Here's More Evidence That A New Tony Hawk Game Is Coming

Yahoo18-02-2025

I've got some good news for all you fans of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and its various video game spin-offs, sequels, and remasters. A skateboarder recently claimed that he will be included in a yet-be-announced remaster of a Tony Hawk skateboarding video game. It's yet one more piece of evidence that a new Tony Hawk game is in the works.
On February 18, in an interview with the Breakfast Club podcast, professional skateboarder Tyshawn Jones talked about how he started skating, and his ongoing career. And during the interview, Jones offhandedly mentioned a new Tony Hawk game.
I'm in a Tony Hawk [game] coming out, so that's cool,' said Jones. 'They got a new one they're remastering. So that's about to come out. I was in the last one.'
Jones, who is 26, seems to be referring to his appearance in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, the last game released in the franchise. This remake of the first two games in the series launched in 2020. This is the only THPS game that Jones has appeared in, so he seems to be indicating that a new game—his second appearance in the series—is coming soon. Activision has yet to announce anything.
This isn't the first time we've heard about a new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game being in development. Back in September 2024, Tony Hawk himself confirmed that him and THPS publisher Activision were talking and 'working on something.'
Hawk later followed that tease up with another, claiming that while he wasn't allowed to say anything, he could confirm the beloved skateboarding franchise did indeed have a 'future.' That sounds a lot like a new game is coming!
The question now is what is this new THPS game going to be? In today's interview appearance, Jones claims it's a remaster of some kind. Perhaps this next game will be THPS 3+4, as was first pitched a few years ago following the success of THPS 1+2. Activision wasn't interested at the time. Or maybe it's a remaster or remake of Tony Hawk's Underground, my favorite game in the series and a fan favorite. Or maybe its a totally new mobile game and we are all getting way too excited about these teases.
One thing is for sure: There seems to be a new Tony Hawk skateboarding game in our near future. Let's hope its good.

Jonathan Joss' Husband Breaks Silence Over Actor's Horrific Cause of Death

Jonathan Joss' Husband Breaks Silence Over Actor's Horrific Cause of Death originally appeared on Parade. King of the Hill star Jonathan Joss' husband has broken his silence following the voice actor's untimely and horrifying death, allegedly at the hands of one of their neighbors. As Parade previously reported, Joss, 59, was shot multiple times, reportedly during an unspecified altercation with a neighbor in south San Antonio. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It was unclear at the time what had sparked the altercation, but Tristan Kern de Gonzalestook to his late partner's Facebook account on the afternoon of June 2 to recount the details of the terrible incident that took Joss' life the night prior. According to the post, the pair had returned to their former home in San Antonio, which had previously burned down, to check the mail when they were met with a distressing sight: the skull and harness of one of their dogs, placed in direct view. "This caused both of us severe emotional distress," Kern de Gonzales wrote, noting that it was while they were expressing their grief a man approached, "started yelling violent homophobic slurs," and raised a gun and fired on them. Kern de Gonzales explained that, while living in the neighborhood, the two suffered years' worth of "threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set [our home] on fire" and were "harassed regularly by individuals who made it clear they did not accept our relationship" and were "openly homophobic." He continued, "Jonathan and I had no weapons. We were not threatening anyone. We were grieving," revealing that Joss pushed Kern de Gonzales out of the way when their assailant opened fire and saved his life. "He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other." Kern de Gonzales concluded the devastating update by letting friends and fans know, "I was with him when he passed. I told him how much he was loved. To everyone who supported him, his fans, his friends, know that he valued you deeply. He saw you as family. My focus now is on protecting Jonathan's legacy and honoring the life we built together." Earlier on Monday, police confirmed that they'd arrested Sigfredo Alvarez-Cega in connection to Joss' death, charging the man with murder and setting his bail at $200, Joss' Husband Breaks Silence Over Actor's Horrific Cause of Death first appeared on Parade on Jun 2, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 2, 2025, where it first appeared.

A Fitting Finale? Oilers Corey Perry Eyes Cup No. 2 To Cap Off Hall Of Fame Career As the third-oldest player in the NHL, Edmonton Oilers right winger Corey Perry is playing on borrowed time. He just turned 40 years old – only Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Brent Burns and St. Louis Blues defenseman Ryan Suter are older – and Perry has said he wants to play until he's 45. But like any player who's played 20 seasons in hockey's top league, Perry will eventually have to come to terms with the fact his NHL days are just about done. 2:51 Now Playing Paused Ad Playing

Influential ‘80s singer makes first public appearance in 8 years

Iconic Irish singer Enya spends most of her time in her massive £98 million ($131 million) Victorian castle near Dublin. However, the 'Only Time' singer ditched her mostly reclusive lifestyle for a rare public appearance — the first in eight years. Enya, 64, was spotted when she attended a wedding at Drumhalla House in Donegal, Ireland on May 16, according to a Facebook post from the Donegal Dancers. 'What a honour it was to perform at Sean and David's wedding last night in @drumhallahouse," the post read. 'There may be a couple familiar faces in the first pic,' it read. 'Some of you may know them as the World Famous Clannad & ENYA. What a privilege to have them in the crowd last night.' Enya was last seen in public when she attended the Grammy Awards in 2017, The Sun reported. Reddit fans expressed their excitement to see the singer in public after so long. 'She looks great after another decade! And her outfit, of course, is totally Enya coded,' one user commented. Another user said the singer 'looks so lovely here,' but added, 'girl drop the mixtape already omg it's been 10 years.' With more than 80 million albums sold worldwide, Enya is the best-selling Irish solo artist and second-best-selling music act from Ireland overall behind rock band U2. After achieving initial success in her home country, Enya became a worldwide sensation through her international hit single 'Orinoco Flow (Sail Away)' off her 1988 sophomore album 'Watermark.' The vocalist released the multi-million-selling albums 'Shepherd Moons,' 'The Memory of Trees,' and 'A Day Without Rain' in the following decade. The latter project was supported by its lead single 'Only Time,' which reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2001. Enya's subsequent releases included 'Amarantine' in 2005, 'And Winter Came...' in 2008 and 'Dark Sky Island' in 2015. The singer has not put out her own music ever since.
