West End residents struggle to pay energy bills, survey suggests

A new survey by the Manitoba Eco-Network suggests that many residents in the West End struggle with energy poverty. That's when individuals spend a major portion of their income on high energy bills or can't access adequate heating or cooling services. Nearly half of the survey respondents said they accessed financial assistance for their household energy costs in the last five years.
