Interestingly, Gauff's French Open win marked a historic moment as she became the first American woman to win the title since Serena Williams in 2015.
Behind her monumental success, she received a whopping reward. According to CBS Sports, the tennis champion took home 'roughly $2.89 million." On top of it is the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen, a new addition to her growing trophy collection.

In a lighthearted TikTok post, the newly crowned Roland Garros champion revealed that the huge trophy fans saw her holding on the court isn't actually the one she got to keep.

According to Gauff, the original trophy 'stays with the tournament,' and winners instead receive a smaller replica to take home.
'It's like a mini replica of the trophy,' she said, holding it up. 'It's really small. But you know, it's the memories that matter the most.'
At the end of the video, she posted a side-by-side photo of herself during the championship holding the original trophy versus the one she has now, highlighting the stark size difference between the two.
The post quickly garnered the attention of her fans, noting that it's not the size that matters.
'As long as the check is big. Congrats' a commenter said.

'Wow, the real trophy is massive compared to the one you get to take home! But hey, memories last forever!' a fan noted.
One TikTok user chimed in and said, 'The $2.9 Million take-home prize is pretty good as well. Congratulations. Great.'
The same goes for another fan who commented, 'But at least you get your million!!! Dang, that was such a great match!!!! So happy for you!! Keep it rolling!!!'
While Gauff walks away with nearly $2.9 million in prize money, fellow players like Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner aren't going home empty-handed. As runners-up, they each received a staggering $1.5 million.

