Man Utd open to offers for 'sensational' player in summer transfer window
Manchester United are open to offers for their high-earning veteran star Casemiro in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
The 33-year-old Brazilian midfielder pockets more money per week,£350,000, than any other player in United's squad under Ruben Amorim.
The Red Devils are thought to have a tiny transfer budget for the current summer window and the sale of Casemiro could help them free up funds.
Casemiro is currently under contract with United until the summer of 2026, with the option to extend his deal for another year.
But The Telegraph report that Casemiro could be heading for an exit if another club makes a bid for him before the start of the 2025-26 season.

Last year, football pundit Jamie Carragher said that Casemiro was no longer good enough for United and that he should consider a move to the Saudi Pro League or Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States.
'He should be thinking, 'I need to go to the MLS or Saudi' – I'm deadly serious,' Carragher said. 'He's aging, the people around him they need to tell him this has to stop.
'He's been an absolute great. I am nowhere near on a level of what that man has achieved. Champions Leagues, playing for Brazil, playing for Real Madrid.
'But I always remember something when I retired myself, there was a saying I always remember as a footballer, 'leave the football before the football leaves you'.'
Last month, fellow football pundit Rio Ferdinand singled out Casemiro for praise after United's 3-0 Europa League semi-final second leg win over Athletic Bilbao.
'I don't think Casemiro has put a foot wrong,' Ferdinand said about the Brazil international. 'He's been sensational tonight.
'He has been so disciplined. People have been talking about getting rid of him, his legs have gone etcetera.
'But I tell you what, he's come to the fore when they have needed him.'
Earlier this year, Casemiro said he was enjoying life at United and wanted to stay at the club until the end of his contract in 2026.
'I have to keep doing what I'm doing, with a lot of respect and education,' he told AS. 'Of course I'd like to play more. I don't know any player who doesn't want to play and help.
'Also, I'd like to help the club at this time. I approach things with respect for my teammates and the technical committee. And above all, I respect United, a club to which I'm very grateful.
'I have a year-and-a-half left on my contract and I'd like to fulfil it here in Manchester. I'm comfortable here and so is my family. They've adapted, we speak English.
'I'm very grateful to the Old Trafford fans and to the club. I'm happy at club level.'

Tottenham Hotspur have explained their decision to sack manager Ange Postecoglou despite leading them to Europa League glory. The former Celtic boss was axed on Friday evening in a 368-word statement - with Spurs saying it is 'one of the toughest decisions' they have made. While Postecoglou led the club to a European trophy, Tottenham's performance in the English Premier League was deemed unacceptable, finishing 17th - one place above the relegation zone. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Postecoglou had delivered on his promise of 'always' winning in his second season thanks to the 1-0 victory over Manchester United in Bilbao on May 21, etching the Australian's name into the history books as only the third Spurs boss to taste European success and the first in 17 years to lift silverware – provoking an outpouring of affection from a previously split fanbase. Postecoglou even delivered a mic-drop moment during a euphoric open-top bus parade in front of an estimated 220,000 people when he declared 'season three is better than season two', but chairman Daniel Levy had other ideas and has dismissed the man to deliver him a much-craved trophy. A statement from Tottenham read: 'Following a review of performances and after significant reflection, the Club can announce that Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'Achievement will live with us forever' 'Ange joined us from Celtic in the summer of 2023 and oversaw a period of change on the pitch, returning us to the attacking brand of football that has traditionally been associated with the Club, while writing a new chapter in our history by leading us to UEFA Europa League glory in Bilbao last month - an achievement that will live with us all forever. 'We are extremely grateful to Ange for his commitment and contribution during his two years at the Club. Ange will always be remembered as only the third manager in our history to deliver a European trophy, alongside legendary figures Bill Nicholson and Keith Burkinshaw. 'However, the Board has unanimously concluded that it is in the best interests of the Club for a change to take place. Following a positive start in the 2023/24 Premier League (PL) season, we recorded 78 points from the last 66 PL games. This culminated in our worst-ever PL finish last season. At times there were extenuating circumstances - injuries and then a decision to prioritise our European campaign. Whilst winning the Europa League this season ranks as one of the Club's greatest moments, we cannot base our decision on emotions aligned to this triumph. Ange Postecoglou guided Spurs to the Europa League. | Getty Images 'It is crucial that we are able to compete on multiple fronts and believe a change of approach will give us the strongest chance for the coming season and beyond. This has been one of the toughest decisions we have had to make and is not a decision that we have taken lightly, nor one we have rushed to conclude. We have made what we believe is the right decision to give us the best chance of success going forward, not the easy decision. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'We have a talented, young squad and Ange has given us a great platform to build upon. We should like to express our gratitude to him. We wish him well for the future - he will always be welcome back at our home. 'News on the appointment of a new Head Coach will be announced in due course.' Next Spurs manager favourite Brentford boss Thomas Frank has been installed as the bookmakers' favourite to replace Postecoglou, who departs following a rollercoaster ride in his first Premier League role. Postecoglou released a statement via his agency CAA Base, saying: 'When I reflect on my time as manager of Tottenham Hotspur, my overriding emotion is one of pride. The opportunity to lead one of England's historic football clubs and bring back the glory it deserves will live with me for a lifetime.

Right or wrong decision? Fans react to Postecoglou's exit
We asked for your views on Tottenham sacking manager Ange are some of your comments:Steven: Cannot believe he wasn't given one more year - the injuries throughout the season were an indictment of the board's financial constraints, leading to a small squad susceptible to injury - which board members are resigning in shame? We know the answer - Levy must stay out of the game; he clearly doesn't understand. It can't always be the manager at fault - we have had some of the best in the world. Ange should, at the very least, have been given the Super Cup Shocking/wrong decision, but consistent with boardroom decisions in the past. What other clubs would identify it as a failure to complete a season with a European trophy and entry into the Champions League and then sack the manager? Disgraceful!!Stephen: 100% the right decision - incredible to win the Europa this year, but tactically inept at any decent level. Excuses all season - squad is top six - coach was bottom I think Levy is right to sack him now. I'm sure he will do well in many other leagues, but the Premier League is relentless. He was tactically naive. However, who would come to Spurs at the moment?Tom: Relieved! It's great winning a trophy for the first time in 17 years, but we can't forget the embarrassment in the league this season with Arsenal and Chelsea doing the double on us, not to mention the record number of losses. He was simply out of his depth. Now, with Champions League football, we can attract a better manager.
