Indian mission in Thailand issues travel advisory amid Cambodia tensions
Clashes erupted between Thailand and Cambodia along the border between their countries on Thursday, killing at least 11 people and injuring several others, according to the state-run Thai Public Broadcasting Service.
"In view of the situation near Thailand-Cambodia border, all Indian travelers to Thailand are advised to check updates from Thai official sources, including TAT Newsroom," the Indian embassy said in an X post.
Attaching a post by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, it said that the places mentioned "are not recommended" for travelling.
The tourism authority said that "several attractions" in Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, Sisaket, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi and Trat provinces are not recommended for visiting.

The Skyboss service, which comes at a 5-20% premium over the deluxe class, offers 10 kg hand baggage and 30 kg checked baggage, luxurious lounges, dedicated priority check-in, exclusive shuttle service to the aircraft, premium seat selection, and F&B on board," Pibulsonggram explained. Vietjet Air will operate four days a week. While the incoming flight will land in Kolkata before midnight every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, the departing flight will be in the early hours on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Monday. Bookings for the sector will commence on July 17. At present, there are five airlines that operate between Kolkata and Bangkok: IndiGo Airlines, Thai Airways, Bhutan Airlines, Thai AirAsia, and Lion Air. IndiGo also has a daily flight between Kolkata and Phuket. Vietjet Air vice-president (corporate affairs) Sayada Benjakul said the airline would look at increasing the frequency on the Kolkata-Bangkok sector to a daily service once loads pick up and also evaluate opportunities to introduce flights on other sectors, including Phuket.

Golden rays of the sun play hide and seek in the misty-white canvas of dawn in the Kabini Forests. As they sneak through the dancing branches, the silence is broken by 'an alarm call'. These calls are popularly considered 'vocal signals' sent by monkeys, squirrels, or various birds living atop the crown layer of the forests upon sighting predators on the ground, turning into warning signals for other animals. These unusual noises are not only understood by fauna but also by those who live in tune with mother nature, like tribals, forest officials, and naturalists. A movement of their heads, high concentration, eerie silence, are all keynotes to find the rarely-spotted big cat during a safari or trek. Kabini rests on the eastern lap of the Western Ghats, belonging to Nagarhole National Park on the banks of the River Kabini. Lake Kabini, with an area of 24 was formed after the construction of the Kabini Irrigation Dam.
