Daily Mirror03-07-2025
Since returning from Glastonbury festival, Zara McDermott has been raving to fans about this spray that she said 'saved her skin' while she was away, leaving her with 'zero breakouts'
If you're looking for an affordable and effective way to avoid skin flare-ups when out in the sun this summer, Zara McDermott may have just the ticket. She shares one product she swore by to get her through Glastonbury with "zero breakouts even in the sun!"
What's more, this Hypochlorous Acid Spray from Base Laboratories that Zara raved about to fans comes with a wallet-friendly price tag at under £15 on Amazon, making it a cheap and sure-fire way to avoid inflamed skin during the warmer seasons.
Taking to her Instagram to share her love for this product, Zara said: "I took my Hypochlorous Acid to Glasto and it's literally saved my skin. If you suffer from perioral dermatitis like me, or eczema /rosacea inflamed skin, then you need to give this a go. I spray it on as soon as I get out of the shower, and then sometimes take a little one in my bag with me to spritz on my face through the day. I even put it on top of my makeup. Zero breakouts even in the sun!"
The spray that had Zara gushing was the Base Laboratories Hypochlorous Acid Spray, which is touted as a magic molecule spray that contains two active natural ingredients that promote skin healing. The wound cleanser is powered by pure hypochlorous acid and saline solution(sea salt water), which makes it ideal for helping relieve and heal all types of skin wounds, as well as providing relief from eczema, acne, skin irritations, redness, and can work as tattoo and piercing aftercare.
Praised as a safe and effective saline wound wash spray, this cleansing spray is Zara's secret weapon for keeping the skin clean and promoting fast healing. It helps to reduce all types of skin irritation. By cleansing the skin, the spray targets problems such as eczema at the source.
Great for everyone, from adults to kids and babies, this spray utilises pure Hypochlorous acid, a compound already produced by our body's natural defence, to add more directly to your skin, increasing the cleansing power and providing a smart and easy way to promote faster healing.
On Amazon, shoppers can find a 59ml bottle for the budget-friendly price of £9.99, a 240ml bottle for £13.99 or a two-pack of 240ml bottles for £24.99.
If you prefer to shop around and want to check out the competition, check out the TikTok viral brand, ISO Clean's Hypochlorous Spray, which retails for £12. Elsewhere, this Mario Badescu Reparing Facial Spray With Hypochlorous Acid currently sells for £18 over at Lookfantastic or head to Sephora to shop this Clinisoothe Skin Purifier for £14.95.

She even appeared on the spin-off show Aftersun to talk about Mimii while she was still in the villa. Yolanda and Mimii were also seen on the Boots UK YouTube channel for the Christmas Gift Swap video several months ago. She even shared clips after going on "50 first dates". In one video recently, the star shared a clip of her dancing as the text read: "Me fully embracing my destiny as the hot single auntie." But how was Yolanda's Love Is Blind UK journey? Fans can tune in to find out as eight out of the ten episodes are available to stream on Netflix now.

