SM Entertainment announced Monday. She will be bringing out the EP 'From Joy, with Love' on Aug. 18. The mini album will have six tracks, including focus track 'Love Splash!' Her first solo endeavor was 'Hello' from May 2021, a special album that consisted of her retakes on six well-known songs. The album topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 26 regions as well as a number of music charts at home. Joy was the second member of the group to roll out a solo set, after Wendy, who announced last week that she will drop a solo album in September.
