Amitabh Bachchan asks Abhishek Bachchan to ‘fight till the very end'; praises him for never comparing himself to others: ‘One should never give up'
Amitabh wrote, 'The essence of life is NEVER GIVE UP .. fight till the very end .. you may win you may lose .. BUT AT LEAST YOU FOUGHT. The 'pluckiest' .. loser has more respect than the 'so called winner ' .. for the pluckiest loser always shall be remembered by – 'he fought and almost WON'. That has a greater sense of success than the more monetary guideline of commercial success .. 25 years !! that is no mean feat .. comparisons with others is a weakness .. the results speak more than any other 'ness.''
Amitabh Bachchan also praised Abhishek Bachchan for not comparing himself to others and said he admires this quality in his son. He wrote, 'You Abhishek have ever and ALWAYS compared yourself with yourself .. not many can do that .. And each day I learn more and more and more .. They tell me you have done enough sit back and relax ..NO .. sitting back is a defeat of life – you are giving up .. and one should NEVER GIVE UP.'
Abhishek Bachchan began his career in films alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan in JP Dutta's 2000 film Refugee. In an earlier interaction, the actor had admitted that many filmmakers refused to launch him at that time, as they didn't want to take the responsibility of launching superstar Amitabh Bachchan's son.
Speaking to Nayandeep Rakshit, he had said, 'I didn't understand then but I understood when I signed Refugee. They were like, 'We don't want the responsibility of launching Amitabh Bachchan's son.' I didn't get that, but when I started working and I started seeing firsthand what my father meant to the film industry — fellow actors, directors — I said, you know, I get it. He's such an immense figure that people have so much love and respect for, and I think that's amazing. I can understand why people said, 'Don't put that on us.''
Over the years, Abhishek Bachchan has starred in fan-favourite films like Yuva, Dhoom, Bunty Aur Babli, Bluffmaster, Manmarziyaan, Delhi-6, and others. However, his career-defining role was in Mani Ratnam's 2007 film Guru. Recently, Abhishek's films like I Want to Talk, Ghoomer, Be Happy, and Kaalidhar Laapata have seen him portray father figures. He also starred in the multi-starrer Housefull 5. The actor will next be seen in Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film King.

Kaun Banega Crorepati has been one of the longest-running reality shows in India, enjoyed by all age groups. Hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, the show has seen 16 successful seasons, and now the 17th season will be launched soon. Ahead of the release of the 17th season, let's revisit the time when CID actors Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava graced the show as guests. During their presence, the CID team also sought help from their co-star and late actor Dinesh Phadnis aka Fredericks. When late actor Dinesh Phadnis tried to help CID team When Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman and Aditya Srivastava aka Abhijeet were sitting on the hot seat, Amitabh Bachchan asked them the 8th question worth Rs 6,40,000. The question was: According to the Indian epics, who among the following did not meet his death at the hands of another? A - Vidura B- Kumbhakarna C- Shravan Kumar D- Putana Correct Answer: Vidura As Satam and Srivastava were sceptical about the right answer, they decided to seek help from their friend and used a 'Phone a friend' lifeline and dialled Dinesh Phadnis aka Fredericks. Big B called Phadnis, but the latter assumed that Dayanand and Aditya were joking with him about being Amitabh Bachchan. The veteran actor informed Dinesh about ACP Pradyuman and Abhijeet being unable to answer the question. Dinesh had 30 seconds, and by the time Aditya explained the question, the time ended without Dinesh answering the question. Shivaji Satam and Aditya Srivastava reached the conclusion that option A- Vidura is the correct answer. The answer was right, and so the CID team won Rs 6,40,000. The episode ended with this question. Before Aditya joined Satam on the hot seat, Dayanand Shetty was seen sitting with the veteran actor and answering questions by Amitabh Bachchan. Like the CID team, several other celebrity guests were seen on the show playing the interesting quiz with Mr Bachchan. Speaking about the upcoming season, Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 is set to premiere from August 11 at 9 PM on Sony TV.

