EGC's Team Zi Hao triumphs in Dubai Golf Pro-Am Grand Final at Emirates Golf Club
A four-player team captained by professional Zi Hao (EGC), alongside amateurs Bayer Khan (12), Raj Janardhan (20), and Maria Dunkel (26), scored 97 Stableford points to win the Dubai Golf Pro-Am Grand Final at Emirates Golf Club's Majlis Course on Sunday.
The Grand Final marked the culmination of the DG Lincoln Pro-Am Series, which took place across six golf courses during the season: Dubai Creek Resort, Emirates Golf Club (both the Faldo and Majlis Courses), Jumeirah Golf Estates (both Earth and Fire), and Yas Links Abu Dhabi.
The top three pros and teams from each qualifier secured spots in the final.
In a closely contested Team Division, it ultimately came down to a two-horse race between Team Hao and Team Brendan Els. Team Hao emerged victorious by just one point, with Team Freddie Price (Pro, Dubai Creek Resort) securing third place with 85 points.
Ian Brennan from Emirates Golf Club emceed the prize presentation and extended special thanks to the sponsors for their continued support of this popular event on both the domestic Dubai Golf and VIYA Golf members' calendars.
The Individual Pro title was claimed by Brendan Els (Jumeirah Golf Estates), who posted an impressive four-under 68.
The tournament served as a qualifier for the Emirates PGA Order of Merit.

Schoombie Takes Gross Medal In the Gross Medal Division, Mark Schoombie fired an impressive three-under 69 to take the title, just ahead of Tom Neale, whose 70 was edged out on countback. Division A (handicap index 10.4 and below) saw Tom Morgans take the top spot with a net 68, finishing just ahead of Adam James (69) and Priyan De Mel (71). Joshua Burton delivered a standout round of net 67 in Division B (handicap index 10.5 and above), narrowly missing the overall title to Valentine on countback. Andrew Turnbull followed with a net 69, and Richard Bernans placed third with a net 73. In the Ladies Division, 2026 Lady Captain Michelle Walsh-Hall came out on top with a three-under net 69, securing victory on a back-nine countback. The Junior Division highlighted emerging talent as Abdulla Darwish posted a level-par net 72 to take the win. Moments later, his father, Mohammed Darwish, delivered a net 69 to capture the senior's title - making it a day to remember for the Darwish family. Harrison tops Stableford Division In the Stableford Division, James Harrison led with 41 points. Though a mid-round ruling removed him from medal contention, he showed great composure to claim the Stableford prize. Willemijn Roeterdink followed with 39 points, taking second on countback. From Speed to Swing: Trailblazing golfer-racer Bao drives Legends Tour back home
For Nguyễn Gia Bảo, golf has always been more than a game. It's a way to stay rooted in her heritage, dream beyond borders, and inspire change - especially for the next generation of players. This November, all those threads will come together in one powerful moment as Vietnam prepares to host one of the most prestigious senior golf events in the world: the Legends Championship Vietnam 2025. The European Senior Tour event for professionals aged 50 and over returns to Vietnam from 28–30 November, two years after its inaugural staging in Southeast Asia. Bao played a key role in helping bring the tournament back to her home country, working closely with the Legends Tour team from her base in Dubai to support its return. While Bao originally came to support the event in 2023, she unexpectedly found herself on the course, playing alongside the very legends she once admired from afar. 'I was just there to meet the legends,' she recalls. 'Then suddenly, I was offered a slot by the President of the Legends Tour himself... Honestly, I was afraid — my handicap was higher, and I felt pressure representing Vietnam on a live global stage. But their belief in me gave me the courage to say yes.' That moment, playing alongside major champions and Ryder Cup icons, was a turning point. But for Bao, who has spent over 17 years in the game, it was also a continuation of a lifelong journey. A Dubai-based entrepreneur and passionate sportswoman, Bao plays her golf at the Emirates Golf Club, where she continues to compete in regional amateur events. She is also the founder of The Golf House Vietnam, an academy focused on developing grassroots golf in her home country, which she plans to open in Dubai in the future. Bao the Trailblazer Beyond golf, Bao is a trailblazer. She became Vietnam's first female professional race car driver, representing the country at the FIA Motorsport Games in France in 2022 - a remarkable pivot from her early fear of speed to competing internationally in a male-dominated sport. Her journey began as a personal challenge, evolving into professional training across Europe and the U.S., and eventually reaching the global stage. 'If you want to be a warrior, then be a warrior,' she says. 'You just need the will inside you. Golf can teach you that kind of strength.'