Zara then took to TikTok to share a closer look at the £34.99 Mary Jane Clog, which go from sizes infant 11 to junior 6 in the kids' sizes. They are also available in pink and white, and in adult sizes, while the toddler version goes from infant size 4 to 10. "Crocs have brought out a school shoe and that's what they look like," Zara said in her TikTok video as she held up the slingback black shoes, which have a slight platform. "Not to everybody's taste I'm sure but these I actually think they're quite cute!" She added that as her son "won't wear any other shoe" than Crocs, getting dressed for school in September will be made a whole lot easier thanks to the footwear. "Everything is all about feel with him, so Crocs are the only shoes he wears," Zara continued. "And when I saw these school shoes I was like, 'Done! Don't care how much they cost!' "Because every year I take them and try on school shoes and he picks a pair and then the next thing he's like two weeks in saying, 'no they're not comfy, I .don't like them, they really hurt my feet' blah blah'." She added that she's hoping her video makes it to other parents whose kids struggle with sensory issues. I'm a mum-of-four & my 5 tips will make going back to school cheap as chips - including uniforms for £4 & shoe vouchers And people in the comments section were quick to weigh in on the footwear find, as some pointed out that the shoes won't be particularly practical in wet weather. "All fun and games til Winter time in snow or rain," one person wrote. "Which you can't really help though but I'd wear those in the snow." "Love them!" another said. "I'd get my son them, who only wears Crocs or Skechers, but if it's a wet day their feet will be soaked!" "OMG, I've been having bother with shoes for Dakota - she only wears Crocs, she's the same as Charlie with sensory issues. "How have I never heard of these?" "I got my girls the barefoot school shoes," a third added. "They're the only shoes they'll keep on for more than five minutes... maybe 10! "Didn't know they did these, will have to get some now." "Hopefully he will be comfortable and have a happy start to the year. You're a brilliant mummy," someone else praised. "I have these, I love them!" another commented. 4 Her son won't wear anything other than Crocs, so finding these shoes means she'll avoid rows come September Credit: tiktok/@zaratweed89

Prior to her side hustle success, the 36-year-old lived beyond her means and used credit cards to support her family. But now, the Leicester-based parent has changed her fortune after she turned her hand to content creation, which sees her film and post reviews of plus-size clothing on TikTok. Now, Roxanne earns commissions on her videos and cashes in up to £5,000 a month, which has enabled her to clear her debts. Opening up to the BBC, Roxanne shared all on her 'life-changing' social media stardom. Despite having just 1,000 followers in February 2024 when she started, now, Roxanne has amassed almost 50,000 loyal fans. Prior to switching to TikTok full-time, the mother was working as a Slimming World consultant. She shared her first video reviving a TikTok Shop dress just last year, which saw her earn £200 commission in a week. Soon after, she was approached by other companies offering her samples to review. Roxanne explained: "In my second month I earned £600 and it just went up and up gradually. "I'm now earning up to £5,000 per month from just two to three hours' work a day, it's insane." I earn cash by selling 'actual rubbish' on eBay - I flogged a freebie I found on the floor by a bin for £10, it's crazy Now, Roxanne relies solely on her income from TikTok and while it varies slightly each month, she is now able to do more with her sons, aged six and 10. She added: "I took the kids on holiday - my youngest boy had never been abroad before. "Sometimes imposter syndrome does sneak in a little bit and I worry, but you could lose any job tomorrow." Do I need to pay tax on my side hustle income? MANY people feeling strapped for cash are boosting their bank balance with a side hustle. The good news is, there are plenty of simple ways to earn some additional income - but you need to know the rules. When you're employed the company you work for takes the tax from your earnings and pays HMRC so you don't have to. But anyone earning extra cash, for example from selling things online or dog walking, may have to do it themselves. Stephen Moor, head of employment at law firm Ashfords, said: "Caution should be taken if you're earning an additional income, as this is likely to be taxable. "The side hustle could be treated as taxable trading income, which can include providing services or selling products." You can make a gross income of up to £1,000 a year tax-free via the trading allowance, but over this and you'll usually need to pay tax. Stephen added: "You need to register for a self-assessment at HMRC to ensure you are paying the correct amount of tax. "The applicable tax bands and the amount of tax you need to pay will depend on your income." If you fail to file a tax return you could end up with a surprise bill from HMRC later on asking you to pay the tax you owe - plus extra fees on top. Roxanne's fans beam Social media users were overjoyed by Roxanne's success and eagerly raced to the comments to support her, with many desperate to do the same. One person said: 'So pleased for you, Roxanne!' I'm now earning up to £5,000 per month from just two to three hours' work a day, it's insane Roxanne Freeman Another added: 'So so so proud of you.' A third commented: 'Good on you Roxanne.' Meanwhile, someone else gushed: 'I wish this was me. Fingers crossed one day.'
