Umno's Jamal now cancer-free
KUALA LUMPUR: Umno's Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos has revealed he is now cancer-free.
The Sungai Besar Umno chief had been undergoing intensive treatment for the past five months after the cancer spread from his lungs to his brain. Doctors have now confirmed he is free of the disease.
"Alhamdulillah, I want to thank my friends, acquaintances, and all Malaysians who continuously prayed for my health," he said in a statement.
In March, Jamal was hospitalised due to worsening health. He said an MRI scan then revealed his cancer had spread.
He has been hospitalised several times before for stage four lung cancer.
His health has been declining since September 2022, resulting in significant weight loss and a weakened condition.
