NEW YORK, April 15, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Marc Mysterio, a Billboard-charting artist and undefeated professional boxer—IBA Boxing has issued a letter sanctioning Marc Mysterio vs. Jake Paul for their vacant 220 lbs title—has introduced new evidence in his lawsuit against Amazon Music (Case No. 1:25-cv-01705, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York), alleging the platform used an 'IF/THEN' filter to cripple his music's viability.
The Irish-Canadian artist, who logged 80 million streams from September 2023 to August 2024 as a voluntary Amazon Exclusive Artist, claims Amazon's filter replaced artist-level metadata with a '-' white-out symbol—rendering songs artist-less—preventing fan alerts and stations' streams.
Court filings include a letter of preservation requesting 17 items, such as Amazon's logs identifying when the alleged filter was activated, who authorized it, user error reports, and the implementing programmer's user-ID.

Former Bahrain resident and publisher Robin Barratt's new book focusing on mental health is set to hit the shelves next month, following Mental Health Awareness Month in May, and features entries from 32 countries including the kingdom. Anxiety and Depression is the seventh in a series of books he has compiled and published on the subject. The others include Suicide – volumes one and two, Addiction and Mental Health – volumes one, two and three. The latest 250-page book anthologises a collection of interviews, personal stories, poetry and short prose from around the world. 'I am still currently in the process of compiling it and have received almost 100 submissions. It is due for release mid-June, but with a submission deadline of May 31,' the 62-year-old Briton told GulfWeekly. 'It will be available as a paperback and in Kindle format on Amazon worldwide or directly from me in the UK,' the former security industry specialist, who currently lives in Norwich, added. Being on the autistic spectrum, Robin has had many mental health challenges throughout his life, which is why the theme of the book holds importance to him. 'I have been promoting positive mental health and mental health awareness for much of my life, and have taken a number of courses with organisations including the Red Cross. In 2020, I formed Poetry for Mental Health ( which is now the biggest organisation of its kind, supporting thousands of people around the world through words and poetry,' the former Hoora resident said. Visual artist and poet Anju Kapoor from Manama, who has been living in the kingdom with her family for the last 30 years, has shared her verses for the book, bringing alive a personal emotional journey. Ryan Gosling to star in new ‘Star Wars' film
After his scene-stealing turn as Ken in the 2023 blockbuster hit 'Barbie,' Oscar-nominated actor Ryan Gosling is taking on another huge pop culture franchise: the 'Star Wars' universe. Gosling will star in the upcoming 'Star Wars: Starfighter,' due for release in May 2027, Lucasfilm announced Friday at the Star Wars Celebration event in Japan. The film, to be directed by Shawn Levy ('Deadpool & Wolverine,' 'Stranger Things'), will be set about five years after the events of 2019's 'Star Wars: Episode IX -- The Rise of Skywalker,' Lucasfilm, a subsidiary of Disney, said in a statement. Fans cheered as Gosling and Levy made a surprise appearance at the Japan event to confirm the project, which will begin production later this year. The film will be 'an entirely new adventure featuring allnew characters set in a period of time that has not been explored on screen yet,' the company said.