Taylor Swift's 20-Year Career To Be Explored In New Channel 4 Series
Channel 4 announced a two-part documentary on Taylor Swift, titled Taylor, exploring her career, transformation, and cultural impact. A new two-part documentary series centred around global music icon Taylor Swift has been officially announced by Channel 4. Titled Taylor (working title), the project promises to offer a closer look into the pop sensation's two-decade-long career and her rise to cultural prominence. The series aims to unpack the complexities of Swift's transformation from a teenage country singer to one of the most influential and highest-grossing artists of all time. Channel 4 confirmed the project following months of speculation, calling Swift a 'global phenomenon" and promising a fresh take through rare archival material, commentary from insiders, and perspectives from fans and experts alike. 'Taylor Swift is an unprecedentedly powerful 21st century voice for women and young people," said director Guy King. 'Under the microscope of social media since the earliest days of MySpace and Tumblr, she came of age during a new feminist wave. With her fame came controversy, which she so skilfully wrestled to the floor. We're excited to tell her story." The documentary, produced by Sandpaper Films (known for A Deadly American Marriage), is being helmed by King, whose past credits include The Fall and Bombing Brighton. Jessica Brady serves as the producer, with Lina Caicedo on board as archive producer. Executive producers include Susannah Price and Henry Singer, while BAFTA-winning editor Martin Thompson is leading post-production. Blue Ant International will handle global sales. Channel 4's exploration of Swift's journey comes in the wake of her record-breaking Eras Tour and the critical success of her Netflix documentary Miss Americana. With over 20 years in the music industry, Swift has earned widespread acclaim and become the first billionaire whose fortune is primarily built on music. The series will examine not only the highs and lows of her public life but also the loyal fanbase she's cultivated and the broader impact she's had on the music industry and popular culture. 'Akshay Kumar would steal and hide people's watches, Ajay Devgn acted like ghost to scare people': Shilpa Shirodkar recalls working with Bollywood pranksters
Actor Shilpa Shirodkar recently spoke about her journey in the industry and some of the unforgettable moments she experienced with big names, including Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth . She also referred to Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn as the biggest pranksters in the industry. Shilpa recalls working with Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Shilpa recalled working with Amitabh Bachchan and how he once displayed a lovable gesture towards her during the shoot of 'Hum'. She added that Big B taught her the value of discipline and the importance of being punctual. She described him as a 'director's actor' who never behaved like a superstar on set. Shilpa Shirodkar opens up on getting rejected for 'Chaiyya Chaiyya': 'They thought I was too fat so they opted for Malaika Arora' She met with an accident while shooting a song in 'Hum' and was unable to walk for a week. During that time, Amitabh sent her some flowers, which she found adorable. Shilpa noted that superstar Rajinikanth shared a similarly humble nature. The two often conversed in Marathi on set. Shilpa shares how mischievous Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar were on set When asked about the mischief-makers in the industry, Shilpa didn't hesitate to name Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar as the biggest pranksters. 'Ajay was a real prankster. We were shooting in Shimla, and he had made up this elaborate story about there being a ghost in our hotel. In the middle of the night, there were knocks on my door, and I was sharing a room with both my parents and my hairdresser. People were running in the lobby wearing white bed sheets, and we found out in the morning that it was Ajay. ' Akshay used to playfully steal and hide other people's watches — he even swiped someone's watch on occasion. 'He would then tell me to ask them the time. Now, I wasn't part of the prank, so I was equally confused when the person would frantically start looking for their watch. People used to get mad, and the shooting would be halted, but it was still a good bit of fun,' Shilpa added. The 'Kishen Kanhaiya' actress dismissed the common perception that Govinda was often late to sets, stating that in her experience, he was always punctual and professional. She emphasised that none of their shoots were ever delayed because of him, and that all their films together were completed and released on time.
