IndiGo Ventures raises Rs 450 cr; invests in startup Jeh Aerospace
ADVERTISEMENT Besides, the company also announced the first investment in Hyderabad-based aerospace startup Jeh Aerospace, without disclosing the amount.
Jeh will deploy the investment to scale its advanced digital manufacturing infrastructure, enhance its AI-driven production optimization and deep supply chain integration platforms, and attract engineering and production talent, it said.
Launched in August last year with approval from SEBI to raise Rs 600 crore, IndiGo Ventures is focused on investing in early-stage startups driving innovation in aviation and allied sectors. The fund targets companies at the pre-Series A to Series B stages, with an emphasis on long-term strategic alignment.
This first close and investment (in Jeh Aerospace) marks a significant step in IndiGo's broader innovation agenda' combining operational expertise with capital to empower entrepreneurs solving critical challenges in aerospace and related domains, it said.
ADVERTISEMENT Founded by industry veterans Vishal Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla - alumni of Tata's aerospace joint ventures with Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Sikorsky - Jeh Aerospace combines deep sectoral expertise with sharp operational execution. Within its first year of operations, Jeh Aerospace has scaled to a 100-member team of specialized engineers and technicians, delivered 100,000 flight-critical aeroengine components and precision tools meeting AS9100 standards, and secured USD100 million in long-term contracts with global aerospace companies, IndiGo Ventures said.
ADVERTISEMENT "By combining our technical expertise and global footprint, this partnership (with Jeh Aerospace) will propel use of next-generation technology in the aerospace and aviation sector. This investment also strengthens the Indo-US aerospace ties, advances make-in-India and accelerates innovation, contributing to realising India's potential to become a global aerospace and aviation hub," Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer at IndiGo. Despite India being one of the world's fastest-growing aviation markets, the country is still a small player in the global aerospace manufacturing industry, highlighting a significant gap in domestic manufacturing capacity, it stated.
"At Jeh Aerospace, we are forging a future-ready aerospace ecosystem by leveraging India's exceptional talent, advanced manufacturing, and AI-driven digital platforms. This investment empowers us to scale production capacity to meet growing demand from our global customers, ensuring flawless, on-time delivery of high-precision components," said Vishal R. Sanghavi, Co-founder and CEO, Jeh Aerospace.

Tier II boost: Godrej buys 50 acres in Raipur for premium plotted project
Godrej Properties Ltd. (GPL), one of India's top real estate developers, on Wednesday announced its maiden foray into Chhattisgarh's capital city, Raipur, through the acquisition of approximately 50 acres of land. The project, located off Old Dhamtari Road. The project, slated to launch in early 2026, will feature a premium plotted residential development spanning an estimated 9.5 lakh sq. ft. of saleable area. This move marks Godrej's continued focus on scaling its presence in Tier II growth corridors through plotted developments—an asset class increasingly preferred by both homebuyers and long-term investors for its flexibility, faster turnaround time, and appreciation potential. Why Raipur, and Why Now? Raipur—Chhattisgarh's capital—is emerging as a key real estate hotspot, backed by infrastructure investments and rising middle-class aspirations. The site's location near Old Dhamtari Road offers excellent connectivity to Central Raipur, the airport, and railway station. It also benefits from proximity to the Atal Path (Raipur–Naya Raipur Expressway) and upcoming Raipur–Hyderabad and Raipur–Visakhapatnam corridors— 'There's a clear shift toward Tier II and III cities as engines of real estate growth. Locations like Raipur now offer the perfect blend of infrastructure readiness, rising disposable incomes, and demand for secure land-based assets,' said Gaurav Pandey, MD & CEO, Godrej Properties. The Raipur project is part of Godrej's broader land acquisition spree in emerging regions. The company is expected to announce more plotted townships in markets like Nagpur, Bhubaneswar, and Jaipur in the coming quarters. Recently, Godrej Properties acquired a licensed land in Panipat for Rs 600 crore, which is spread over 40 acres and has a potential developable area of 3 million sq ft. In June, Godrej Properties acquired and will develop a 16-acre land parcel in Upper Kharadi, Pune. Development on the land will primarily comprise premium group housing and high-street retail. The project will have a developable potential of around 2.5 million square feet with an estimated revenue potential of Rs 3,100 crore. Investment Case for Plotted Developments The Raipur project aligns with Godrej's strategy of leveraging early-mover advantage in Tier II cities through plotted layouts. Plots offer several financial upsides: Lower entry cost compared to metros Flexible build timelines, lowering capital lock-in Independent asset ownership, attractive for inheritance and resale Faster approvals and execution, enabling quicker monetisation As previously reported by Business Standard, developers including DLF, Birla Estates, and Puravankara are aggressively chasing similar formats in cities such as Coimbatore, Indore, and Mysuru—capitalising on a ₹10-lakh-crore real estate opportunity predicted for non-metros by 2030. Project: Godrej Plotted Development, Raipur Location: Old Dhamtari Road (proximity to Atal Path) Size: ~50 acres | 9.5 lakh sq. ft. saleable area Launch timeline: Likely early 2026

Protean eGov crashes 50% from peak.Should you hold or exit this Ramesh Damani stock?
Ramesh Damani-backed stock Protean eGov Technologies has plunged nearly 50% from its 52-week high to a fresh low, with the decline occurring over a relatively short span. Despite a recent technical bounce, analysts believe the stock's troubles are far from over and advise against taking fresh positions at this stage. ADVERTISEMENT On Monday, the stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 785 on the NSE, just five months after touching a high of Rs 1,535 on February 6 this year. Although the stock has posted gains of over 3% on a closing basis over the past two trading sessions, the rally is not strong enough to suggest a recovery. Market expert Drumil Vithlani believes Protean eGov Technologies continues to exhibit a weak structure, consistently forming lower highs and lower lows on the hourly chart. "In the previous sessions, the stock marked a fresh low near Rs 785, from which a technical bounce was observed. However, despite this rebound, the broader outlook remains negative as long as the stock stays below its 20 EMA," said the Technical Research Analyst at Bonanza."The RSI had slipped into oversold territory, which justified the short-term recovery seen today (Wednesday). Going forward, Rs 785 remains a key level to watch. A breakdown below this support could accelerate the decline toward Rs 760 and Rs 750, respectively," he warned, while recommending that traders remain cautious and avoid fresh long positions until a sustained move above short-term averages is confirmed. "One can wait for some time before adding a position. Only if it trades and closes above Rs 900 levels can it trigger fresh buying. Strong support is seen at the Rs 780 level," the analyst said.
