Candice Warner reveals the very surprising job she would have now if she never became an Ironwoman - and how she will really react if her kids don't become athletes
The retired Ironwoman, 40, began competing in the series as a teenager and soon became state champion, but left it behind 13 years ago for the glitz and glam of media.
Now, in an exclusive chat with Daily Mail Australia, the mother-of-three has confessed she would have become a vet 'in another life'.
'I love the life we've built,' she said, referencing her cricketer husband David Warner and their three daughters Ivy Mae, 10, Indi Rae, nine, and Isla Rose, six.
'Do I wish we could live a quieter life where not everyone knew everything about us? Of course. But aside from that there isn't much I'd change.'

'In another life, if competitive sport wasn't for me, I think I would have been a vet,' she admitted.
'But all in all, I think our life would look pretty similar to what it does now—lots of family time, staying active and enjoying friends' company.'
Candice, who has teamed up with Voltaren as the brand's official ambassador for the 2025 City2Surf, went on to say it was 'tough' for her to imagine 'doing anything that didn't involve sport'.
'Even if it's being the kids' sports team manager cutting the oranges—I'm passionate about it!' she said.
But what would the sports-lover do if her daughters took a different route?
Candice and David, 38, welcomed their eldest child in September 2014, a year before they tied the knot at the Terrara House Estate on the NSW South Coast.
They then announced the birth of Indi in January 2016 and Isla in June 2019.
So far, their girls have taken to the world of sports, with the eldest two enjoying tennis, swimming, gymnastics and dancing in recent years.
Candice has previously said they also enjoy cricket just like their retired sportsman dad, who was once captain of the Big Bash League team Sydney Thunder.
However, the media personality said she is well aware of how 'tough and unpredictable' the life of a professional athlete can be.
'Whether they dream of being an athlete or taking a different path, David and I will support them in whatever choice they make,' she said.
'Making sure my kids live happy and healthy lives is all I care about. What that looks like for them. I don't know—they are still young!
'David and I are very conscious of letting our girls try an array of different sports and hobbies so that they get a taste of it all.
'If professional sport is what they want to pursue, I'd like to hope I'm one of those cool, calm and collected sideline mums, but deep down I will be cheering nonstop for them.
'And if they decide that sport isn't for them, that's totally okay too.
'I know how tough and unpredictable that world can be—so if they want something totally different, we'll be just as proud. It's their happiness that matters most.'
Whatever the future holds, one thing is for certain, Candice won't be turning her back on the world of pro athleticism any time soon.
Despite being a retired athlete, the former SAS Australia star has become involved in the popular Sydney road running event City2Surf.
The annual 'fun run' covers a 14-kilometre course open for competitive runners and community participants alike.
This year, Candice has teamed up with Voltaren to serve as the official ambassador for the 2025 City2Surf charity fun run, which takes place on Sunday, August 10.

I was walking around, no clothes on, just undies, for scotch, in a delirium. And then I got lost.' Grant added that his wife of 14 years, Chezzi, was looking for him for three hours, only to find him in a fire escape, sleeping next to a pile of human excrement. 'I could barely walk right, with a freshly broken back, and I'd got lost in the building, and she found me three hours later in the fire escape, asleep on the ground, just curled up in the corner, just stuck and lost next to someone else's poo,' Grant admitted. 'Someone had taken a dump in the fire escape, and here I am asleep on the ground, in my undies, lost. 'I just try and remember that if I ever think I'm slipping.'
