The commercial services for the three trains will start on Monday, News18 has learnt.
Last week, News18 reported about the flagging off of these trains on Sunday, covering the abovementioned routes.
The Ajni-Pune Vande Bharat will take 12 hours—the longest for a chair car train in India. This will be an eight-coach train.
So far, to complete the nearly 900 km journey between Nagpur and Pune, Duronto Express is the fastest train on this route, taking nearly 13 hours.
The new Vande Bharat will start from Ajni station, about 3 km from Nagpur railway station, on the Delhi-Chennai line.
As of now, among the existing 72 Vande Bharat trains, the Delhi-Varanasi route covers the longest distance of over 750 km, while the Tatanagar-Brahmapur train has the longest travel time at nine hours and 25 minutes.
The chair car services have proved successful, boasting almost 100% occupancy across 144 routes nationwide. Maharashtra alone has 22 such services. Nagpur is connected to Secunderabad, Bilaspur, and Indore via Vande Bharat trains, while Pune operates trains to Hubballi and Kolhapur.
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Amritsar Vande Bharat will cover the journey in five hours and 40 minutes. The chair car fare will be Rs 1,005 and the executive class fare Rs 1,890.
On its way back, the journey from Amritsar will take five hours and 35 minutes, costing Rs 1,170 for the chair car and Rs 2,085 for the executive class.
The train will cover Amritsar, Beas, Jalandhar City, Pathankot Cantt, and Jammu Tawi before reaching its final destination, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.
The Bengaluru-Belagavi journey will cost Rs 2,905 for the executive class and Rs 1,575 for the chair car. It will be completed in eight hours and 20 minutes.
The return journey from Belagavi will take eight hours and 30 minutes. The cost for a chair car ticket will be Rs 1,630 and Rs 2,955 for the executive class.
The SBC Vande Bharat (26751) will cover Dharwar, SSS Hubballi Junction, SMM Haveri, Davangere, Tumakuru, and Yesvantpur Junction between Belagavi and KSR Bengaluru.
The first Vande Bharat train was inaugurated in 2019. While the government had planned to inaugurate 75 Vande Bharat trains during the 75 weeks of the Amrit Mahotsav by August 15, 2024, the ministry achieved the milestone before August 15, 2025.

‘India will continue…': Finance Ministry reacts as S&P Global upgrades rating amid Trump's ‘dead economy' jibe

The Ministry of Finance reacted positively to S&P Global Ratings upgrading India's long-term sovereign credit rating to 'BBB' from 'BBB-' — the first such upgrade in 18 years, since January 2007. In a lengthy post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), the Finance Ministry credited the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and promised continued growth momentum to achieve 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047. The ministry wrote, 'The Government of India welcomes the decision by S&P Global Ratings to upgrade India's long-term sovereign credit rating to 'BBB' from 'BBB-' and its short-term rating to 'A-2' from 'A-3', with a Stable Outlook.' It highlighted that 'S&P last upgraded India in January 2007 to 'BBB-', hence, this rating upgrade comes after an 18-year gap', adding that this ratings upgrade 'reaffirms that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, providing stability, India's economy is truly agile, active, and resilient'. The statement added that 'India has prioritised fiscal consolidation, while maintaining its strong infrastructure creation drive and inclusive growth approach, that has led to the upgrade. India will continue its buoyant growth momentum and undertake steps for further reforms to attain the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.' 'S&P's is the second sovereign rating revision this year. DBRS had recently upgraded India to BBB status,' it added. (This is a developing story, more updates coming…)

Good news for Tata Motors shareholders! S&P Global Ratings BIG predictions on company, says balance sheet strength to offset…

S&P Global Ratings said Tata Motors' solid balance sheet will help to offset the impact of its planned commercial vehicle business demerger and potential risks associated with the proposed acquisition of Italian firm Iveco. The rating agency noted that the company's credit profile is in a transition phase, shaped by the Iveco deal, the impending demerger, moderating demand, and tariff-related uncertainties. Despite these challenges, S&P said Tata Motors' balance sheet remains robust. S&P Global Ratings On Tata Motors 'The Iveco acquisition will not affect our rating on Tata Motors (BBB/Stable/–). This is because the rated entity will only house the passenger vehicles business after the demerger, which will likely conclude shortly,' the ratings agency said. A new entity will hold the commercial vehicle business, and Iveco will fall under this entity once the acquisition is complete, possibly by April 2026. Last month, Tata Motors announced that it would acquire Italian commercial vehicle maker Iveco Group, excluding its defence business, for euro 3.8 billion (nearly Rs 38,240 crore) in a deal which is set to be the Indian automaker's biggest buyout. S&P Global Ratings further said Tata Motors' passenger vehicle business will be under Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. The company will include TML Holdings Pte. Ltd. (BBB/Stable/–), the holding company for the group's international operations and issuer of the rated senior unsecured notes. 'We view Tata Motors' proposed acquisition of Iveco as strategic. It will expand the group's scale and geographic diversity. We estimate the acquisition will increase Tata Motors' commercial vehicles revenue and EBITDA by about 2x from fiscal 2026 (year ending March 31) levels,' it noted. What Agency Predicts On Jaguar Land Rover? It further noted that the performance of the passenger vehicles business, including its subsidiary, Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC (JLR), is likely to remain weak through fiscal 2026. 'Geopolitical uncertainties pose significant downside risks. Commercial vehicle sales volumes are also likely to remain under pressure, but higher realisations could temper the impact on revenues,' it said. Still, S&P Global Ratings said, 'Tata Motors' efforts to pay down debt over the past two years will allow it to navigate the tough operating conditions. For now, we estimate the company's ratio of funds from operations to debt will stay above 100 per cent over the next 12-24 months, maintaining sufficient headroom versus the downside trigger of 40 per cent.' The outlook also reflects JLR's continued progress in its transition to production of electric vehicles, including the launch of an electric Range Rover model by the end of the year, it said.
