ACTRESS and Britpop icon Patsy Kensit has been lined up to star in the much-awaited Real Housewives Of London.
The former EastEnders, Emmerdale and Holby City star, who is the former wife of Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher, would take top billing in the spin-off of the Cheshire version.

The series will feature a gaggle of wealthy and glamorous women based in the capital.
A TV insider said: 'The Real Housewives Of London is not about celebrities, but Patsy is typical of the calibre of people the producers are targeting. She's an exception worth making in this case.
'But the creators are keeping very tight-lipped about who the final line-up will include, but the very fact they have approached Patsy is sure to whip up excitement.'
The prospect of mother-of-two Patsy, who has been married four times, taking part isn't that far-fetched as she starred in Celebrity Big Brother in 2015.
Reality TV channel Hayu announced last year it was making The Real Housewives Of London, due to drop at some point in 2025.
The exact date and details have yet to be confirmed.
But it is eventually expected to get picked up by ITV.
It comes a decade after the The Real Housewives Of Cheshire debuted on ITVBe and helped turn the likes of Dawn Ward and Lauren Simon into minor celebrities.
The show also starred Christine McGuinness, who was then married to TV presenter Paddy.
So producers of the show have form for adding a sprinkling of stardust among the line-up.

TENNANT FLOP
DUE to low ratings, David Tennant's The Genius Game will now only air once a week on ITV1.
The show, which sees some of Britain's brainiest folk take on epic strategy games, was due to screen on Wednesdays and Thursdays but the schedule has been scrapped.

The police corner Vanessa in huge Emmerdale murder story

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) finds herself implicated in Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) murder when Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) drops her in it in Emmerdale. Things are getting nasty in the Dales after the discovery of Nate's body and accusations are levelled at two likely suspects. John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) – the actual perpetrator – is questioned by police, but not over his own possible guilt, Cain is the one in the frame. After arguing with Nate before he died, he is prime suspect. John does some quick thinking and talking to get Cain Dingle's (Jeff Hordley) name off the suspect list, and after Cain's own grilling by the police, he airs his suspicions that Tracy's dodgy behaviour makes her look guilty. So those are the two suspects, Cain and Tracy. John then does the unthinkable to secure Cain's freedom – he plants Nate's phone in the playhouse at Tracy's. When the police show up with a warrant, Tracy thinks she's done for when they find the mobile tucked away. Worse still, the police discover that the removal man who came to collect Nate's things doesn't exist. Things are looking bad for the single mum. More Trending The police reveal to her that they believe Nate died the day he was meant to leave, and thinking on her toes, Tracy blurts out an alibi – she was with Vanessa all day. Netflix fans only have days to watch ‘inspiring' Florence Pugh film

One of Florence Pugh's earliest and best movies is only on Netflix until the end of the month Netflix subscribers have just a couple of weeks to stream one of Florence Pugh's heartwarming breakout films before it's removed. This could be your last chance to watch it at no extra cost if you're already subscribed, so make sure you don't miss out. ‌ Currently starring in the hit Marvel blockbuster Thunderbolts*, Pugh's success has skyrocketed in recent years thanks to roles in Oppenheimer, Midsommar and Little Women. ‌ However, before starring in major Hollywood hits, she began her career with a number of smaller yet equally impressive indie films, such as Lady Macbeth and the horror film Malevolent. Released in the same year as Midsommar, the underappreciated comedy-drama Fighting with My Family is currently on Netflix, but you've only got until Monday, 23rd June to watch it. Directed by The Office legend Stephen Merchant and based on the inspiring story of Norwich-born wrestler Saraya Bevis, aka Paige, this inspiring drama follows her rise to success in the WWE from humble beginnings. As Paige's career goes from strength to strength, her brother Zak Zodiac (played by Jack Lowden) struggles with her new celebrity status. While Fighting with My Family isn't quite as well-known as some of Pugh's more recent hits, it's developed a passionate cult following and is well worth a watch before it leaves Netflix. ‌ In addition to Pugh and Lowden, iconic British stars Lena Headey and Nick Frost star as Paige's parents, while US A-listers Vince Vaughn and Dwayne Johnson also make appearances. Fans have been raving about the film since its release in 2019, with one five-star Google review admitting: 'Honestly obsessed with this film. 'Watched it about 10 times! So good to see a film about the youngest ever divas champion. The siblings in this film bring me to tears.' ‌ Ginny and Georgia season 3 - Get Netflix free with Sky This article contains affiliate links, we will receive a commission on any sales we generate from it. I thought the story of Paige journey was told exceptionally well - laughs and moments where you want to reach in the screen and hug some of the characters. ‌ 'I found myself literally screaming and cheering Paige at some points in the film. Truly a great movie and story! So proud of that woman!' Movie buffs have also been championing the film on Letterboxd, with one reviewer penning: 'It will make you laugh until you cry, cry until you have no tears left, and it will make you want to hug your loved ones and never let go. 'Also can't write this review without mentioning that Florence Pugh shines like the sun in everything she dips her toes in, she is so incredible and I could watch her do anything for any length of time. I'm in such awe when I watch her.' And a final fan called it 'extremely heartwarming, inspiring, funny and just all around fantastic!!!!' Make sure you add Fighting With My Family to the top of your watchlist before it leaves streaming in just a couple of weeks. Fighting With My Family is available on Netflix until Monday, 23rd June.

