BAN vs PAK: New-look Pakistan and Bangladesh face off in T20 series
Agha has been leading the short format side with star batter Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan out since last year.
Pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi has been rested for the three-match series and seam bowlers Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim are also missing because of injuries.
Agha said the missing players could still be considered for the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka next year.
'We have changed the way we want to play but we are confident of our build-up and direction,' said Agha on Saturday.
'We are going for this series with ample preparations as Bangladesh can be a challenging team in their home conditions.'
New Zealander Mike Hesson is Pakistan's new white-ball coach. His first assignment was a 3-0 series win at home against Bangladesh 3-0 last month.

With leg-spinner Shadab Khan also injured, Pakistan has picked two uncapped fast bowlers in Salman Mirza and Ahmed Daniyal.
Bangladesh won a T20 series 2-1 in Sri Lanka last week.
'What happened in Sri Lanka is in the past,' said captain Litton Das.
'We have to face a new challenge starting tomorrow. We are ready for this challenge.
'We have the mentality to beat any team, but we have to play well on the particular day and not entirely bank on home conditions.'
Bangladesh has kept the same squad that went to Sri Lanka
The second and third matches are on Tuesday and Thursday, also in Dhaka.

A veterans' cricket game involving India and Pakistan in the tournament in Birmingham on Sunday, July 20, was cancelled after Indian cricketers, including Shikhar Dhawan, refused to be a part of it, citing the Pahalgam terror attack three months back. The second edition of the England and Wales Cricket Board tournament, which is co-owned by Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, began on July 18 at Edgbaston in Birmingham and is scheduled for an August 2 final. 'The whole world is talking about them. What message have they sent to cricket as a whole and to the fans? What are you trying to show? What are you trying to prove? Now don't play in the World Cup…don't play against us in any ICC tournament. Make this a promise," Butt said while speaking on his YouTube channel. 'See, we understand that everything has its place. But now that you are interlinking, don't play against us at any level or tournament. Not even the Olympics. Please do that. I would love to see," Butt said. 'What is this mindset? I just can't understand. Who is making this decision? Those 4-5 people who decided not to play, because of them, others, who probably had the mindset to play, felt pressured," Butt added. The former Pakistan cricketer said that the country wouldn't forget what India pulled off at the World Championship of Legends, adding that they will keep reminding them of their nationalism if they break their stance in ICC tournaments. World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh is the skipper of the India Champions, while the team features the likes of Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh, Yusuf and Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa and Varun Aaron among others. FIDE Chess World Cup 2025 in India from October 30
India will host this year's chess World Cup from October 30 to November 27 with a host city for the event to be named in "due course", the sport's global governing body FIDE announced on Monday. The tournament that will see 206 players battling for the coveted title and qualification spots in the 2026 FIDE Candidates Tournament. India last hosted the event in 2002 in Hyderabad where Viswanathan Anand won the title.
