Dedicate Time & Space to Snuggles
You might not be willing to give up your nap or relaxation time during those first weeks of pregnancy. So, invite your partner to join you. Create a cozy space in bed, by the fireplace, or on the couch, and spend the day snuggling and snoozing together.
Stroll Around the Bookstore
If you're longing to get out of the house but keep the approach gentle, try a bookstore stroll. You can grab a decaf coffee and wander through the children's section together as you dream about reading to your little one later in the year.
Quick Tip
Look for books you both enjoyed as children and revisit the whimsy together or make a list of books you would love to share with your child.
The second trimester means your morning sickness and longing for naps could be decreasing and your energy levels are shooting up. You've got that gorgeous pregnancy glow and you're ready to show off your growing bump.
Go Dancing
If your energy is back and you want to show off that budding bump, a night of dancing might do the trick. Show off your bump and your skills in a fun outfit and go out dancing with your partner. Just use caution on your more adventurous dance moves.
Try All the Food Spots
A lot can happen while you're getting through the first trimester. Once your appetite is back, hit up some new local spots or try some new foods together. You might be able to satisfy some of those pregnancy cravings while you're at it.
Quick Tip
While there are tons of foods to enjoy while you're pregnant, there are a few that medical professionals recommend avoiding, so just know what to watch out for before you hit the restaurant.
Make Mocktails at Home
You're living the mocktail life for the next few months, so you may as well embrace it. Spend an evening making pregnancy-friendly mocktails and enjoying each other's company at home.
Helpful Hack
Add romance to the evening and share your mocktails under the stars or snuggled up in bed.
Try a Double Date
With your energy climbing and your nausea subsiding, you might finally feel like the company of friends. Plan a double date for food, a movie, or an exciting activity to catch up with your pals while spending quality time with your partner.

Men shot alongside Kodak Black seek $10.6 million damages
Two bystanders wounded by gunfire outside a Justin Bieber-hosted party in 2022 are seeking $10.6 million (£7.9 million) in damages from Kodak Black. The men claim they saw the rapper "initiate" the altercation that led to the gunfire that struck the No Flockin singer, as well as them. The pair were set to begin a civil trial this month, but a judge has vacated the date. At a Wednesday hearing in Los Angeles, the lawyer for Adam Rahman and Mark Schaefer told the court that Black was the sole remaining defendant and should be found "in default". That means that he hasn't responded and should be held liable by the court. "Kodak has never been served with any lawsuit from California," the rapper's longtime lawyer, Bradford Cohen, told Rolling Stone. "I find it unusual that they're attempting to sue the very person who was the most injured out of the individuals who got shot." The plaintiffs first asked for a $62 million (£46.5 million) default judgment against Black last November. The court denied the request, citing inadequate proof of damages. A follow-up request for $10.6 million (£7.9 million) was denied last month, with the judge noting the men were required to show proof of medical bills. The lawsuit initially named Bieber and the owners of the venue where the shooting happened as defendants alongside Black. A judge ruled that the shooting was not "foreseeable" to the restaurant, so the corporate defendants were dismissed in June 2024. The plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed Bieber as a defendant a few months later.

The trailer for Jordan Peele's football horror movie 'Him' is a blood bath
The trailer for Jordan Peele's football horror movie 'Him' is a blood bath originally appeared on The Sporting News Jordan Peele just unveiled the new trailer for his upcoming football movie "Him," and it's a bloodbath. Directed by Justin Tipping and produced by Peele, "Him" chronicles a young football player (Tyriq Withers) who is invited by an aging player (Marlon Wayans) to learn about the journey to achieving success by any means necessary. Also starring other noteworthy names like Julia Fox, Jim Jefferies, Akeem Hayes, Tierra Whack and more, this official trailer follows the teaser that was unveiled in April, which itself came just a couple of weeks after initial footage was shown during Universal's CinemaCon presentation. While at CinemaCon, Wayans jokingly compared "Him" to the 1990s classic "Rudy," which was shut down completely by Withers. "It's kinda like 'Rudy,' he told the crowd, which led to Withers quipping back, "It's nothing at all like 'Rudy.' As for the official trailer, the comments indicate major excitement. "Marlon Wayans being in this movie is exactly why I love comedic actors in serious roles. He totally CRUSHED IT in Requiem for a Dream," said one YouTube commenter. "Him" is set for Sept 19 release, which is just in time for the start of the 2025-2026 NFL season.
