Lisa's ‘Dream' Lyrics Detail a Haunting 2019 Breakup
'I've been thinking / That I got no idea what you're thinking / Are you happy? Are you sad? / Are you always gonna hate me for that night in Tokyo? / When it ended, I kinda hoped that it'd be open-ended / But you never looked back / Well, I guess you can't hold on to something once you let it go,' she sings in the first verse. In the chorus, she adds a bit of a timestamp to the relationship, singing, 'Whenever I close my eyes / It's taking me back in time / Been drowning in dreams lately / Like it's 2019, baby.'
The Blackpink singer has kept her personal life pretty private, especially back in 2019. While there were dating rumors about her at the time, Lisa never confirmed she had a partner.
In the hours following the release of 'Dream,' some fans brought up that during that period, Lisa had been linked to fellow YG Entertainment artist, Jung Jaewon, known by his stage name, One. He left YG Entertainment in July 2019.
But fan theories are fan theories. Only Lisa and her co-writers on the song, Ali Tamposi, Feli Ferraro, Shintaro Yasuda, and Her0ism, know who inspired the track.
One person the song is definitely not about? Lisa's current rumored boyfriend, LVMH Watches CEO Frédéric Arnault. They first sparked dating rumors years later, in 2022. Fans believe her Alter Ego track 'Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)' is about him. Billboard asked who the muse was for the song, and Lisa played coy, saying, 'I didn't write that.'
Still, both tracks lift the veil a bit on Lisa's inner world, with 'Dream' giving a particularly poignant look at how much Lisa cherished a lost relationship. Read the lyrics and listen to the song below.

‘Shin Godzilla' is coming to HBO Max
In other words, it was fun to watch with a room full of other people getting a kick out of the mundanity of bureaucracy in action inside the world of a monster movie. But if you can't get to the Somerville Theatre, where Advertisement The list of movies comes courtesy of the streamer's partnership with the distributor GKIDS, and also includes the beloved animated film, 'Your Name.‚' about a young man and woman who swap bodies, as well as a series of films getting their North American streaming debut, such as 'Shin Godzilla' director Hideaki Anno's 'Love & Pop,' about a teenage girl who's dating older men for money (Anno is also know for creating the beloved anime series, 'Neon Genesis Evangelion'). Advertisement 'Shin Godzilla' won't be part of the first batch of movies hitting HBO Max on Sept. 1, but it's worth keeping an eye out for it. I'm a big proponent of seeing things in theaters when you can for the communal experience, but catching it on HBO Max is still a fine option. Lisa Weidenfeld is an arts editor at the Globe. Kith's Fall 2025 Collection Was Made for Manhattan
On Sunday evening,Kithstaged its first runway in six years on the streets of New York City's NoHo neighborhood, just outside its newly renovated flagship store. There, designerRonnie Fiegrevealed a wide-ranging Fall 2025 collection tailored to Manhattan's excited pace, titled 'INSTITUTION.' The line included fiery patterned sportswear, logo-laden performance shirts, denim-infused tracksuits, and statement jackets repping New York's best sporting teams, the Yankees, Knicks, and Giants, among them — all ideal garbs for the chaos of a singular day in New York City. Outside of the athletic gear, the collection revived &Kin, the label's high-end tag for reinvented classics, expanded upon K-Tech, the imprint's lifestyle and performance line, and introduced a whole lineup of suede monogram bags on a palette counting colorways from 'Incognito' to 'Magma.' There was enough branding to go around, without going over the top. Meanwhile, on foot, Kith put forth Fieg's latest Black Tie Superstar and an all-new Braided Boston Birkenstock, as well as a new running model with adidas and the designer's latest 8th St Wallabee Collection with adidas Originals and Clarks Originals. As much as style claims the foreground for each of these designs, it's clear that Fieg is well aware that his clientele needs their footwear made for walking. A mix of prep and sport, the line catered to the spontaneous NYC lifestyle, exactly the reason one sweater read 'New York to the World.' And at the end of the show,Gashiand Jimi Banks fittingly delivered an impromptu performance for the crowd. See Kith's Fall 2025 collection, 'INSTITUTION,' in the gallery above.
