Elsa Pataky reveals secret to her 15-year marriage with Chris Hemsworth - as she admits there have been 'rough patches'
It was love at first sight for the Spanish actress, 48, and her superstar husband, 41, when they were introduced in early 2010.
By the end of that same year, they had tied the knot and the couple are still going strong 15 years later, living a 'constant holiday' at their sprawling mansion in Byron Bay, Australia.
And now, the glamorous Elsa has revealed the secret behind her happy marriage to the Thor actor.
Speaking in HELLO! Magazine, the 48-year-old said: 'Marriage needs constant work, and you learn a lot from the rough patches.
'You have to try and keep growing together, making sure that your paths carry on crossing.
'It's about finding the fun, enjoying the little moments and remaining curious about each other. You have to be ready to adapt, and because there are situations that separate you, you need to know how to find each other again.'
Elsa and Chris moved back to the male A-lister's home country of Australia around 2015 after living in Los Angeles, which they said was 'too suffocating'.
The couple bought their east coast mansion down under a year earlier for $7million, eventually completing a $50million construction on the site in 2021.
The property features six bedrooms, a spa, games and media rooms as well as sprawling outdoor living areas.
'When you're in Los Angeles, work suffocates you,' Elsa previously told News Corp.
'There, all the conversations, even the billboards you see on the street, have to do with the world of cinema and its industry.
'It can make you lose perspective'.
It was a sentiment that Chris shared in an interview with Modern Luxury back in 2020.
'I love what I do as an actor, but when you are surrounded by it constantly, it becomes a bit suffocating' he said.
'It's nice to have conversations with people and be a part of a community that doesn't live and breathe that world.'
The 'down-to-earth' couple have three children together - twins Tristan and Sasha, both 11, and 13-year-old India.
They spend much of their time playing sports, with Chris taking his two sons surfing and Elsa teaching India how to ride horses.
Prior to their move to down under, Elsa actually told Chris that she would only agree to relocate if they lived on a farm where she could ride horses.
'That was my deal,' she said - and Elsa got her wish.
On Tuesday, in fact, the actress stunned fans by sharing footage of her almost falling from a horse while riding through the New South Wales bushland with her daughter.
The social media post showed the pair losing control of their horses, leaving Elsa on the brink of falling into shallow waters.
The mum and daughter saw the funny side of the mishap, nevertheless, and were heard laughing at the end of the video.
Despite such fun, however, Elsa admitted that bringing up her children can be 'exhausting'.
'You can feel exhausted physically, but when they get older, it's more psychological,' she said.
Elsa added that she has tried meditating in order to improve her patience since having children.

The superstar singer, 29, looked stunning in a lace sheer top, as she talked about "deeply falling" for fiance Callum Turner 6 6 6 6 Dua looked every inch a sex siren as she posed for Harper's Bazaar U.S. for its Global Icons issue. Wearing a string of racy outfits for the shoot, the singer showed off her enviable figure. One of the photos saw her wearing a sheer top that left little to the imagination. The accompanying interview with the magazine saw her open up about fiance Callum, who she got engaged to last year, after a whirlwind romance. Discussing their relationship, Dua said: "I love love. It is a beautiful thing. "It's a really inspiring thing. You find yourself so intensely falling all the time in the best way possible. That vulnerability is so scary, but I feel so lucky to get to feel it. "I've spent a lot of time being guarded or protecting my heart, and so I'm letting go of that feeling and just being like, 'Okay, if I'm supposed to get hurt, then this is what's going to happen.' I have to just allow love." The singer added: "I'm happier than ever, so it feels like I'm doing a disservice by not talking about it.' "When you're a public person, anything that's very personal is very vulnerable. It's not like I don't want to share it." The Sun were first to reveal Callum had popped the question last Christmas, after less than a year of dating. Dua confirmed our story last month and told British Vogue: 'Yeah we're engaged. It's very exciting. "This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever — it's a really special feeling.' Speaking about how wedding plans were going. she said: "I want to finish my tour, Callum's shooting, so we're just enjoying this period. "I've never been someone who's really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I'm like, 'Oh, what would I wear?'" 6 On the topic of kids, Dua said: "But it's like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time. "How it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I'd have to take. "I think it's just one of those things that's going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there's so much more to raising a child than just loving children." You can read Dua's full interview in Harper's Bazaar October issue out September 4 6

Mark Petchey reveals truth behind Emma Raducanu & Carlos Alcaraz romance rumours
Mark Petchey has shot down rumours of tennis superstars Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz being in a secret romantic relationship. Some media outlets have speculated that Raducanu and Alcaraz have been dating behind the scenes – but Petchey insists this is not the case. Alcaraz and Raducanu are playing together in the US Open mixed doubles this year, which has further fuelled talk that the the two players might secretly be boyfriend and girlfriend off the court. The rumours have been around for a while – with Alcaraz quizzed aboutthe 'jokes on social media' in a Wimbledon press conference last year. In June this year, Raducanu laughed off the speculation, with the British No.1 insisting that she was 'just friends' with the Spanish star. Raducanu's former coach Petchey has now weighed in on the rumours about the two 22-year-olds in an interview with OLBG. 'They are just good friends,' Petchey said about Alcaraz and Raducanu. 'She's good friends with a lot of people out there on the tour. 'The media is going to be the media. Obviously, I know there's suggestions that they are going out. 'That's not the case. They're just good friends. The reality is they're only there [at the US Open] to play tennis.' The US Open's revamped mixed doubles tournament got underway today (Tuesday, August 19), featuring a blockbuster lineup of star-studded teams. The two-day knockout competition has been controversial and has led to criticism from some players and pundits. Defending US Open mixed doubles champions Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori blasted the changes as a 'profound injustice' and a 'pseudo-exhibition' that disrespects doubles specialists. Tennis icon Martina Navratilova added that it 'makes a mockery of the title' by excluding doubles experts. More Trending Petchey, though, has defended the US Open mixed doubles and said: 'It's exciting for us as fans and I think it's actually very exciting for the players that are involved in it as well. 'Emma and Carlos are excited to play and all the players that I spoke to at Montreal and Cincinnati are all excited to play. They're all thrilled with the opportunity. 'I'm a big fan of the event, I'm a big fan of what they've tried to create, and there may be a bit of tweaking here and there as we go forward. 'The thing about tennis is if you don't try it, you'll never know, and you can go back if it doesn't work. But I think it's going to be a massive success.'