The EastEnders star was suspended by the BBC after a video emerged of him on the Strictly set using the term 'm********s' to describe the people of Blackpool, the seaside town where the show was being filmed. Blackpool Council's Tory group leader Paul Galley blasted: 'Everyone will be shocked at such a horrible comment and I join them in condemning it.' And the BBC told The Sun on Sunday: 'This language is entirely unacceptable and in no way reflects the values or standards we hold and expect at the BBC. We have robust processes in place for this.' The Sun on Sunday understands Jamie has been suspended by the BBC from his role playing Jay Slater on EastEnders. Jamie made the offensive remark on a mobile phone video while the Strictly cast and crew were at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom last November for the flagship BBC1 series live show. He was backstage during rehearsals with his Strictly co-star Wynne Evans who said 'Oh my God' on the footage sent to a pal of Jamie's. Jamie, who has been on EastEnders since 2006, said in a statement to The Sun on Sunday: 'I want to apologise sincerely and wholeheartedly for the words I used in the video showing my reaction to making it through Blackpool week on Strictly. 'I am deeply sorry for any offence and upset my words and actions have caused. 'It is no excuse, but I did not fully understand the derogatory term I used and its meaning. Strictly's Jamie Borthwick cheated on me during the show and then used co-star to try and smooth it over, ex tells pals 'That is on me completely. 'Now I am aware, I am deeply embarrassed to have used the term and directed it in the way I did. 'It was wrong. 'When I made the video, I was excited and caught up in the moment. 'Again, that is no excuse. 'But my regrettable actions are not a true reflection of my views, or who I am. 'I enjoyed every minute of my time in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom and the town itself. 'The people of Blackpool have always been amazing with the Strictly crew, dancers and cast members. 'I know they will be again for this year's show and those in years to come. 'I am truly sorry.' The actor and Wynne were sharing their excitement after being told they were selected for the lucrative Strictly tour - which was staged nationwide earlier this year. Jamie, laughing, says on the video: 'Blackpool by the way. 'Absolute m********s'.' The soap star and his professional dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas were lauded in Blackpool after dancing the Jive to The Ketchup Song by Las Ketchup in the live show on November 16. This latest shock comes after opera singer Wynne was booted off the Strictly tour in January accused of making an inappropriate sexual comment, and later told his BBC Radio Wales contract is not being renewed following a four-month investigation. 5 Borthwick pictured with dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas on Strictly Credit: PA 5 The comments sparked an angry reaction from disability campaigners and the people of Blackpool Credit: Alamy And it follows The Sun on Sunday revealing in April how Jamie and Wynne were rapped by BBC bosses for sharing a joke over a sex toy video backstage at the Strictly tour in Birmingham - which happened before the latter's suspension. Now Jamie is at the centre of a new storm after The Sun on Sunday alerted his team and the BBC to the latest video. It sparked an angry reaction from disability campaigners and the people of Blackpool. Warren Kirwan, Media Manager at disability equality charity Scope said: 'Attitudes and language like this are never acceptable. 'It's not just ignorant and hurtful to disabled people, it has wider consequences. 'Negative attitudes hold disabled people back in all areas of life from getting a job to shopping on the high street. It's not just ignorant and hurtful to disabled people, it has wider consequences. Negative attitudes hold disabled people back in all areas of life from getting a job to shopping on the high street Warren Kirwan, Scope 'Mr Borthwick needs to reflect on what he said, educate himself and do better. 'We hope he takes the opportunity to get to know the reality of disabled people's lives.' Councillor Paul Galley, Blackpool Council's Conservative group leader, condemned Jamie Borthwick's comments. He said: 'Blackpool's best asset is its amazing people, along with the millions of people from around the UK who genuinely love the town. 'Everyone will be shocked at such a horrible comment and I join them in condemning it.' Meanwhile, a source explained how the Blackpool show is the 'jewel in the crown' of the Strictly series - with celebs and pro dancers often saying how much they enjoy performing there. The source added: 'This will be considered a real blow and hugely embarrassing to the BBC and the show's very warm relationship with the people of Blackpool and the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.'
