
CM, ministers, governor express solidarity with K-P flood victims
In conversations with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Murad Ali Shah conveyed the Sindh government's solidarity with the affected areas during this difficult time. He assured that Sindh was ready to extend all possible assistance to fellow citizens, adding that medical facilities in Karachi had been made available for those injured in the floods.
The chief minister also expressed deep grief over the helicopter crash near Changi Banda, in which five personnel lost their lives while on a public service mission.
Extending his sympathies over the loss of life and property caused by recent cloudbursts and flash floods in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, Murad Ali Shah stressed the need for a unified national strategy to tackle natural disasters and mitigate their impact. He prayed for patience, strength, and fortitude for the bereaved families.
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon said that during this difficult time, the Pakistan Peoples Party stands with the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and is always ready to provide unconditional support.
Sharjeel further stated that the Sindh government is always ready to help its brothers in K-P and will provide all possible assistance if needed.
Meanwhile, Governor Kamran Khan Tessori expressed profound grief over the recent flood devastation and casualties in Buner district, K-P. In a condolence message, he extended heartfelt sympathies to the families of the deceased, stating that the people of Sindh shared the sorrow of the affected communities.
The governor also spoke with the prime minister of Azad Kashmir, discussing the recent heavy rains and flooding in the region, and assured that Sindh's people stood firmly with their Kashmiri brothers and would continue to extend all possible support and relief efforts.

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, arrives in the UK for his official visit from 17-19 August to meet Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Pakistan, Hamish Falconer, Lord Wajid Khan, and Commonwealth Secretary-General, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey. 'Focus of the visit is on strengthening Pakistan-UK ties, boosting cooperation in digital technology, artificial intelligence & entrepreneurship, and enhanced cooperation with the Commonwealth,' Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson said on Saturday. DPM Ishaq Dar to undertake official visit to UK from tomorrow
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar is scheduled to undertake an official visit to the United Kingdom on Sunday (tomorrow). During his visit, FM Dar will hold meetings in London with his British counterpart Angela Rayner, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Pakistan Hamish Falconer and Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, the Foreign Office said. The death toll from heavy rains and flooding in Pakistan has crossed 300, local officials were quoted as saying by Reuters on Saturday. Hundreds have been killed in recent weeks as Pakistan experienced more rain than usual during the current monsoon season, washing away roads and buildings.
