JetBlue, Brightline team up for 'seamless' air-and-rail booking in Florida, what to know
Traveling on planes, trains and automobiles may get a little easier with a new partnership between JetBlue Airways and Brightline announced on June 3.
The New York-based airline, which has made Florida a priority in its expansion, and the nation's only privately-owned passenger rail are offering "a seamless air-and-rail booking experience for travel across Central and South Florida" by allowing JetBlue passengers to book both a plane and train trip directly on jetblue.com as part of a combined itinerary.
This allows travelers to Florida to hop off a plane and onto a train (or shuttle to a train) heading to one of Brightline's stations from Orlando down the Sunshine State's east coast in West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, and Miami. Tickets are expected to be on sale immediately.
The partnership also offers alternative itineraries for Brightline to fill in when air travel runs into problems. If your JetBlue flight is stuck in Orlando, you could take a train to your destination instead of waiting to take off.
'As we continue to grow in Florida and offer more flights to and from cities like Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Orlando, our partnership with Brightline helps us deliver even more value and convenience to our customers,' said Dave Jehn, vice president, network planning and airline partnerships, JetBlue.
'JetBlue and Brightline share a commitment to innovation and great service, and together we're expanding transportation options for all of our customers to get to where they want to go, whether they're starting their journey, heading to their final destination, or adjusting plans along the way.'
Just search by city (not airport) at JetBlue's site or on its app to get options, and you'll see suggested itineraries, which will include connections to a Brightline train segment.
JetBlue's economy tickets will match up with Brightline's Smart fare, and Mint passengers will get seats with Brightline's Premium service. according to a release.
When connecting from JetBlue to Brightline, you must collect all checked bags before going to the train station. Bag transfers are not provided.
'We are proud to partner with JetBlue to enhance connectivity throughout Florida,' said Barbara Drahl, senior vice president of marketing and commercial strategy at Brightline. 'This partnership enables travelers to book a single ticket for both air and rail, offering a fast, reliable, and eco-friendly rail transportation option while seamlessly connecting to JetBlue's extensive network.'
Brightline's Orlando station is located at Orlando International Airport, directly adjacent to Terminal C, connected by a walkway.
In South Florida, the Fort Lauderdale Brightline station is about five miles from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport. Brightline offers shuttle service, which can be included in the JetBlue air-and-rail booking.
Not yet, anyway.

Circle (CRCL, Financials), the issuer of USDC, saw its shares jump 245% in its debut weekan explosive public market entrance that could set off a wave of crypto IPOs, according to a new report from Bybit. The Dubai-based exchange, which ranks second globally by volume, said Circle's oversubscribed offering and first-week surge underscore rising institutional appetite for crypto equities. Analysts at Bybit believe Wall Street significantly underpriced the deal, underestimating demand and the sector's valuation dynamics. Advertisement The Circle IPO isn't just about one companyit's a signal that crypto is being taken seriously in traditional markets, the report noted. The Bybit Crypto Insights report names six other crypto-native companies preparing for public listings, including blockchain security firm Fireblocks and data analytics provider Chainalysis. Each is expected to draw multi-billion-dollar valuations amid a friendlier regulatory environment under the new U.S. administration. Bybit says this is a "reset moment" for how investment bankers approach crypto businesses, with conventional valuation models proving insufficient for companies native to decentralized finance. Bagel shop inside Dearborn Ford dealership gains cult following
Inside the Village Ford Parts and Service Center in Dearborn, Michigan, you can get more than just new tires and an oil change. Through the doors and to your left is Brazen Bagels. "New York-style delicatessen. All traditional. All correct," said Jacob Anson, co-owner of Brazen Bagels. Brazen Bagels has been operating in this space for two years. "We've done very well, and Dearborn just wrapped their arms around us like they've embraced us entirely," Anson said. Anson says his wife, Megan, is the inspiration behind the business. "My wife, she likes bagels. I was trying to get her a good one," Anson said. After developing the perfect recipe, the couple started selling bagels from home and at a local pop-up. "Everything I didn't sell, I took to businesses all around me. Just try my bagels," Anson said. One of those businesses was Village Ford. "They got a great product, and we needed to get somebody in here for our dealership. And it was just a perfect opportunity," said Jay Sturtz, general sales manager of Village Ford. Word has spread, and now there's a devoted following of regular customers. "I just stumbled in here, and I saw this sign outside and came in and tried it. The best bagels I ever had," said Ahmad Hammoud, owner of Big Red's Barbeque Pit. "Him and his wife are great people, so I will support them forever." In 2024, the shop hosted a fundraiser for humanitarian aid in Lebanon. "They support our community, and we have to make sure that as residents of Dearborn, residents of Metro Detroit, we support any business that is supporting the community," said Amer Zhar, a regular customer. Anson arrives at work at 4 a.m. and says Brazen Bagels focuses on quality. "I start rolling. I'm rolling all day until close. I'm baking and rolling about 120 dozen a week. I just keep it moving, and my team is amazing," Anson said. "Everything's very intentional and simple, no frills, no gimmicks, brown paper bag, like the sandwich is the star. The ingredients are organic, with halal options on the menu. "We're a husband and wife company based on quality, nothing else, and everything's organically grown. You probably heard about us. You probably didn't, you probably didn't see, like, a social media campaign or a big sign or anything, but just believe the hype," Anson said. If you're at Village Ford for an oil change or just hungry for some good food, come check out Brazen Bagels.
