Demi Lovato tied the knot with singer-songwriter Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes on Sunday in Southern California.
The 32-year-old Sorry Not Sorry hitmaker and her 34-year-old beau opted to stray from tradition in one part of the wedding.
A source told People that instead of following the gendered norm of having the groom recite his vows first, the couple played rock, paper, scissors to decide who would go first.
In 2021 Demi notably came out as nonbinary and announced her new pronouns as 'they/them.' The following year she said on Spout podcast that she had 'been feeling more feminine' and 'adopted the pronouns of she/her again.'
In 2023 she told GQ Spain another reason she'd started using she/her pronouns again was because educating people on gender was 'absolutely exhausting.'

'That is one of the reasons that has led me to also feel comfortable with the feminine pronoun... I just got tired,' she explained at the time.
On Monday it was revealed by Page Six that one of Demi's wedding dresses has a surprising connection to Miley Cyrus.
To walk down the aisle, the Texas native wore a pearl-white off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood gown, which fellow Disney alum Miley wore for her 2018 wedding to Liam Hemsworth.
Making their gowns slightly different, Lovato opted for a thicker silk satin material where Cyrus preferred a silk crepe variety.
Meanwhile, Hailey Bieber also sported an iteration of the designer look — hers a leg-baring mini style — for her 2019 wedding rehearsal dinner with Justin Bieber.
For her reception on Sunday, Demi she changed into a Vivienne Westwood strapless column dress.
The raven-haired beauty told Vogue about choosing the late designer's pieces for her big day, 'I have been a fan of Vivienne Westwood's designs for a long time.'
She added, 'When I was thinking about [what dress style I wanted] I often found myself coming back to Vivienne's designs — specifically how the silhouettes really compliment the curves in your body, and her use of corsets.'

Lovato announced her engagement on social media in December 2023, sharing photos taken moments after the proposal.
Jutes teamed up with New York City-based jewelry company Material Good's Teresa Panico to create a pear-shape diamond sparkler to present to his now-wife.
'I'm still speechless! Last night was the best night of my life and I can't believe I get to marry the love of my life @jutesmusic,' Demi wrote as she shared the news online.
She added, 'My love, I'm beyond excited to marry you. Every day I've spent with you has been a dream come true and I can't wait to love and cherish you forever. Here's to the rest of our lives. I love you baby!'
And as the couple counted down to their wedding this year, the pop star used Valentine's Day to express her excitement.
She gushed: 'Jordan, I cannot WAIT to marry you!! The past 3 years have been the best 3 years of my life and I have you to thank for that. I'm obsessed with your heart, your love and your light.