'This isn't YouTube' - talks continue for Joshua v Paul
Anthony Joshua could receive a career-high pay day to fight Jake Paul as their teams continue to hold talks over a bout in 2026. Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, says it is likely the fight could be the Briton's next. Joshua is a two-time heavyweight world champion with 32 professional fights, while American Paul, who rose to fame on YouTube, has 13 bouts to his name. "At first I thought it was a publicity stunt from Jake and now the more I speak to them the more I actually understand - Jake Paul thinks he can beat Anthony Joshua," Hearn told BBC Sport. "This is a step too far. So be careful what you wish for, because this isn't a game. "This isn't YouTube. This isn't Disney. This is the danger zone." Both teams denied conditions could be part of the fight, like when Paul fought long-retired and then 58-year-old Mike Tyson last November. That contest had bigger gloves and a maximum of eight rounds, each limited to two minutes. Most Valuable Promotions CEO Nakisa Bardian, who set up MVP with 28-year-old Paul, says he is "not worried about safety at all". "This would be pursued as a straight up professional fight," said Bidarian. "I think there's certainly an experience gap between the two of them in terms of where they're at in their career. "From my prospective, Joshua's an active heavyweight. "The likelihood of Anthony Joshua being able to land a heavyweight punch is much higher than what Mike Tyson had. "I want to give Jake as much time as possible to improve on his boxing skillset to be able to effectively neutralise that main attribute of Anthony Joshua. "My ask of him is to wait longer to do it. But when an opportunity is there, sometimes if you don't take it, it never comes back." Hearn also acknowledged the fight would face criticism should it be made. In Japan, there was a timely reminder of the dangers of the sport as super-featherweight Shigetoshi Kotari died from injuries he sustained in a bout earlier this month. Paul has fought many ex-MMA fighters in boxing, has competed at cruiserweight and his single loss was to Tommy Fury. While the American has insisted becoming a world champion is his ultimate goal, there are few in the sport who would say that is possible. "Do I think he'll go and win world titles? Nope, never," Hearn said. Bidarian likened the potential match-up to when ex-UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou crossed into boxing. "Anthony Joshua fought Francis Ngannou. Francis Ngannou first fought Tyson Fury who many says is a better boxer than Anthony Joshua and went all 10 rounds," Bidarian said. "And then had the opportunity to fight Anthony Joshua and got flatlined. Which happens all the time in boxing." How much could Joshua earn from a Paul fight? Hearn and Bidarian both said the fight would probably take place at a stadium in the United States. As many as 72,000 people watched Paul and Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Texas while Joshua has staged six of his fights at different stadiums in the UK. The main motivation for Joshua is the prospective fight purse, which Hearn said could exceed his previous paydays. Joshua's purses have never been made public or verified but his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in 2022 earned him reportedly as much as £40m. "Probably right up there [as his biggest fight purse]," Hearn said. "[Usually] the more dangerous the fight, the bigger you expect the purse to be, or to reflect that. "This is actually the opposite. It might be AJ's easiest ever fight and potentially his biggest payday." Hip hop legend Jeezy takes 10-hour Uber ride to make it to own concert after transit nightmare
The show must go on… the road. Hip hop legend Jeezy was forced to take a 10-hour Uber ride from South Carolina to Baltimore to make his concert and avoid disappointing his fans after his multiple flights were canceled. Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, was scheduled to perform at The Lyric Baltimore on Aug. 1, but he was running out of options to get to the venue, having just wrapped up his concert in Atlanta days prior. 5 Jeezy paid an Uber driver to take him from South Carolina to Baltimore. Getty Images 'I woke up to my team informing me that all flights to Baltimore and D.C. had been canceled,' the rapper revealed in an Instagram post on Aug. 4. 'They then told me that my driver was on his way to pick me up, so we could drive to Baltimore for the next stop on the tour. Two hours into our drive, we hit an object on the highway, puncturing the gas tank and causing fuel to leak everywhere.' The artist's team ordered an Uber to take him to the airport as they navigated travel plans. But bad weather grounded the flight and the 'Put On' rapper asked the driver, Tanner, how much he'd charge to take them straight to the show, 10 hours away. 'Let me think about it,' Tanner replied. 5 Tanner, the Uber driver, claimed they only stopped once for gas and food during the entire trip. Instagram 5 Jeezy rode in the back seat of Tanner's red Ford Explorer. @ / TikTok 'I assured him that whatever it was, he'd have it,' Jeezy shared. 'Like real one, he didn't hesitate and just kept driving.' The red Ford Explorer pulled up to the venue ten minutes before the 8 Tanner said he drove the whole way and they made one stop to fuel up on gas and food. 'I told him he made a lot of people happy tonight! Gave him a Snowman Tee and told him he was my guest for the show tonight!' Jeezy shared. 5 Jeezy arrived to his concert with only a few minutes to spare. jeezy/Instagram The four-time Grammy-nominated rapper brought his 'MVP' driver on stage in front of thousands of cheering fans, who gave him a standing ovation. 'I can't make this s–t up,' the rapper told his fans in Baltimore. Jeezy did not reveal how much he paid Tanner for the trip. 'This turned out to be kind of cool and [it] blew up a little bit more than I expected,' Tanner said. 'Big thank you to Jeezy. He was super cool. Very nice dude [and] a genuine guy.' 5 The legendary artist brought Tanner on stage to thank him for the long trip. @ / TikTok Jeezy's fans commended Tanner's professionalism for helping out the rapper. Have You Seen ‘Weapons'? We Talk About What It Might Mean
This entire article is a spoiler of 'Weapons.' 'Weapons,' the new horror movie from the writer-director Zach Cregger, is chockablock with talismans, assassins, spells and speed racing humans-turned-hell hounds. What does it all mean? A quick recap: 'Weapons' examines what happens in an American town after all but one child in a grade school class disappears overnight, leaving behind the kids' bewildered teacher, Justine, (Julia Garner), the surviving student, Alex (Cary Christopher), and the despairing parents of the missing, including Archer (Josh Brolin). Amid the chaos enters Gladys (Amy Madigan), a witch with a nefarious plan. Discussing Cregger in her review of 'Weapons,' Manohla Dargis wrote, 'He has a talent for both creating and maintaining an ominous mood, deploying a classic approach to freaking out audiences by suggesting the very worst (things seem bad!) and delaying the reveal (they are!)' Cregger declined an interview request to talk about spoilers from his film, so let's take a swing at theorizing what might have inspired him. Time Crawl Cregger patiently paces his scares and revelations, as he did in 'Barbarian (2022),' which built dread by plucking nerve after nerve before its harrowing what's-in-the-basement reveal.
